OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

It doesn't take terribly long to deliver. I think that DH and I will split kids and gifts and head out to deliver. Not to be a Nellie Nofun, but I will probably make it into a math game for our dd in kindergarten, teaching her about room numbers. We'll see how that goes.

I'm wondering how many of you decorate your doors. I'm planning on putting up a few magnets and a dry erase board. Do you laminate your pictures or do you just use magnetic copy paper or magnet tape? Just trying to figure out if I'm on the right track with what we're planning on.

Also, I saw the question of how long it should take to deliver the FE's. Does anyone have any good game plans to be effecient in delivering them? As much as I love the idea for FE's I really don't want it to take away from other play time if you know what I mean

It's getting very exciting as we are so much closer to the actual trip!!!

We are decorating our door with magnets (we are getting married on Castaway and I had magnets made for all our guests!) and my girlfriends daugther is VERY talented and does caricatures so she is doing one of me and my hubby to me to put on the door!! She charges 20 for two, 10 for single and is SO talented...she has worked over at Great Adventure by us (we live 10 mins from it! lol)

Staples had dry erase boards for a dollar if anyone is looking for them!

Vistaprint does the magnets for free, 25 I got! They even have the option of uploading your own photo/image!! Sounds like a great FE gift!

If anyone is interested in the caricatures I am sure she could work with you through email, she does it from a pic....if I get it soon I will post it on here for you all to see

For you door decorators, who or how do you go about laminating your designs or do you even bother with it? I have the license plates and some other designs that would look a lot nice if they were laminated, but I don't want to go crazy. As if that term can actully be used on a DIS board in any relative way

I want to dress up as tinker bell (I've got the blond hair blue eyes and shortness going) so I might do that.. Don't know if my family is going to dress up but I'm really excited..

My cabin would like to be part of the fe too. Cabin # 8060 2 boys Dylan age 10 and Kian age 7. Also in the cabin are myself Colleen the mom and Jo Anne the Grandma. This is our 1st Disney cruise. We are so excited to go.

Hi everyone! Our Disney vacation countdown calendar is up and looks great! I wish I knew how to post pics. We bought a bunch of scrap booking stickers and Olivia put a quote from every Disney movie in the square of each day. SO CUTE!

As for the FE, I am the most craft challenged girl I know. We decided to make them an interesting way. Hopefully they will come out cute but if not I give Liv an A+++ for all her effort in helping me. I also hope Logan airport security doesn't give me a hard time about my carry on filled with our FE gifts. Should be interesting .

I'm glad wedding plans are going well can't wait to see the bride on CC!! Everyone a bride.

I make magnets out of pictures I like. We got a card in the mail a couple months ago saying WELCOME ABOARD EASTERLY FAMILY which had Mickey and Goofy on the ship. I stuck craft magnets on the back and put it in the cruise folder.

I have some Mickey heads from the paint chip section of (is it?) Home Depot (?). I cut the Mickey out, attack some ribbon, put a sticker from the offers to join the Disney Movie Club on each and a piece of plastic craft magnet on them and viola! we have balloons for our door.

I have some printed on photo paper with craft magnets on the back. Some are printed the size to fit on an advertising CD with some of the silver showing and craft magnets on the back of that.

If you are going to do much laminating (cruises, crafts, room parent at school) there are some that are not expensive, $25 or so at Target. I went through two of those this summer preparing our stuff for homeschooling, so the third time we went with a commercial one from Sam's. Now I have a fabulous one, and it does a great job, too!

There are some 3M no heat laminating sheets that are also available at Target.

You do realize the I keep up dating the FE list... And will be until Oct 23rd if anyone asks to be put on or taken off.

PS. I will have paper copies of the Final list on our cabin door on Embarkation day as well as a version for folks to update with upgrades/moves/etc.
