Hey all fellow NJ cruisers --

I know that many of you have booked going out of Philly BUT I booked Jet Blue from Newark to Orlando, nonstop, last night. The one way tickets were $114 each plus $20 for the extra 3-4 inches of leg room in a guaranteed seat. Now I just have to watch for the November tickets to be released so I can get home!!!!! We are going on Friday, October 30 so we can spend some time shopping in Downtown Disney since we won't be going to "the world" this November. Hope all of you are doing well!!!

Hi guys -

I'm back from our WDW trip. It was a blast!!! Now time to concentrate on the cruise :cool1: :cool1:

I just uploaded my first 4 videos from my trip last week.

I still have 5 hours to review and edit..

Move, it shake it street party - I LOVE this parade. Disney did it right.
Voices of Liberty - When You Wish Upon A Star
Mulch Sweat and Sheers opening ESPN the Weekend
AK Rope Drop

They are on my blog, link below. Hope you enjoy

Have any of you driven & parked at the terminal before? I was just reading something in the Passporter about ants & I was getting nervous. I was wondering how bad they are, and if we should expect them to be in the car when we get back.

We parked 2 cars there last September. We didn't have any issues at all.

Thanks, that's good to know. Last thing we want after an amazing vacation is to have to drive back to NJ with a car full of ants.

I hear you on that. We only have to go to Georgia, but we have QUITE enough ants here and need not bring any home as pets. :)

We *were* careful to not leave any food in the vehicles, though.

Thanks for taking care of all of that, Susan!

Susan -

THANKS so much for going though all the posts and PM'ing everyone..

Susan has sent me all your updates and I will work to get them up on the cruise site as soon as possible. Still recovering from our WDW trip last week LOL..

From this point on please send Susan all Fish extender information as she is the master of the list. She will forward me your information and I will update it to the web. I will continue to handle the shipmates list.

A Couple other ideas I was thinking we need someway to identify each other when we are getting on board and on the cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do? Tshirts would be great but that only covers one day. I was thinking maybe a pin, button, something like that. If it is a button I could design it and post the graphic and directions on how to make them, then everyone could make their own and have them when they arrive at their hotels the night before or at the port..I know alot of us are at the Radisson the night before and will see strangers faces there or at breakfast the night before. I know on our last cruise we sat next to family at the Radisson for breakfast and then saw them 3 days later on the ship. We had no way to know we were cruising together.

This is something that could be done way ahead of time.. I believe Michael's carries the blank buttons and they only cost a dollar or so. I will be happy to create the button AND a matching door sign which can be printed on magnetic paper. Let me know if you want this or some other idea

Also, since Monday is a sea day should we schedule a get together for an hour or so maybe late morning? Saturday will be crazy with check-in, sailaway party and trick or treating and Sunday we are in Key West so I thought a fun meet and greet may be in order for Monday. If anyone wants to plan this I say go for it. We have such a large group and getting bigger ever day that we should do something so we can all meet and know faces

Ideas????

LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
233 DAYS!!!!

Susan - When is that suite tour??? :lmao: :lmao:

233 DAYS!!!!

Susan - When is that suite tour??? :lmao: :lmao:

Just a thought ... on my last cruise, we had lanyards made with our cruise name and date. It was easy to recognize everyone from our thread on the ship using those, and we had name tags in them with both our screen name and our real names. It wasn't something that we had to pin on or try to remember each day. I just wore it along with my Passporter where ever I went. I can find out where they got those and go from there if anyone is interested in that.

I don't want to take over or anything, but I know that pinning something on each day might be tough for some of us with little ones.

And, yeah, Susan ...... I'm just down the hall. I think you should call your neighbor down for a visit!! :)

I personally LOVE this idea!!!!!! I am a lanyard fan and would be interested in having these for our group for this cruise. If you can find out where the group got these, I know that I would appreciate it!!!!! By no means would you be taking over anything, just doing a part in all of our planning, which I am sure others will appreciate!!!!!!!!

Glad to see that you are my neighbor. Let me know when you want to come by and see what we have!!!! I am sure that we will have many visitors during the week. Just don't mind if we are eating our Palo dinner as you take the tour!!!!!!!!!!

I am all over the lanyard idea only one request.. I need a plastic pocket that zippers up and is securely attached.. Last cruise I lost my key to the world twice LOL.. DH says no more loose pockets without a seal LOL

Please do check into this...

I was worried about this too. We parked and did not have any problems. I made sure all the trash was out. I remember at the time I wished i had a little handy vac that could plug into the cig lighter to pick up crumbs. But did not have any problems so it all worked out.

I think that is a great idea!

To all of you who have sent me additions to our "shipmates" list and "fish extender exchange" list, THANK YOU!!!!! I have forwarded the information so that it can be updated on Renysmom website for our cruise group. Keep the information coming PLEASE!!!!!! Please PM me with anything that you want to be included. As soon as the website is updated, you can see how quickly our group is growing!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Ok. I will look into the lanyards. We'll need to get a count of how many folks want these, how many they want for their family members, and the names to be on each one.

We can look into zippered pouches, but remember - if you've been on a cruise before, you will get a Castaway Club lanyard when you check in, and it does have a zippered pouch.

We need to think, too, about what colors we will want them to be - I thought about orange with black letters since we're on the Halloween cruise - and how much we are willing to pay for them. There are several sources online and I can get quotes if I have some idea of how many we want. One place guarantees delivery in 28 days or less, so I'm thinking that we will need to have final numbers about 2 months before the cruise. That way, I can get the name tags done and in the holders, too. We'll also need to arrange a place/time to get them on the 31st. :)

Lots to think about, but we have plenty of time to get this together. I think it will be awesome and instantly recognizable. :) It was great to have them on the last cruise because you knew that someone was a DISer just by looking at them. :)

And Susan, I will definitely take you up on the visit to your suite. We would have gotten that one if SOMEONE didn't already have it. LOL! We are in one of the two Cat 2 suites. Last time, we had three Cat 3 suites ... I think we're moving up, so on our 3rd cruise, we should have a Cat 1! LOL!:confused3
