OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

I officially have some stuff packed! Yay! I have time to do more, but we are still needing stuff this weekend (Halloween costumes, etc.) I am getting there though. I can't believe we are getting on a plane 1 week from tomorrow. I am already doing my imitation of that WDW commercial: "I'm too excited to sleep!" I was up until 5 am today :scared1:

My Tip:
Bring a refillable hot/cold cup/mug, the cups for drinks on deck are small and you need a refill before you get two feet away, this isn't a complaint by far, the cost of bigger cups is far more than little ones. I use a Big Gulp cup from 7-11, they have sturdy plastic lids and you can pack in your carry on. I will be bringing a sturdy hot cup for Hot Chocolate, it will be chilly at night.

Agree here.. I always bring my Starbuck's Venti refillable for my morning coffee (or throughout the day during the Alaskan cruise).

I also bring another container for the soda. For awhile I used a 52oz insulated (pick you store) mug, but it got too heavy to carry around. Now I use a Castaway Cay bottle I picked up a couple of years ago on (guess where?).. And to keep from having it in my hands all the time, I use the free Castaway Cay Luggage strap we get on the ship and sling the bottle over my shoulder. At 24oz it is enough to keep me hydrated and only need to stop by the drink station 2-4 times a day... (I drink a lot, typically unsweetened iced tea).

I just got some kind of cold or infection so I guess its good that it didn't come next week!
Hope you are feeling better!

We are in Jambo, got a 40% off PIN so this is the first time we've been on property at a Deluxe (always wanted to stay at AKL, yeah!!), but still 2 nights is pricey compared to our RCI exchange. I chose MNSSHP prior to cruise because everyone on the boards said it is better than the MVMCP. We were going to do both but I changed my mind after Legoland was announced, my boys are gonna go crazy over that place! We are doing nothing but sitting by the AKL pool on Sat! :yay:
We stay at AKL before out last cruise ~ it was an amazing way to start the vacation! You will love the MNSSHP ~ it's our favourite Disney event. We think it's much better than the Christmas Party.

Our gamble on the GTY and trying for an upgrade paid off!
That's great! A few people in our group who booked GTY also got uppgraded...seemed like most got upgrade three categories!

Just got an email from DCL. OUr movie list is:
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2D & 3D)
Cars 2 (2D & 3D)
Winnie the Pooh
The Help
Fright Night (2D & 3D)
Real Steel - Prem-EAR 10/7
Thanks for posting! We alway try to watch on movie. I was really hoping for a Prem-EAR while we were onboard - on both cruises we done in the past we had Prem-EAR's they are so much fun!

also u can order gingerale at dinner for no cost thats what i did on our last cruise if i dont i get sick
I will be taking Gingerale with us too. My daugther drinks it every morning while onboard. She got really sick on our first cruise...but a CM got me a supply og gingerale and it help settle her down.

Heads up, I found a deal on the disboards from Pepsi for a BOGO, just buy an adult ticket and get kids free (you have to buy each pair seperately, but the code works multiple times) so I got both of my kids tickets free! Great deal! Can't remember the code, but search for legoland deals/disocunts/free and you should find it.
That's a great find! Thanks for sharing!

Haven't started to pack but think I might tonite. Have to do wash first. Was thinking about a new suitcase. Love the Heys Disney line but was afraid of the hard side suitcase with no outside pockets because I'm so used to having the pockets for magazines and electronic adapters and such. So I'm waiting on it for now. I think my current disney luggage will make it through at least one more trip :thumbsup2

For those staying at this motel the night before the cruise, has anyone suggested a casual meet/greet time?

Most of our party will be arriving mid-to-late afternoon (between 3 and 5) as we drive in from Macon, GA (our stop on the way down). Some will be flying in later that evening.

Question, since it is morning right now it got me thinking.

I know they charge you for the coffee in cove cafe but do they charge you for the treats too?

I will be on a plane this time next Sat to Disney :cheer2:

We have our rehearsal dinner at Ohana and then fireworks on the Polynesian beach for the evening before retiring to Pop for the evening...I then have a private shuttle company taking us all (7 people) to meet the rest of our party at the Dream Sun morning...while on the way we are stopping at the liquor store....:rotfl:

So Excited over here I cannot wait....makes me not want to clean the house today as on schedule to do so...lol

Nope the treats in the Cove Cafe are included in your crusie fare - no extra charges for them.

Last time, they had a bunch of great goodies - my mom and I went and got lattes and I grabbed this plate of stuff for us to share:
