Now that I am pretty much on top of the cruise, I have spent some time planning the rest of the vacation. It will be a lot of fun, but I think we need another vacation afterwards to recover.
We arrive on September 26th and will go straight to the hotel, check in and probably fall straight into bed.
On September 27th, I will try to get an early reservation for the character breakfast at Story Teller Café. I will then sort out my assorted tickets (annual pass and tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party) and then probably spend 3 or 4 hours at
Disneyland. We will probably have a late lunch/ early dinner at Anaheim Garden Walk before heading to the Angels stadium to watch a baseball match.
On September 28th, we are probably going to take the train to San Diego for the day. Graham wants to do a kayaking tour or the trolley tour and I will head to Seaworld for the day. They now have my favourite show, Blue Horizons, at Seaworld San Diego and I am also quite curious about the new killer whale show, One Ocean.
On September 29th, I will probably spend all day at Californian Adventure. DH will do his own thing as he is not really into the whole Disney thing.
On September 30th, I will head back to Californian Adventure in the morning for a couple of hours. I will grab a quick bite to eat somewhere either in the park or at the hotel, before the person doing my hair and make up will arrive. I will go to Mickey's Halloween Party that night and we will do the " Trash The Dress" shots there. We have decided to go with a Ghost Bride theme. Once the photos have been taken, I will then enjoy the parade, photo opportunities, trick and treating and fireworks.
On October 1st, I am tentatively planning that we hire a car. We are heading for a nature refuge that we both love that is operated by the university in Fullerton. On the way back, we will probably stop at Crystal Cathedral to have a walk around the campus and to check on potential spots for taking photos after the vow renewal. We will probably get back mid afternoon and may have a wander around Down Town Disney before having an early dinner at Goofy's Kitchen followed by a drink or two at Trader Sam's during the pre-cruise meet.
On October 2nd, our photographer is coming over to the hotel at 9:00 to meet us and to go over the vow renewal with us. Depending on how long this takes and when our cruise transfer leaves, I might head over to Californian Adventure for a couple of quick rides before heading to the port for our cruise.
On October 9th, we will head straight from the ship to Crystal Cathedral as this is the day our vow renewal will take place. I am probably going to disembark in my wedding dress to save time. This will be quite a hectic day as I will somehow have to get my hair and make up done in between. The ceremony is at 1 PM and then we will do photos for 90 minutes. Afterwards we will head to the hotel and check in. Two dear friends of ours will attend the ceremony and we will spend some time visiting with them before going for dinner at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. Once dinner is over, I am sure that I am ready for my bed, especially as I doubt that I will sleep much the night before.
On October 10th, I am hoping to head for Disneyland for the day and I hope even more that I can convince Graham to come with me. He does like Disneyland in small doses. We will then probably head for Anaheim Garden Walk for some dinner.
On October 11th, I will probably have a lazy morning by the pool and then go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a make over in the early afternoon. I will then attend my second Mickey's Halloween Party. This time round I will concentrate on the rides and again, I am hoping that I can convince Graham to come with me.
October 12th, I will spend at least part of the day at Californian Adventure and I am hoping to catch World of Colour that evening.
October 13th, unfortunately our vacation has come to an end and we have to head back to the airport to head home.
One or two days will probably be swapped around between now and then, but this is the general plan. The next milestone will be August 12th when I can make all the reservations.
