Hope everyone has a great day! Found this for all us mothers...I'm sure at some point or another, we've all thought this

You say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job", but you know you wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...

Hugs,

Just stopping in to say "hi" again. I can't wait for October to get here.

Sue Ellen

Good morning everyone, it is a fine tuesday out here, 70 degrees yesterday, i believe the same today....i think i feel the sniffles coming on.

Mothers day/neices birthday was fun, got a few pictures, not too many cause i had to make the chinese run. My mom didn't want to fight the crowds so we just had chinese. My dad and I sat out in the front yard just enjoying the nice weather. Well just a quick checkin....happy late mothers day to all the mothers.

p-dawg out

Advice for the day (or joke as the case my be):

"Never buy a one-of-a-kind item at a 2 for 1 sale" :rotfl2:

DD goes to science camp tomorrow....sure hope the sun comes out for her :sunny:

Nice day to all....

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

Looks like it's just you and me again RJ.

2 more days untill my weekend .

Cheri: How did Cassie do with the Dolphin Swim?
My Cassie would love to do that, I think, but I'm afraid she'd freak as soon as it came time to get in the water.

Hey Ladies,
Mind if a gentleman joins your little twosome?

Since Cheri hasn't answered your earlier question about the dolphins, I will. Cassie loved it, and she did great!! We were also a little concerned that she would freak out being so close to something that big and that it might be a wast of $150, but she had no problem at all. Also, unlike the dolphin encounter that Cheri and I did in Hawaii a few years back (which lasted 10 or 15 minutes), the program at Sea World had them in the water with the dolphins for 40+ minutes, so it was well worth the money. Cheri actually went in with her while I stood by and took 29,000 pictures.

Hope y'all are having a good week. RonnieJo, did the rain go away there yet? It's been gorgeous here the last week or so.

Chris

I'll add to Chris's comment about the dolphins: yeah, Cassie did love it. I'm surprised she didn't ask to take one home. After that first hug and kiss, that's all she wanted to do - well, that and issue continuous commands :rotfl2: (and NO , that is NOT like her mother. Yeah, I can hear your wheels turning Beano, Chris .... :p )So, now she's 7, or 17 (or 37, I'm not quite sure. It depends on the day.) What do we do next year? Have her ride Shamu?

Ladies: a word of advice, unless you are quite overconfident with your looks, never put on a wet suit and parade in front of 50 people in a public place. ( :scared1: )

Get on the DCL web site and make your "wish list" of excursions, so on July 15th you can log on (if the system doesn't crash) and book those spa/Palo/excursion ressies. Me? I think I'm only inking the tram ride to the top for Bushwackers and the ride back for some bling-bling with my compadre Ronnie Jo.

Cheers!

Cheri - The tram ride to Paradise Point isn't a Disney excursion, so no need to book nuthin'. :)

I just hope they have enough beer up there. :confused3

Here's some thoughts for all of us who have kids:

1.) A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house,
4 inches deep.
2.) If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller
blades, they can ignite.
3.) A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded
restaurant.
4.) If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong
enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman
cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint
on all four walls of a 20 x 20 ft. room.
5.) You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When
using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times
before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.
6.) The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit
by a ceiling fan.
7.) When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh" it's already too
late.
8.) Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.
9.) A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a
36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.
10.) Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4-year old
boy.
11.) Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.
12.) Super glue is forever.
13.) No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't
walk on water.
14.) Pool filters do not like Jell-O.
15.) VCRs do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show
they do.
16.) Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.
17.) Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.
18.) You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.
19.) Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not
like ovens.
20.) The fire department in Austin, Texas has a 5-minute response time.
21.) The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.
22.) It will, however, make cats dizzy.
23.) Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.
24.) 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid.

Chris & Cheri...glad to finally hear from you both!
I'm glad Cassie had a good time with the dolphins....we did the dolphin encounter at Discovery Cove in Orlando a few years back (gotta love the wet suit, but at least in holds the fat in :rotfl2: )

Bushwackers at Paradise Point and some BLING on the side...what a day that'll be!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

So how many DISers are on this sailing?

I know I cruised with quite a group of DISers on the Halloween cruise in 2002. Our October 2003 sailing was with the Cruisetoberfest crowd.

My little ones were 1 and 11 on the last Halloween cruise, now they will be 14 and 4 when we sail for this Halloween. We had a great time having the kids trick or treat on the ship. I think it was Ginger that organized a DIS trick or treat.

Well, I'm out of here tonight--
I can't wait for October to get here!!

Sue Ellen

Well its payday, woo hoo...too bad this check is spent. Between my truck payment and the bachelor party this weekend, my check is gone....its like david copperfield stuff right there.

Ok, i am depressed now.....i was looking into housing, i can't even get a condo for under 180k out here....that is just crazy, a townhouse goes for about 300k+ and a single family house for about 500+.... I want to know what kinda drugs people are selling out here to buy a home. And what is driving these prices up?? Ok, just a little bitter that as much as i make i can't buy a home without 2000 dollar payments. Might be cheaper to just rent a room on the cruise ship for the rest of my life...haha.

Tonight we are celebrating my friend robins birthday....mmm, beer...what gets you drunker quicker...haha

Hey beano, did you see the south park episode about paris hilton....it was on last night, cracked me up.

Just wanted a real quick check-in to say hello everyone, i still live.

p-dawgy

Hope everyone is having a good week. It's almost Friday!!

P-dawg, I sympathize with your housing thing, though maybe it will cheer you up to know that it's far worse out here in San Diego. While they may need to sell drugs where you are to afford a house, here you need to be an official running an oil-for-food program in order to do so!!! Apparently such people make far more money than drug dealers!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Chris

Real estate prices are out of whack everywhere, if you ask me. Little 'fixer-uppers' you used to be able to buy around here as rentals for $85-90 thousand are now going for over $200K! You can't get a decent family home for under $550-600K. Great googly-moogly, that is a lot of cheese!

SueEllen - Glad to see we'll have an official DIS moderator on our cruise! :) Consider yourself invited to our DIS party, if you'd care to make an appearance. It takes place in the Walt Disney Suite, day and time to be announced later. Stay tuned! :teeth:

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose. :sad2:

'Beano'

:Pinkbounc HAPPY FRIDAY TO ALL :Pinkbounc

So what big plans does everyone have for this weekend?? Do Tell... :goodvibes

It's supposed to be around 90 degrees here this weekend, guess it's time for Beano and I to work on getting the backyard in order for summer :sunny:

Hope everyone has a great weekend...enjoy!

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar
