Hi everyone,

We signed on for the cruise about a month ago but recently found the cruise meets link. Just read through the many post, We are also from NJ, as a lot of others on the ship are as well. Kids were very excited about signing up for excursions tonight and we also got our Palo Ressie.

Can we be included in the Lanyards and meet up groups. It is myself (John), DW(Susanne) and DD 13, DS 12 and DS 8.

Sorry I missed the chats last night.... We are in Baltimore for the Red Sox game. I stayed awake to make the ressies and then crashed! Depending on what time we get back to NJ tonite I will be going to the chat room. Hopefully there will be a game right now its raining

Hi, I thought I'd post our Palo reservations since I missed last night chats .... the ride home from Baltimore took alittle longer than we thought.
Palo Bruch: Thursday at 11:00 am
Palo Dinner: Tuesday at 6:00 for half our group and 6:30 for the other half. We are hoping to fix it once on board so we all can eat together.
Dumb question after the fact.... Pirate night is on Wednesday, right? The most recent Navigator list it on Tuesday. I don't want to miss the Pirate's dinner. Talk to everyone soon

A few things/Questions

A - Only 1 month left. No arguments please. It is how I want to see it. I don't count August since we are in this month. I don't count October since we leave then. So the only month to count is September. It is sort of like today is Thursday and you have plans for Saturday and you say "Only 1 day left".

B - For us new cruisers, we are allowed to book things 75 days out right? When exactly is that? Midnight on what day? Will we still be able to get Palo brunch and spa reservations?

C - At the 75 day mark, when we get reservations (hopefully), Does everyone book the spa and the brunch for days at sea? That is what we would want. Which days are that? I assume those are harder to get.

D - if we want ress for days at sea, do we HAVE to try at midnight? You all got luck with a weekend so midnight was not a big deal, but I think ours is mid week. If I wait until the morning (we get up at 5:30am) would I be out of luck? Do you think there are that many first time cruisers that are informed enough to get reservations at midnight?

E - We are in joining rooms with my parents (link reservations). If we wanted Palo together, can that be done with one palo res?

F - do I need some sort of login to the web site that I need to setup first so as not to waste time the day I try to make things?

E - We are in joining rooms with my parents (link reservations). If we wanted Palo together, can that be done with one palo res? Yes, all linked guests will show up when making the reservations. Just check mark the guests you would like at Palos.

F - do I need some sort of login to the web site that I need to setup first so as not to waste time the day I try to make things? Yes, it should be the same login you use to check your reservations.

I could only help with a few.... This was how it worked for me this past weekend. I logged in at 12:01 AM on the 2nd I counted it as late Saturday night early Sunday morning. I was able to get Palo ressies for our group ( we were linked together). We had to do 2 reservations: because we are a party of 8 but we got the same time. It looks like brunch is only on either Monday or Thursday (days at sea)

The DCL web site has recently been updated. If you haven't been there in a while I reccomend going on and playing around. There is a section that tells you when you can log in and make reservations.

Hi guys - some of you mentioned renting an electric car for Key West day.

I just called A & M Rentals and reserved ours.

On their website they say 4 hours for $99.00 but when I called it is actually 5 hours for $99 when you reserve ahead. Also, they have 6 seat cars which are not advertised on their website in case anyone needs that. I booked a four seat for us.

Andy told me you just call about 10 minutes before you plan to walk of the ship and they send the shuttle down for you. Oh and you don't have to leave your credit number when you make your reservation. Just a cell phone number that you will have with you that day.

Jeff you definiately want to try at Midnight, DCL holds so many aside for castaway members at the 90 day mark, then so many for the 75 day mark. More are held for the 90 day mark but they are available for 75 days.. The problem with waiting is your choices of times become very limited the longer you wait

E - We are in joining rooms with my parents (link reservations). If we wanted Palo together, can that be done with one palo res? Yes you can actually book all the reservations for both rooms at one time as long as the 2nd reservations (your parents) are not logged on at the same time.

You can't be logged in until 12:01, its just how DCL does it but you definitely want to be familiar with your cruise plans section when you log is as that is where you will do your reservations.

Looks like the 2011 cruises are being announced in Sept with a October booking date so we will be able to book for the new ship while we are sailing and get the onboard discount and credit. Hopefully we will once again be able to pay ½ price deposit.

Kelly, can you book those on board then convert to DVC points? Or can you even book on your points while on board or just the old fashion cash way? I'm not sure there's any reason to book with points on board unless you get an early booking window. What's the deal?

Last night was horrible. Internet service was down from 4:30 pm until ???? I was so mad that I could not get on the chat last night. I was in the middle of planning a trip to Disneyland and got locked out. UGH. I thought I was going to cry at 8:00 knowing you all were chatting and I was missing.

I am definitly booking. I really want to get on one of the West coast cruises, but would not mind a new ship...decisions, decisions, decisions.
