I just checked the weather for our intinerary on weatherchannel.com and we have a beautiful day in Key West, but rain in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel. :sad1: Does anyone know of any other websites to check for weather? I'm on the fence about canceling my excursions for Grand Cayman and Cozumel. They're both beach excursions and expensive for a family of 4. I don't know what to do.:confused3

jmho but I wouldn't cancel plans based on a forcast 10 days in advance. (Unless it was something huge and more predictable like a hurricane.)
Most meteorologists can barely get the next day correct.

Two other websites are:

www.accuweather.com and www.weatherunderground.com

It is way to far out to cancel anything yet.. Those days are a week and half away, lots can change...

I finally finished our FEs. I had to iron on some decals to make them a little more decorative and get names on them. Didn't turn out as well as I wanted, but they will work.
Now to hopefully finish packing. I need to get it down to 4 suitcases and 4 carryons. Talk to you tonight on chat.

I know I am going to forget something.... most everything is packed but all that little stuff is killing me! For a family of 5 we have tons of bags,(the reason for us driving) any other big families out there?? How many bags do you have? We have 1 bag that is JUST costumes:)
We leave Wed and I still have so much to do! I know it will get done but I just stress too much when it is close to vacation!
Thanks for letting me vent guys!! Cant wait to meet all of you is LESS than a week!!

I agree with everyone else. Don't stress about the weather. Way too far out and just because it shows rain somewhere that doesn't mean the whole day would be a washout. There could be a stray shower and sunshine the rest of the time. That's my outlook anyway!! :)

I am soooo glad I started packing weeks ago. My son is fighting off a nasty cold and I'm recovering from the same nasty thing. No throwing up or the other, just a low grade temp for the son and a stuffy head for me. So far no sign of it in my husband, but REALLY hoping my daughter doesn't get it!!! :scared1:We had over 300 kids out of our high school last Fri. I would love to keep everyone home until we leave!!!! After all of this, the weather WILL be nice and sunny!!!!:wizard:Right now we are carving a pumpkin, then going upstairs to finish packing. Only 5 more days:banana:

My family of 4 traveling across the country only has one suitcase per person. And that's for 2 weeks :scared1:. We packed the kids stuff in one bag and used the 4th suitcase for my suits, dw dresses, costumes, etc. We only got one bag each because I'm too cheap to pay for more bags on the airplane. We all have our own carry-ons packed with whatever we each need for the plane rides. We try to use the motto, "less is more" when we travel to the east coast. But don't get me started when we drive to Disneyland; good thing I have an SUV .

Good luck!

I wouldn't cancel right now. You never know how the weather may change between now and then. That's quite a ways out. :)

I decided to leave names off of ours for now. :) We'll see how that goes. Glad you got yours done, Teresa!!

We will probably forget stuff, too - and we're a family of 5, as well. We have one BIG bag with JUST FE gifts. :rotfl:

We have tons of bags, too. I'm not sure how many yet. We're leaving on Wednesday, as well.

I know how you feel. I got a lot packed this weekend, but it is the little stuff I am worried about forgetting that I can not pack until Friday morning. That, and the garmet bag with formal wear and semiformal wear. I do not want to pack that stuff yet so it does not get wrinkled. My DD has a clipboard and following me around writing stuff down for me not to forget.

I will pack on Tuesday. :) Lots to do before then. Life goes on even if I'm on a cruise.

There are 4 of us. 1 suitcase for each, 1 backpack carry-on for each. Are any of you packing costumes or are you taking them as carry-on? I'm with the other "cheap" person who hates paying for checked bags!:) I also packed most of my stuff in those x-large Ziploc bags. You can (this is gonna sound goofy..) sit on them, squish all of the air out (can you say cheap spacebags?). I've split my stuff into 2 giant bags, in case the airline decides to lose our luggage! Heading upstairs to do battle with the 7 yr. old daughter and packing her stuff! Wish me luck!

So DH succumbed to peer (wife) pressure and got a halloween costume today. :lmao: He is only wearing a pirate bandanna and tshirt for pirate night (kids and I are wearing costumes), but at least he is finally conforming to my "Disney" mania planning.

I tried spliting our stuff between two bags as well, but I will be mighty angry if either one got lost. LOL We are doing 3 checked bags and then each of us with a carry on. May not need all of the carryons though. We will see once I do the final packing Friday morning.

We are at 4 suitcases right now (including the FE), pretty sure we will get to the fifth if I can't repack this stuff smarter ;).

You know what though, i don't care if I have 20 at this point.. I only have 2 1/2 days of work left and then I am on vacation, a much needed vacation. :thumbsup2
