OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

I will be on a plane this time next Sat to Disney :cheer2:

We have our rehearsal dinner at Ohana and then fireworks on the Polynesian beach for the evening before retiring to Pop for the evening...I then have a private shuttle company taking us all (7 people) to meet the rest of our party at the Dream Sun morning...while on the way we are stopping at the liquor store....:rotfl:

So Excited over here I cannot wait....makes me not want to clean the house today as on schedule to do so...lol

Poly beach is my favorite place to be to watch the fireworks. We usually go early to catch the water parade too.

Ditto for us right now! We'd be over NC, at 34k feet, going 436 mph (ground speed)- per Flight Tracker.

I found our flight, and its gates/baggage claim assignments today. Suspect we'll be about the same setup.

The Master Planning file has been printed. Packing in earnest tomorrow. DW packs and checks clothes, while I handle documents, etc.

OK... need last minute tips on tips! This is our first cruise and we're not sure what is the best, easiest, most convenient way to make sure everyone gets tipped correctly.

any help is greatly appreciated. TY

Nope the treats in the Cove Cafe are included in your crusie fare - no extra charges for them.

Last time, they had a bunch of great goodies - my mom and I went and got lattes and I grabbed this plate of stuff for us to share:

Well Crap!! there goes my diet already.

I can't remember the exact break down per server/room steward, but the amount comes to approximately $12/per person in the stateroom. I know I prepaid our tips for the 5 in our stateroom at $240. We will add any additional gratuity we feel is deserved at the end of the cruise.

I know the DCL website gives the breakdowns much better and more specific.'

Good luck!!!

Good luck with all your plans PricessTinker. I can't imagine how excited you much be going on the cruise AND getting married. We can hardly contain ourselves just waiting for the cruise. Hoping you get to make it to the meet on Sunday evening. If not, congratulations on your wedding. You need to make sure to hit a liquor store on Saturday some time because you can't buy liquor in Florida on Sundays. Hope everyone else remembers that too!!!

By this time next week we should be all checked into the 4 Points Sheraton in Cocoa Beach and coming back from a visit to the ocean. We'll head out after that to get some dinner and maybe take a dry run up to the port just to check it out. We're really getting close now:)

OMG I didn't realize we could not get liquor on Sunday, you would think the shuttle guy would have told me that :(

I am going to have to see if Disney can get my fiance and dad a taxi, they can just get the liquor then...I am going to push up my shuttle by an hour then as well...thanks for the heads up! We are SO excited and yes are going to try to make the disboard meet up!

Hi All,

I've been wrapping my FE gifts tonight and came across a question about who all is doing the FE exchange when it comes to those who have 2 rooms or more on the master list.

I know that ajaysmom825 (username) has 3 cabins listed, though that's because the other 2 rooms (8669 and 8671) don't have Disboard accounts--All three cabins ARE doing something for the FE gift exchange.

Could those who have 2 cabins clarify for me who all is participating in their group?

Thanks.

Also, I'm gifting to all the children listed plus a main cabin gift. It's been a blast to do!!!!

We have a cabin and my daughter and her BF have a cabin - both are participating in the FE :)

But we will be on the Disney Dream for our daughters Make a Wish trip from Oct 30- Nov 3.
We will be traveling with myself, my active duty military husband, Jim, our 14 yr old son Austin, 11 yr old son Liam, 10 yr old wish kid Lily and 7 yr old Bella.
So excited I found this page!!!

Just spent the last hour finding out what "FE" - fish extenders are.
Is it too late to be included on this for the upcoming trip??
I know it would mean a lot to Lily to find little prizes each day of her Wish trip.
And if no one minds, we'd love to attend the meet/greet at 10pm by the pool on the 30th.

Welcome aboard to your family! I will be happy to add you to our FE list to help make your cruise even more special. Don't worry if you don't have an FE to actually hang outside your stateroom...a bag works just fine. I'm hoping your family has an incredible trip and you create lifetime memories. Hoping extra and lots of pixie dust comes your way!

Hi there. I live in Florida, and you can get liquor on Sundays. The liquor laws vary by county. Mine doesn't allow sales until after 12pm, but 10 miles up the road, I can buy anytime. What time are you heading to the port? If it is for arrival after 12pm, you can stop at any grocery or drug stores...they sell beer and wine.

Upon a quick search, most ABC liquor stores near the port open at 1pm on Sunday, however, the Merritt Island location (424 E.MERRITT ISLAND CSWY MERRITT ISLAND 321-453-3630) opens at 9am. I have been to this one, and there is a good selection of beverages! There is also an ABC Liquor store near DTD on Apopka Vineland Rd. They open at 10am. (11951 S APOPKA-VINELAND RD ORLANDO 407-239-0775)

http://www.abcfws.com/ABCStores/ABCStoreLocator/tabid/261/Default.aspx This is for the ones closer to the port.

http://www.abcfws.com/ABCStores/ABCStoreLocator/tabid/261/Default.aspx Here is the link for the ones closest to WDW (zip code 32830)

I'm sure if you call the shuttle company, they are very used to driving to liquor stores on their way to the port. They can probably even find a closer one.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

DCL will actually deliver the suggested gratuity form to your stateroom. You can then fill out, drop at guest services, and then you will receive tip cards and envelopes to give to the crew. We ALWAYS tip at least the recommended amount, and then we add cash in the envelopes to recognize above and beyond service!

1st cruise, how exciting!

Thanks for updating and correcting BealsRwe. It sounds like we do have an alternative to get liquor at one place prior noon on Sunday. I based my information off of threads in the Disney Cruise forum. I'm still planning on getting it on Saturday so we don't have to rush around prior to boarding the Dream on Sunday, but that's great information!!!

Thanks for the congrats :)

I was hoping to pick up Vodka/Rum for making cranberry and vodka and rum and coke...that was really it...I will call the shuttle company tomorrow and see if they know about a liquor store on the way that will be able to sell that!
