Of course...knowing flight information I started poking around and I did find the golf cart info on Delta's website. I have called our TA to have her add that request to ATL (especially) and to add DGM wheelchair info to her reservation. They do like to have all that info ahead of time. I am going to talk it out with my TA but if we can get the golf cart service I am hoping that 1 hour will be ok..although if we have issues with flight delays in Dayton.... we could run into trouble. I think I will express that concern also just to see what she thinks. We are not locked into a specific time to get to Orlando since we are flying in the night before. (Planned this so I wouldn't panic about getting to the ship on time)-I had nightmares when I first booked the cruise!! I mean that literally! I had nightmares about missing flights ..or missing the ship!

I have located all our seats- most in the average places..nothing too good..nothing too bad. I am just thrilled to be flying since this is my first flight..although I am of bigger stature (ahem, saying it nicely) so I was a little concerned about the size of the seats..but it is only for a couple of hours each flight so I can tough it out..I am strong!

Here's hoping that all that want upgrades get visited by the upgrade fairy!! Even at the last minute!!!

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wrong! I assumed just because the reservation still said cat 12 that was what we had... I checked ! WE GOT UPGRADED TO 9's!!!

Teri, as others have said the "cat 12" is what you're PAYING for, the room assignment is what you GET. What a wonderful lift to your spirits. "Medical" years can be a bummer.

Door signs-where do I go to make one? We just print them off at home, right? I don't know where to even begin.

I love designing..if you want help? We are just going to print out at home and laminate then get some sticky magnetic strips. Easy and inexpensive.

Buttons...Also, I ordered our buttons...Zazzle refused to make them. I thought that if I did them for just myself and didn't publish them for public use I could get them--but no luck. So I will have to use some of my 'approved' designs. I was making our buttons match our door sign. <sigh> Zazzle just doesn't like my art... Good thing I am making our door signs at home...so beat that Zazzle!

finally it seems real!! this is a thrill and a half. we have a room. we have a flight. what could be more real than that, and three weeks to go. DGD is doing well, recovering from surgery. my this place is getting soooo busy, i love the good things going on with the group soon we will meet and get to really know one another. can't wait, it's going to be such fun. bless DD for doing all the work, i'm not very proficiant on this computer, wouldn't know where to start. it's getting real close, don't anyone else get sick now!! grab your life jackets and suitcases, we are on our way.

Hi all-

I, too, have not been receiving any email notifications that there is activity at the board so I haven't been here in a while. What is the deal with this board? Anyway, SO GLAD that (almost) everyone has received their long awaited upgrades. Still holding out hope for the rest of you who haven't....

I am also so glad to hear that everyone that has suffered through some sort of medical drama is on the mend. An update on our DGM is that she had to go back in for more surgery to repair what they could of her shattered heel. We don't know how successful it will be until she is well enough to actually start using it. DGM has been finally moved from a hospital to a rehab center for care. She is in good spirits and that is all we can ask for I guess.

I have decided to not try and stress myself out about pins and door signs. For some reason, this causes me great anxiety so therefore, I may axe it all together. I may just order the pin so that people can identify me. My DH and kids won't wear them so no need for them. I am also going to check at michael's as I am pretty sure they have those button makers for kids that are fairly cheap. Will see....

Our flight times were changed by the airline to 3 hours later than expected; from 12pm to 3 pm. Nice, huh? 3 weeks out! So I was so angry because that was now putting us in at 10pm on the 4th and we are scheduled for a full day at Discovery Cove the next day and with our time change, we would have been exhausted! When I called to yell at the airline, they said they can probably put us on the 9 am flight for no charge since the change was on THEIR behalf and it was more than 2 hours. That winds up working out even better for us so I am psyched!

Well that is our update. counting down the minutes....

Good point about all the variety on board. Maybe I'll have fresh fish for Thanksgiving this year.

I don't know celebrating Thanksgiving later, eating turkey on a Thursday just seems out of sorts, unless it is Christmas. Besides we don't get American Thanksgiving off.

To All Dis family members, those who post and those who lurk, if you are going on this cruise; please wear something lime green, a pin, shirt, ribbon, flower, yes I said flower, shoes, hankerchief, hat, key ring, etc.
