OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

Hi Everyone!

I'm just about finished with my FE for all cabins...I hope you LOVE them! hehe
Can't wait to meet everyone.

**** We have reservations at Country Inn & Suites on Saturday night (Oct 29th) before the cruise Sunday. We have one extra room that I'm going to cancel, if anyone would like to snatch this one up. It's for 2 queen beds, non smoking. The price quote on our reservation is $125 plus taxes. Don't know what the price would be now, though I think if anyone gets a higher quote and would like to take this reservation (just change the name), you could let me know about that and I could call the hotel and see if I could do that. Just saying...
This motel includes a complimentary breakfast, free shuttle to port, and parking for your vehicle on premises (for a very small fee) while we're on our cruise.

For those doing the scrapbooking exchange, please let me know what your status is on your projects, if any. I haven't yet started either, BUT I do have all the material (sticker, paper, embellishments) to work on it. Are we still at 4 people? If you aren't doing it any longer, please let me know that, too.

This past week, I've worked on getting our magnets for our door finished. Today, I'm bringing out the suitcases to pack those things I know I won't need until cruise time. Packing one suitcase for our FE gifts alone. Good thing we're driving down. LOL

See you all soon.

Scrapbook exchange? Please tell me! I'm a newbie scrapbooker (about a year now). I might be interested in the exchange!

Below are the details I listed way back on page 5 of this thread. LOL Enjoy.

Hello Everyone,

I must absolutely apologize for my being remiss on the scrapbooking exchange information. Below is a link to the post when I laid out the what-for and how-to's of the scrapbooking exchange. The post is about the second one down on that page.

Hi everyone. 25 days and counting! I will probably print the FE list sometime this weekend and package up all the goodies. I have ordered some additional magnets and goodies for our door...love vistaprint and artscow for free items! For those looking for an inexpensive FE for your door...vistaprint has free tote bags...you could hang one off the fish :-)

DH (Peter) and I had a great race at the Disney Wine & Dine half marathon on Saturday night. We both got our personal best. Now I am on my training plan already for Disney Princess in February. DH is going to run that one with me...normally he's a few miles ahead of me. It is an early 40th birthday gift...this will be my 1st race in my next decade.

24 days and we will be driving to Cape Canveral for our pre-night stay at CI&S. I think we will try to go early and enjoy a few hours at Kennedy Space Center.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Stephanie

Great job Stephanie! I just completed my first half @ the Wine and Dine. My DD ran it with me - she rocked it - finishing in like 2:20. I was slightly behind her (ah em, read way behind her). We are going to relay the Marathon in January!

Where do I find the countdown badges many of you have as part of your signatures? Also the tape measure ones?

Thanks!

Dagny,

Here is the link once again. It worked when I tried it just now. Let me know.

If you click on the person's countdown that you like, it will take you to the website it was created from so you can create your own.

My travel agent called Disney as was told that the dinners would be:
Night 1 cruise casual
Night 2 Halloween costume or cruise casual
Night 3 Pirate
Night 4 dress up

Hmm well we wont be dressing up as I don't plan on packing after dinner in a rush so we'll probably end up at the buffet maybe that night.

I don't think there is a buffet. It is table service at night. We won't be dressing up too much either. We will be doing cruise casual, though we LOVE doing formal night on the longer cruises. With stuff for Halloween and a large FE group, packing is at a premium this time.

I wouldn't get too caught up in the dress up of the last night. From everything I've been reading (and I'm sure those who have cruised before can chime in) the dress up on the Dream is still pretty much business casual. I'm sure there will be those who will go all out, but I would venture to guess there will be many in shorts and nice polos for that night. I would hate to see you miss a dining room experience because you were concerned about what to wear.

I have a question for all the past FE participants. We are planning on taking our FE gift bags and FE in our carry-on luggage. Is there anything we need to be concerned with from a TSA perspective? Would the rod the FE hangs on cause any problems and what about any candy, pencils, or trinkets in the gift bags? I'd just hate to go to all the trouble of putting this together to find out it never leaves my home airport:)

Thanks for any feedback!!!

Thats what I meant - the non-buffet buffet lol

As long as none of your trickets are "weapon oriented" (like mini pirate swords or look like ninja stars) or don't have a lot of batteries (like if you're giving each person a mini flashlight with batteries - carrying that many batteries may be an issue) or are scissors or other cutting implement, you should be fine.

Is your rod wood or metal? If it's metal and thicker than a pencil, cover the ends with something (like a small ball or beads) so it doesn't just look like a metal stick (a "by the books" TSA agent might think that it would be considered a weapon).

Thanks. Think we'll probably scope it out when we get there but I'm not taking formal clothes so don't mind either way. Last year we skipped one formal night on the 14 night TA to go to Beach Blanket and it was one of the nicest meals we had all cruise (and in fact the only meal where I ate everything!

That worked just fine this time for me - thank you!

I will formally choose Pirate Night.... I might be able to also do Character Sightings as as well.

I will also bring some random "cruise" items just for fun!

I am so looking forward to this cruise!

Very nice FE!

Congrats on the PR in the half-marathon!

Anybody thinking of doing the CC 5k?

We're also wondering about dress up night vs. Halloween. We'll probably dress up, to get better use out of the nice clothes we're bringing. Plan is to use them again later in the week at V&A's.

Must go feed the dog now...

where would I find info on this 5k? I'm notin 5k shapebutwouldloveto say I did it.
