October 31, 2009

We decided that we want to try and do the Palo brunch. This means being up at midnight now this coming Sunday/Monday (and I'll be a wreck at work).
Anyway, I want this to be as smooth and painless as possible. So what do I need to know?
I already know how to login and get my reservation pulled up.
Someone said that you can't do that until Midnight. Does that mean you can't login, or you can't access the reservation until midnight?
Once I am in, what can I expect? How do I know what days and times are available for 4 people?
What are the hours of the brunch in the first place?
Someone said that since we dock in the afternoon on Sunday at Key West, that the brunch will also be offered then. Is that correct?

On a side note - our FE is about 3/4 done now. Should finish in the next week or two. I'll post pictures (if I can figure out how)

Happy Monday everyone, 12 weeks from now I will be on a sea day in the middle of the Caribbean, what will you be doing???

Just an FYI, Anyone who sent me a PM with info in the last few days requesting updates to the cruise mate listing or the Fish Exchange listing on the website, those changes have been complete. Please review for accuracy..

Also, as we get closer it would be wonderful if everyone would review both the cruise mates listing and the FE listing and provide us with any missing information. Very important is on the FE listing if there are any restrictions that we must know about before providing gifts to your room, I need to add it to the comments section, especially if it is a allergy restriction of some type.

Right around the sign up cutoff date I will do a PM to confirm everyone's participation so we have accurate numbers

Also, I was wondering if someone would be willing to collect the dates of all the Birthdays and put together a list with cabin numbers.. I know there are lots of kids and adults birthdays on the ship and I want to pick up birthday cards to drop in the FE's for them.. I thought they would get a kick out of that! I would do it but honestly, the FE organizing is a lot for me and Shell has lanyards and chat so who wants this?

I will be happy to post the listing on the website and bring printed copies to everyone for when we get on board.

I will try to make chat on Wed but not sure yet, looks like more OT this week

You can't be logged into your account until 12:01 am, if you are your account will lock you out of making the arrangements for at least 20 minutes and you don't want that to happen.

From all I have read, there should be a PALO brunch on Key West Day.

Great on the FE, I can't wait to see it

I can't even contain my excitement!!!! Just wanted to share with all of you that my trip is paid in full and also my request for main dining came through. They also assigned me a room #. It was for a cat. 11 gty and we were given room #7539 which I think is pretty good. It would have been nice to get an upgrade to have the split bath, but the location and deck seem great so no complaints here. Now if I could just get the plans for the rest of the trip together!

I will do it. Everyone - please PM me any birthday's being celebrated on the cruise. Please include name of birthday boy/girl, birth date, and if it is a child, their age. If adults want to provide their age, go for it. LOL Please also include room number.

Hey Jeff,

I just went on the site to check this out for you. There are no brunch reservations curretnly available :( but there are dinners still available.

However, when we last cruised I was able to get a Palo brunch ressie on embarkation day, so don't lose hope!

DCL holds a number of tables at all Palo seatings for the first time cruisers to make reservations when their day opens up so chances are there really are tables available for brunch you just can't see them as they are hidden until next week, they do the same thing and hold some tables back until embarkation day. They have to do this or they risk alientating new cruisers and last minute cruisers.

It is very important that you sign on at 12:01 and look for those first since this is the time you really want, but have a back up ready to go and pick that if the first brunch isn't available, you may be able to trade it when you get on the ship.

Jeff:

When we did ours at 90 days we scheduled a chat for 11:00 PM in order to pass the time waiting for 12:01. We had a good group on the chat and it was not only those for 90 days out. We had some from concierge level who had already made their ressies, and some that would not be able to make them until 75 days out. So why don't you throw out an invite to schedule one for Sunday Night at 11:00 Pm on the 16th. Actually who knows maybe we can keep the 8:00 PM Sunday Chat going to midnight countdown. Our 11 PM chat ended closing down at 1:30 AM at 90 days out.

I know that we have 10:30 am thursday palo brunch, and so does queenie16 and i beleive that their is also some that mentioned that they have 11:00 AM for thursday also.

Truthfully I had my mind set for Tuesday Palo Dinner at 6:00 and Thursday Palo Brunch at 10:30 so i did not notice if their was Brunch offering on Key West Sunday.

Talk to you on the NJ Chat this evening!

Steve

the chat idea sounds good. My only problem is that the chat often makes my pc freeze up. so if I chat, I'm going to want to sign out of the chat about 10 minutes before midnight, so i know my pc is good and ready.
I think we want a Thursday brunch, but not sure how many they have available and what our chances are for booking it.

I think you should think about a sick day Monday. :rotfl: Good luck!

Since we've never done this before, how do we book our stuff online Sun/Mon night?

Thanks,

Kristen

We're under 80 days before the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing that I would do is familiarize yourself with the www.disneycruise.com website.

I would make sure that you are registered with the website prior to Sunday night. If you are I would login and choose the option that shows already registered. One you do the screen will change and there is a screen that asks for you reservation number and birthdate.

enter them and you will then access mycruise section of the website. On the left there will be a buch of options listed. Scroll over them and they will describe what each title will allow you to do. Access the one for booking excursions, dining and kid clubs.

On that screen there should be 4 buttons excursions, dining, spa, and in believe nursery. If you have not reached your booking window they will be greyed out. Once Monday rolls around they will be colorized and then you can click on what you want to book. Each section will list what is available by day. just scroll down to what you want and click. it will show those in your reservation that you want to book for. It will show you as uncomfirmed once you click it and once you are completed in that csategory go to the bottom of that particular page and click update i believe it is and that will confirm your reservation.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask once you have had the opportunity to explore before Sun PM/Mon AM.

So I am all set to log in at midnight sun/mon at our 75 day mark, so I can book things. I am logging in at midnight because I was told things can go fast and if I wait until the morning I might not get them.
We basically just want a Palo brunch and a spa.
Question is, I can't do them both at the same time. I need to do one first and then the other. Which one is the likely one to go quick that I need to do it first.
My guess is the Palo brunch, but I could be wrong

I would think the Palo brunch ... but that might depend on what spa treatment you choose.

Jeff I would think that the Palo Brunch would be the first thing to book since they are limited to three days where the spa is open every day.
