That is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. $4.50 per picture (Not printed) IF you have 90 pictures taken, don't take 90 and you pay even more... On top of that they are reducing the size of the photo's to 1 meg which really isnt a great idea as it really does limit your sizes, yer you could get a 8 x 10 printed but it won't be of the quality you would get it they give you the photo in the size shot.. I am sure some folks are interested in this but I can do alot more with my money, heck that is a new digital camera, lens, etc.

This is the current Shutters print pricing listed in the 2009 Passporter Guide to DCL.

The professional photos at Shutters come in two sizes: 6 x 8 prints are $10 each (10 for $85, 15 for $120, 20 for $150, or 30 for $220); 8 x 10 prints are $20 each (5 for $85, 8 for $130, 10 for $150, or 15 for $220). Formal portraits and some other shots only come in 8 x 10. Purchased photos are placed in flexible cardboard folders, or you can buy padded folders or frames. Photos are copyrighted and you can be fined up to $500 for unauthorized duplication—
go to http://www.image.com/html/guest-postcruiseCopyrightReleaseForm.cfm to download a copyright release waiver. Tip: Shutters can turn your family portrait into greeting cards with lots of “character!” These greeting cards are now available year round

Kids Chat tonight 8 - 9 PM ET.

Here is an article from the Orlando Sentinel from 8/30/09 on the coming changes to Castaway Cay discussed in the above thread.

Also I found this article in a 1999 issue of Outside Magazine on the history of Castaway Cay .

Enjoy!

I like your thinking Jeff!

Any luck with Palo yet?

With Taryn being so sick, I feel so out of the loop with the DIS boards and chat :(

No luck with Palo. I check everyday though. But Patty, don't worry about my Palo reservation, focus on getting Taryn healthy.

Just finished booking my dining for Orlando...it's getting so close! We are going to try Ohana's for breakfast, Akershus Royal Breakfast and Chef du France with Remy for a late lunch...has anyone ate at any of these places? We try to eat somewhere different every trip. After the cruise we are going to do Dine with Shamu.

We ate at the Akershus Breakfast on our first trip to WDW in 2005. It was very good, but I'm not sure if it's the same menu. It was a traditional Norwegian meal. If you don't mind trying something new it was a lot of fun. Check the current menus at Allears or Passporter to see if it's something your family will enjoy. We always try to eat in different places on our return visits, too. The food is why we go!

Is anyone still interested in this? With just about 9 weeks until sailing, if you were going to try the Couch 2 5K training schedule you need to start now. I've attached a link if you want to review the program. I started it a month ago and it's been very easy and user friendly. I still plan on doing the Castaway 5K but wanted to see if anyone else is still planning it (run, walk, jog, crawl, skip). I'll run around a tranquil Castaway Cay alone if I have to, but I'd rather have company and I think there needs to be more than me for them to schedule it. However, if people have lost interest, that's OK. I think there's still plenty of activities going on that day.

Ohana's Breakfast is awesome and Dine with Shamu is one of my favorite meals in all of the parks.

Is Taryn not any better, Patty?????

No, she took a turn for the worst yesterday. I brought her to the local hospital around noon with a 103.8 fever and vomiting. They think a kidney infection and transported her to Jersey Shore Hospital which has a special Children's Hospital. They admitted her and feel at this point it is a UTI and are looking into a possible E Coli infection. Mike is spending overnights with her and I am up during the day, but I am supposed to return to school on Thursday. Hopefully I'll have more answers when I head up there in a few hours. Thank you all for being concerned!
