Hi All,

I've been wrapping my FE gifts tonight and came across a question about who all is doing the FE exchange when it comes to those who have 2 rooms or more on the master list.

I know that ajaysmom825 (username) has 3 cabins listed, though that's because the other 2 rooms (8669 and 8671) don't have Disboard accounts--All three cabins ARE doing something for the FE gift exchange.

Could those who have 2 cabins clarify for me who all is participating in their group?

Thanks.

Also, I'm gifting to all the children listed plus a main cabin gift. It's been a blast to do!!!!

We have 2 cabins. There are 2 adults, 3 kids and 1 grandma in our party. We hang 2 fish extenders. 1 for grandma and our 2 girls. 1 for us and our son. Plus this helps my mom find the room. We give 2 gifts for each room because we have 2 cabins. For example, ajaysmom825, we will give 6 gifts because there are 3 cabins. That's just how I do it.

Awesome..Thanks!!!! This has been a joy to do!!

Yes, I woke up this morning with a huge smile, too. Almost here and truly excited. Yay!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Thanks for clarifying. It helps!!

We have 2 cabins. Dd is in a cabin with my mother and cousin. Each cabin will have an FE outside. Thanks!

I would never forget Olivia--she's been the most enthusiastic since you starting posting way back on the other thread!! LOL

--I know I left her name out of the 'children' list--but I truly didn't forget. That was an oversight from me. Oops!!

We are doing the single digit dance too!!! I had the whole family doing the dance before our oldest ran out the door to the bus. All 5 of us at the bottom of the stairs by the front door doing our best dance. It looks very similar to Evan Almighty's dance if you remember that movie. They were all giving dad a bunch a crap, but they loved every minute of it:) My wife thinks I'm nuts!

And how many days until the cruise???

10

Let the countdown begin!!!

10 things I can't wait for:
Aquaduck
Verandah
Golden Mickey's
CC snorkling
Animator's Palete
Movie
Pirate Museum Nassau
DOTD (this could be number 1:))
Cove Pool
Enjoying my family

Thanks for the updated list for children. We have a ton of kids in our group, this is going to be a blast. I count 13 kids that would be in the Edge together. My three are going to have so much fun.

Mickeygolf, I like that idea...

My top ten things I'm looking forward to (in no particular order):

Exploring the new ship!
Aquaduck
Experiencing the cruise with my first timers
the toughest decision being what to eat! :rotfl2:
the shows
relaxing
Castaway Cay
NOT working!! (this is probably #1)
Verandah
My family time

I can't wait!!! We leave in a week!!! :cool1:

Thanks Terry! You are correct about Miss Olivia. She has been counting down the days since we booked this trip! We are all excited (maybe not the babies, too young to get how much fun is coming our way) but she takes the excitement up a whole level. I really need to learn how to post a picture so you can see the cute countdown calendar.

I'm sure most of you have already done this, but I thought a friendly reminder might be good. Make sure to call your bank for any credit cards or debit cards you may be using on the cruise. Many banks have security systems in place that could shut down your card if you use it in another country or unfamiliar geographical location.

I'd hate to see any of our group find that special gift or souvenier in Nassau and find out your card was rejected. Every card I've called about let me know I was doing the right thing and had a story of someone who had forgot to do that on their trip.

If anyone has any other last minute details to share nows the time to do it. I can't wait for this vacation!!!

We have two cabins participating in the FE. We will have two hangers. It's getting so close. 8 days till we leave, we are spending 2 nights before and 2 nights after at Disney. Thanks for all the great updates on this thread since its our 1st Disney cruise. See everyone real soon!

Testing to see if I figured out how to post a picture. This is Halloween night on the Magic in 2006. The kids were so young! Sorry if it posted too big!

They are SO cute!!! Love the flip flops, too ---so cruise-like!! Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

My Top Ten for this cruise would be:

1. verandah
2. Castaway Cay
3. spending time with hubby
4. exploring the ship
5. eating exotic food (that I wouldn't try otherwise)
6. sharing the trip with 2 of my 4 adult children
7. enjoying my grandsons (3 boys-Austin, Drew, Adam)
8. relaxing while being spoiled and pampered
9. the shows, especially Golden Mickeys
10 free movies
11. being on a family themed Disney cruise ship and all the characters <--truly magical!!

I added an extra one cause 6/7 go hand-in-hand. LOL

PLus and most important....It's VACATION time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my tip - order lots of food off the menu incase you don't like something lol! I am so fussy that I tend to order 3 starters knowing full well the main will be a disaster. On the last cruise (14 night) by night 4 they had me sussed and stopped questioning whether they could get me something else instead as they realised I really was fussy.

1) 2 for 1 drinks:cheer2:
2) Castaway Cay
3) All the food the kids want...I cook only 1 meal each night. I don't run a restaurant in the kitchen.
4) Mornings on my verandah with coffee of course.
5) Aquaduck
6) Movies, shows, and fireworks
7) Fish Extenders
8) Relaxing and not having to do anything
9) H2O toiletries. I know I can buy them but it's different when I'm on the boat.
10) It's Disney's Boat. I can't wait for anything that's Disney.

I have gone a step further on all our cruises and love it and does make everyone (except our table) wonder what is going on with us.

We consider each dinner as one big food tasting. I basically order everything on the menu that looks appealing (I tend to avoid the salads, eat them at home). Then I just nibble on each plate tasting everything (gobbling down what I truly like). I do the same for the dessert menu. It is fun trying to get all those plates on one table.. Gathers lots of looks and smiles... :lmao:

We do the same at Palo's and Remy's.. Best way to eat on the ship, and you don't miss out on the good stuff.

One just has to remember, all the dishes are pretty much already made and prepped so you are not really wasting any food (it was already made). And by tasting, I am not much eating more than I usually do, but I am enjoying a whole lot more variety during the dinner. :thumbsup2

thanks for reminding me! I normally don't bother because i've never had a disney charge declined but with taking the drive over so many days this time, we're staying at a number of Holiday Inn Expresses on the way down and then on the way home afterwards. I called Mastercard to let them know since ALL of those rooms are reserved with the same card. I really don't want it declined!

And bonus, they let me know that I had been preapproved for a credit limit increase. I guess it's a good day :woohoo:

My tip is:

Order room service!

It's so nice to be able to just pick up the phone and have a mickey bar or coffee and cookies or a pizza delivered to you for only the cost of a tip!

At night, loved ordering "cake of the day" and eating it in bed while watching a movie :3dglasses. The ultimate in luxury.

Oh, one more:

Pools are usually empty in the morning and later at night. If it's warm out, grab your suit and take a dip when there's hardly anyone around. It's almost like having a private pool :fish:
