October 5, 2008 Wonder Cruise!

Does everyone have their cruise documents already? Ours still aren't here and I wanted to check with everyone else. Less than 2 weeks!

- Scott

we received documents for one room about a week ago. when we had not received the documents for the other room i called DCL. They said that they went out Thursday by UPS and should be here by Wed. (9/24). The one we already received was for the room paid in cash. the documents still to come are from the one paid for by DVC points. although the documents did not need to go through DVC to get to us they were still sent out later. go figure.
so we're on the lookout.

Haven't gotten ours yet, When I called they said it was delivered to Houston last Monday, so i suspect it soon.

We got our DOC's today. My DW waited until I got home from work so we could open them together. Now all we have to wait on is to see if we can get our first choice of resorts, The Boardwalk Villas, for our stay at WDW after our cruise. We have reservations at Saratoga Springs but we're “wait listed” at the Boardwalk and the Beach Club.

:confused3 BTW, has a time and an area on the ship been selected yet so we could all meet and put a name to a face?

Cat. 9 to a Cat. 6...That's great. We always do a Cat.6. The veranda is awesome. It's nice to watch the sun rise and set from the veranda. It's also nice to just sit back and relax and watch the ocean waves go by. A few cruises back we were lucky enough to have been upgraded from a Cat. 6 to a Cat. 3… Now that was also a great upgrade.

Congrats:banana:

Hi there all

I will be sailing on the Wonder which leaves Cape Canaveral on Oct 5 and will be in Nassau on Oct 7. I am planning on playing the Cable Beach Golf Course.

I have not made any tee times as of yet, but if there is anyone out there who would want to play and share a cab to the course please PM me. I will already have my clubs with me since we are in WDW before sailing.

If this works out, we should have a tee time in place before sailing since we cant contact the course after we sail. I don't think the ship can help us since they dont have any golf excursions for Nassau.

I am planning on playing solo or with some company so don't be shy!

We finally got our stuff! I don't know why I was so worried. Maybe because this makes it official :thumbsup2 Their is still some stuff left to buy: underwater camera's, Wine for Palo... slowly but surely I will get everything!

Hi everyone,

It has been crazy busy around here. We leave next Tues. I finally made our first night reservation for the Airport Hyatt. Got it on Hotwire for $109 so it was a bit of a savings. If anyone needs to stay on Saturday Night it is listed for $85. We will be at WDW on Oct 1st when the FE list is posted so I think we are going to skip it this time around. If I get a chance to pick something up, I'll have the kiddos deliver a little something.

My kids are sooooo excited and all packed. Now DH & I have to pack. I LOVED the ziplock bag idea on the board. My kids have each day clothes and night clothes packed in ziplocks with the day of the week marked on it. I'm not going to be the suitcase maid on this trip...:rotfl:

So glad to hear that everyone's health is good to go! Chat soon, Lisa

Hey everyone. Me again :) So My BF is going to wear the gorilla suit for MNSSHP but we want to bring it on the plane with us just in case the suitcases don't arrive in time for us to change for the party. Does anyone know if security will freak out about having a costume with a mask on board? we checked the rules and they said nothing about that, but I don't want to find out when I get there that actually that's the number one rule or something. I don't want to ship the costumes ahead of time because that freaks me out too. What if they get lost? Any Ideas, or do you think it should be fine in our carry on?

:cool1: Single digit dance! Anyone want to join in? I hope after tomorow's injection I will be able to dance but the wheelchair and cane are coming on this trip too! Annmarie

Hey everyone ! We leave tomorrow night for Florida...:cool1: We're almost packed -- we have sooo much stuff between a week at WDW, then the cruise. I'm planning on going through the luggage again to take some stuff out. I'm trying to think "minimalist" - yeah, right. :rolleyes1 Also, I'm still trying to decide if we're going to dress up for Pirate night -- packing clothes and knee high boots all the way to FL to wear for a couple of hours is hard to justify... Oh well, we'll see how I feel in the morning.

I'll PM my info to Ursula about the FE stuff. I'll have a laptop on the trip, so I will be able to check email and the DISboards while at WDW...:surfweb:

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone !!! See ya soon !

Aloha -- keahi

Are we going to meet??? Anyone want to step up and make a suggestion? This is our first cruise, so I wouldn't have any idea what to suggest.

Looks like our plans may change a bit. My DH is more than likely going to stay home and work and my Mom is going to go with us on the cruise. It will be her first and we are so excited. I called DCL and they said we could change one passenger up to the day before the cruise for only $36. Has anyone done the Dolphin Encounter at Nassau? Disney is booked, but I called them direct today and they said they still had a spot or two available. Just wondering if it was worth the trouble.
