October 31, 2009

These Halloween parties look great and fun, especially when done in Disney style. It will be interesting to see if they plan anything for our cruise in 2009 since we actually leave on Halloween.

For this cruise, I would be happy to make a list of participants with each person's DIS name and Cabin #. If they'd like to share the names of the people in their cabin that would be great also. Also, if people would like to receive an age appropriate "gift," they can include the ages of the kids too

At this point, no suggestions will be made on what type of gifts to give. This way, each person can bring whatever they'd like.

I will be keeping everyone updated on how many DISers have contacted me by PM so people can start planning how many items they need to bring. Two weeks prior to sailing, the final list will be PM'd to everyone who's participating.

Then, each person can distribute their goodies whenever they'd like during the cruise. For example, with 30+ people participating, chances are pretty good that the gifts would arrive randomly throughout your cruise.

It's REALLY fun with lots of people participating! And, when you think about it, even if you had to bring 128 items to share, that just means you're going to receive 128 different items too!

PLEASE PM me if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I hope that we can get a good list going to participate in the fish extenders. I am sure that we would all enjoy extra "magic" on our cruise!!!

OK as you can tell by now I hope I am MR suzieqmomof4, and I can only figure out about half if the acronims used on this board. Please humor me when I ask the dumb questions like what is PM, I assume that the M is mail?:confused3

As for the port plans that CRSNDSNY asked I hope to do the diving trip with my DS in Grand Cayman GC(?) He is planing to get his dive certification in July 09, so I hope that he likes it.

Susan, I'll be PMing you...that sounds like an AWESOME idea!

preliminary excursion plans:
Key West we plan on doing a little site seeing early when we port. My husband was here december 06 for a wedding and there are a couple places he wants to take us.

As for the other two ports, we're planning on just having beach days for one of the two Mexican ports. For the opposing port I think we'll just stay onboard and enjoy a more vacant pool area if the weather is right.

600 days away!!!

Hi Queenie16

We will deffinitly be in on the fish thing a ma bob. I like the idea of local flavored gifts. It would be neat to see what kind of trinkets arrive from around the country or even beyond. My DW has told me what PM is so I will now try to figure out how to do it.

The big question now is buy vs make the fish thing a ma jig.

That sounds like a great idea, those fish extenders look great. Haven't decided on any excursions yet.

Hello. We just booked our 2nd Disney Cruise. This is very exciting for us. We are a family of four. My son will be 9 and my daughter will be 6 on the cruise. We did a 3 night cruise a couple years back. We are planning to have 4 families cruise all together but they still haven't officially booked yet. I would love to find out more about the Trick or Treat ideas I have read on the board. Please count us in on any meet and greats you have planned.
Thank you

I realize it is early but I keep looking back here and nothing is happening. Where is everybody???:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Well I just thought that I would try to wake this up.

HI!
I think once we reach the one year out that this thread will really start moving. Thanks for bumping it up, though!

Thanks for bumping this thread up also. I have been overwhelmed with making shirts and an autograph book for our upcoming WDW trip in two weeks. I still can't settle on some disings that I want to make into shirts : (. After this trip I should be able to concentrate a little more on the cruise. I know that I have some work to do in terms of planning as this will be our first DCL cruise.

And you'll have plenty of time for cruise preparation!!! ENJOY your upcoming WDW trip!!! :goodvibes

HI! I keep checking in and am very excited about the cruise. Right now I am tied down with my son's first communion. After May I will be ready to plan away! The whole family is excited! My daughter watches the cruise info dvd every day!

Well I am glad to see that other people are just as excited as me. My DW thinks I am nuts planing this far ahead, but she is busy planing her "princess" week in July and the Family Week with our MI freinds for Aug. She swars she is not going to WDW on '09 but I do not believe it. She can't make it 6 months without visiting. :firefight

Ok, so perhaps this question will help to get this thread a bit more active (seems like we have enough willing participants here!!!) --

Are you planning on dressing up in costume for Halloween or just leaving that to the kids?

Personally, I do not want to dress up but I have a feeling my husband is going to be insistent upon it.
