Hello everyone! Welcome to the new folk coming along on this cruise! I haven't been on the disboard in quite a while and thought I would check in.

Has anyone started to think about Shore Excursions? Is anyone planning on just staying on the boat in Nassau?

I am so ready for this vacation. The excitement is building back up for us. I'm starting to work on my FE's now to avoid the stress of waiting till the last minute (as I am very famous for doing!)

still cold and rainy here. Suppose to be a nice weekend but I dont believe the weather man until it happens. He has been wrong all winter. I sure hope he is right this time.

It is hot and dry here! Near 100 temps, and our norms are 85! HOT!!! I'd love to send a little bit of it your way, maybe 10-15 degrees?

Our oldest DDs recital is this weekend. Rehearsal was last night and I'm optimistic that it will be quite nice. My mom is coming in from MO and my dad from OK to see it. I hope they feel it was worth the trip! No telling how many more of these kinds of things they will be able to travel for.

Hey everyone I hope you all had a great week! I am looking forward to the weekend in hopes of getting some deep cleaning done I cant wait to throw away junk that hasnt been touched in a while. And lay by the pool after work tomorrow since i have a half day on fridays grateful my neighors daughter is a lifeguard at the pool and is going to sneak me in lol...Weather tomarrow is suppose to be 94 here.

I havent started thinking about fishextenders yet but i may want to get on that i still need to order it and put my DH,DS(8) and my name on it guess im alittle behind. I feel like its around the corner and now that its summer time is going to fly by here.

Since we have never been to the Bahamas, we are planning on at least a short venture off the ship. I was thinking we would head over to Ardastra Gardens and see the flamingos and other birds. (I have heard it is cheaper and nicer to just grab a taxi than to book a real excursion here.) If we feel the need for some sand before we get to CC, we might check out one of the local beaches. We don't want to pay a whole bunch for one of the fancy excursions. We are doing TL at WDW when we get back, so we don't need to do the waterpark and my younger daughter isn't old enough for the dolphin or sea lion encounters, so...

I'd be interested to hear what others have done in the past and what they liked and hated.

Hello. We will probably skip shore excursions in Nassau. We have been there a few times...last August, we never got off the Wonder. We used it as a day to just enjoy the ship. That is exactly what we will be doing in October on the Dream! We just added a cruise in August, and we are heading to Nassau. Since we are there from noon-midnight, we will probably walk off the ship and head to Senor Frog's or something like that.

As for excursions,. DH and I did the Atlantis tour, including the aquarium for our honeymoon (we might take DD on this when we cruise on RCCL in Aug since she hasn't been ). It was a really nice tour, and we were able to see some of Atlantis. I have also done the Caribbean Queen snorkel excursion twice...great excursion is you enjoy snorkeling!

We are able to do our online checkin and book our shore excursions and Palo in less than a month now...I have July 2 starred on my calendar!

Hey there everyone!

I'll be on the cruise, my daughter is getting married on it, which is super. We have about twenty people coming and quite a few of them don't "get" the whole Disney thing and aren't excited like I am. So if you see a 51-year-old woman slamming down the Mickey bars in the diningroom every night, that will be me.

Also, could one of you lose ten pounds for me?

I could SAY I'll lose 10 pounds for you but I think you may be disappointed in the results And don't forget you can get Mickey Bars through room service (so you can try some yummy desserts in the dining room AND have your ice cream too!).

Since we're doing the B2B, it's two stops in Nassau - one I think we'll be staying on the ship for and the other one we'll take a taxi tour for a couple of hours (found an accessible taxi that has a wheelchair lift - Score!!!!)

We're hoping to stay close to the ship but still check things out. My crew is debating the Pirate Museum. Have read a lot of good things and it's supposedly an easy walk from the Dream. Thought we would go there and then check out the market for a bit then back to the ship for some afternoon exploring. Anyone been to the Pirate Museum? Wondering how easy is it to get to, is it interesting, and how long would it take.

I don't think we are getting off the ship this time. We have done Atlantis several times. The aquarium and resort is worth it for sure! The water slides look amazing and I have heard great things about them. We are going to wait until DD is older to do the water slides So we are planning on enjoying the ship this time.

Happy Saturday everyone...it is Saturday right? I ended up working until 430am last night/this morning at the Emporium at MK. It was resort extra magic hours, so the park was open until 2am, with store straightening until 430am. It was actually a really great night...got to hear and see glimpses of 2 Main Street Electrical Parades, heard Wishes, and go to talk with a lot of great guests! Back at MK tonight

It is HOT here. Our thermometer is hitting 100+ every day for the past few days and looks to keep the same into next week.

Today was recital day for us. It was cute and some of those preschoolers had me laughing so hard there were tears running down my face. Too precious!

We have a week on the beach in Texas coming up soon. Once we get that out of the way, I will be getting busy on FE and scrapbooking pages!!!

Hi everyone,
I just sent out a revised cruisemates list and FE list.

If I missed you some how please let me know.

After i sent it out 2 people wrote back they had cancelled the cruise.
So please remove Disney Cruisin (kimberly) and Carrie Glassnor. Sorry i dont have her cruising name.

We finally have a day without rain. If we are lucky we will hit 75 today.

Sorry i havn't been around much but I have been really busy lately.

Tomorrow one of my dogs has surgery to remove a tumor. Plus I have been researching to find my dad's side of the family. All his siblings and my dad passed away many years ago and everyone lost touch. Most of my cousins I didnt even know they existed so its been quite a project.

I have found cousins from every family accept one. Dad was one of 12 kids so it has taken me 6 months to find them. I have been making a family tree for everyone that I find.
Now I am busy planning a family reunion in July for everyone who can come.
Once I am through that I will have more time to post.
I do pop in and read to try and keep up a bit.

Yes, doing family tree is time comsuming, of course I never did one, but we did have a family re-union a few years ago, and one of our cousins did it and I have to say, it was great, but she worked really hard on it....

I'm on my new cruise board and its pretty slow...I'm trying to get them to do a gift exchange at the meet...will see how that goes.

We are getting off the ship and doing Senor frog with myelton(morgan and her family) and maybe going to the market for some shopping who knows as of yet but senor frogs for sure. i am really excited the trip is coming up but still need to save more money.


I see alot of you book multiple cruises a year how do u save or afford that i would looove to do that but i have issues saving. if only i can say no to always going out to eat or doing things with friends maybe i could save. But i hate always saying no so how do u all do it any tips?? I can get the cruise always paid off its all the extra spending money or do u not take alot of spending money down? just wondering

Boy I was wondering why I hadn't heard anything from my fellow cruisers lately and that's' because I somehow missed the memo that we started a new thread LOL!

It's been a busy month, here. Kids and I are trying to finish up our school year. Both DD(5) and DS(turned 8 on May 3rd) have very packed baseball schedules. I think they've played more games this year that the major league teams! Had our annual awards night with our homeschool group. DD "graduated" Kindergarten and DS had a special ceremony as he will be moving up in 4H this year. Oh!! and DH and I both lost 20lbs since April!!!

Even with all we've had going on, our family still can't stop talking and dreaming about this cruise!!!!

Anywho, I'm caught up on the last 14 pages of posts.
