October 2nd Mexican Riviera Cruise

The cut off for the vote for the t shirt design has arrived and we have a tie between the Mickey's Mexican Mouseketeers design and the DCL Basic t shirt design. Unfortunately I am not able to post a second poll. Could you therefore please just post on here which of those two designs you prefer? I will tally to votes in the morning my time on August 19th and will post the official winner before I go for my weekend away.

our staterooms have been assigned, but I'm hoping they change. I really need connecting staterooms (family of 5 with 3 kids- 1 special needs), but currently have staterooms next door to each other. Hoping for a change......(and my waitlist for the night of 10/1 in a 1br at VGC!)!!! ohhhh tink........a little help please!

So currently we are in 5122 and 5124.

I would contact DCL ASAP and explain your situation. Because one of your kids has special needs, they may be able to do something. I know they normally don't change staterooms around once they made assignments to those in GTY status.

I finally got around to make my reservations for Disneyland today. I was really surprised that I got exactly what I wanted when I wanted it. I expected Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to be busy on the days that Mickey's Halloween Party is on, but I managed to get a 2 PM reservation. I don't think this would have happened at Disney World. The only slight compromise that I had to make was for the timing of the dinner on the day we have our vow renewal I wanted 6:30 and they had either 6:20 or 6:40 so I went with 6:20.

The last supplies for my Fish Extender gifts have arrived and I have already made them. So over the next couple of days, I will finish off the gift bags.

We were thinking about doing the Disneyland hotel the night before the cruise so we could meet up with everyone but my daughter has to take the SAT that day. We could probably still make it there at a decent hour but are still undecided. hmmm decisions decisions!

Goodness, exams on a Saturday. This would cause a huge outcry over here. Poor thing. At least she can then relax on the cruise.

I don't think you are being a pest. You are just making sure that your family gets what they need to enjoy the vacation. By the way, I am not sure if you are aware of this. I was playing mother hen last night and checked out the rooms on a very handy chart in the 2010 edition of the Passporter to the Disney Cruise Line. Both rooms only sleep 3. It is such a shame that this chart is no longer in the 2011 edition, but I suppose with the layout of the Dream and Fantasy being so different, it would just take up to much space and make to much work.

REALLY?????? OH NO!!!!! I'm going to call and find out what's going on. Thanks for the heads up. I'm afraid now that we are at the 45 day mark and the gty's are now assigned I am going to have an even bigger issue with moving our cabins. UGH!

We have had our Royal Show Day yesterday and I found I was trying to catch up on paperwork. Jumped on board to check out the lastest in the world of my cruising companions... i am glad to hear you got your room...although I am sorry to hear that you didn't get your joining room Cathicool.. I'd continue to ring and see what they can do.

I am almost finished the FE gifts whoo hoo.

Corrina I am glad to hear that the police were able to chase the looters out of your apartments. I'm so happy that you and Graham are safe.

My saga continues......apparently there are no cabins to move us to at the moment. I've been told that they are aware of the issue and will move us the moment it is possible. I'm beginning to think I may have to get to the port early to try for a midship cat T (3). Hubby's not happy--i told him I think it's going to cost like $1500 to upgrade Guess I don't have to worry about packing that airbed that I just bought.
Also, still missing the night of 10/1-10/2 at VGC. And still no fantasmic times listed for any of the days we will be spending at disneyland, pre-cruise. I have to admit, this has been a very stressful planning. Usually, I enjoy the planning as much as the vacation itself. This time..............not so much!
I ay have to do the martini AND the beer tasting on this cruise!

I am so sorry that this still is not resolved. At least they are trying to sort something out. I assume they are flat out with doing room assignments at the moment. Maybe once this is done and they know where everybody has ended up and what is still available, they can then look about spreading some pixie dust.

As for the tastings, I can really recommend the Mojito tasting. They did that as a private tasting for our DIS group on the Westbound Transatlantic last year after a lot of begging and pleading from us and it was such a great success that they are now offering this on every cruise.

I am sorry things are not going well

In regards to Fantasmic, sometimes once Summer is done here the shows become very sporadic in showing if at all so it may be that they are not going to show during that time. I hope they announce the schedule soon for you.
