 Hi Everyone...

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday!

Does anyone think we should start a kids fourm so the girls can start talking?

:cool1: Hi All..

Hope everyone had a nice Easter...

Well for my kids , it's back to school today. Now I gotta get em' back into the routine of getting up early and gettin' off to school on time :rotfl2:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

 Luckey...

Lotta peeps = lotta tips

:Pinkbounc Heres hoping you get some big tippers :Pinkbounc

Happy day to everyone :sunny:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

Sorry for the long hiatus. I would have to say that you peeps sure do have a lot to say! Ha ha ha.....

On the Irish Car Bomb thing. Even if you don't like Guiness you should try it. I don't like Guiness at all. The Baileys and Jameson changes the flavor and consistency of the Guiness and it tastes really good. If you do 2 of them in 10 minutes, you too can be drunk with me!

I love the magnets. They are great! How much do you charge for them? I would love to have one for my van. A custom one that just says something generic. I would get a cruise specific one too but it would be cool to add to my bumper magnet collection that I have already. Just let me know.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.

:wave2: Hey all - just checking in!

I hope everyone had a great Easter. RonnieJo-I handled your chocolate request. And then some. I hate all of that Easter candy!! Well, actually I really like it.. thats the problem. We stayed dry in Fresno but rained on on the way home. Today the clouds cannot decide - to rain or not to rain that is the question. :umbrella:

Welcome to Michelle, Trent and everyone else I may have missed. I am glad more people are checking in to this board to say hi. :Pinkbounc

For what its worth - regarding hairbraiding - my best friend cruised in early
January and her DD12 and cousins 8 & 11 got their hair done onboard. They did a "headband" which is braiding the bangs back and then the beads line up and over the head from ear to ear - if you can get the visual on that. It cost the girls about $25 and took about 1.5 hours. DD12 said it hurts when they pull but they loved the look. They stayed in until Superbowl Sunday.

Luckey - DD5 would love to hear from some of the other girls. :grouphug: I think that would be fun for them.

OK- got 3 magazines in the mail today with bathing suits on the cover!! I gotta get on that treadmill!

Hi All : Just a quick hello, we have a 7:30am ice time tommorrow so I have to force myself to go to sleep. Hope everyone is having a great week so far....

I'm going to start a thread for the kids, I think it will be good practice for Cassie's writing skills. (Some times I'm such a mother !)

:wave2: :grouphug:

Hey, everyone - guess what's in the forecast for us for the next week??

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: ! ! !

Amazing ain't it? I think spring might actually be here! I am taking tomorrow off as sort of a "pseudo-holiday", if the farm laborers will forgive me. It's 'Cesar Chavez' day here, which means that the agencies I deal with are closed; such as the Health Department, coroner's office, cemeteries, etc. So I'll have my peeps open up from 8AM to Noon, and I am taking the day off to take RonnieJo to lunch, and then go goof off! Hey, I gotta work this weekend so I might as well take it when I can! :Pinkbounc

Luckey - I hope the thread for the kids takes off. I am going to tell DS and DD about it so they can participate as things get going.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

NOW IT CAN BE TOLD:

Chris turned ... well, he got older today 25? :rotfl2: 30? :rotfl: :rotfl: 35? :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: 40? :confused3 I'll never tell ..... I might have to pay for my own part of the cruise. :earseek:

Sign us up for a magnet, please AND 2 spaces on the kids DIS thread!

Tim: I'll take your advice and try the Irish car bomb - right after you do.

It was 77 here today in San Diego!! That means spring is here and brings us one season closer to cruisin'! :cool1: Now if I can only keep from killin' those kids for another week ... who in the world authorized TWO weeks of Spring Break? These kids need to be in school learning pirate: and studying pirate: and testing pirate: sez I !

Let me cheer you up Cheri: My DD is out for 3 weeks :scared1: she won't go back until April 11th.

Since Chris had his Birthday today that must make him an Aries, so Happy B-day from a fellow Ram ! Only 8 more days of my youth left.

Sorry DD hasn't posted on the kids thred yet she's been skating about 3 - 4 hours a day getting ready for her competetion this weekend. Lucky me since she's out on track break I get to be at the rink even more than usual and at 7:30 in the morning to boot!

Finally friday, sorry i have been slacking in the post department, i have been so busy all week! Ok, i just noticed we have a starbucks on my way to work, any suggestions on good coffee's?? I got vanilla hazel latte this morning, what is the difference between the coffee's, i need to be schooled. Any big plans for the weekend?? I get to help some friends move....i knew i shouldn't have gotten this truck!!

Cheri...Tim....Where do i sign up for an irish car bomb?? Be careful, they can be hurtful.

Sorry, no kids here (that i know of) to send to the kids thread. Oh and sign me up for a pin also. What are the colors this year, are we gonna get t-shirts again?? Well off to do my managerial duties....slacking that is. Have a good one.

p-dawg

 P-Dawg...

Me Love Starbucks!!!
For me, it goes this way...
hot coffees: grande no fat white chocolate mocha, no whipped cream

Frappicinos(iced frozen coffee):
white chocolate mocha or carmel

Problem is, they are all SO good! They have "special" flavors during the holidays and they are good as well. I seem to like all the chocolate flavors, although I have yet to try the new "drinking chocolate"!

Have a good weekend and don't hurt yourself moving your friend and their stuff

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

:sunny: Luckey and Cheri :sunny:

Hey, I just survived a week and a half with 2 teenagers home on Easter break,
so there IS hope :rotfl2: !

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHRIS

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

:goodvibes Starbuck's? Where? Where? make mine a grande nonfatlattewithtwopumpsofsugarfreevanilla ::yes:: the frappacino lights are yummy too. But, pdawg, you gotta get some meat on dem bones so don't go "light" on yours. Soon, those big green letters will be calling your name ...

Ronnie Jo, congrats on surviving two teens! I don't think either of mine will make it to the teenage years pirate: Kids just don't know how to entertain themselves any more. What happened to going outside and "finding something to do?" ( "I know Mom you walked to school in the snow uphill BOTH ways" .... ) Ah well, this too shall pass

... and will get us one week closer to  :Pinkbounc party time on the Magic!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

:wave2: Hey all!

It's been beautiful up here in the northern central valley also - mid 70's - gotta love that. Of course I won't be saying that come July. But for now..bring on the sunshine!! :sunny:

Congrats to all of you who have survived spring break!! Cheri - I know what you mean by "go outside and find something to do" - we just invested in a play structure. May our landscaper get the job done quickly and save my sanity before school gets out!!

OK- cruise question - Now that taxes are done - its time to firm up cruising plans. We have talked about airlines, airports and all things flying. But what about transportation and hotels?? Luckey, I know you secured a great rate at the Radisson. Anyone else? I read the dcltribute site and am wondering it the "mob scene" at Radisson to get on the shuttles is really that bad? I want to book a town car from the airport to Cocoa Beach on Friday so DH does not have to drive. But is it worth the extra $$

I appreciate your thoughts since y'all have been there and done that!

Johnna

ps. put me down for one of those great door magnets!!

Johnna - There was no "mob scene" to speak of for the shuttles when we used them, except maybe for the very first one of the morning. No big deal though...

The towncars are DEFINITELY worth the $$. I would recommend Tiffany Towncar. For us, after a long day of flying from California, there's nothing like stretching out in the limo once we arrive in Florida! The towncars are nice too, and it's a private, comfy ride to the hotel versus being herded onto the bus with 200 other people! That's just IMHO :)

P.S. If you're staying at the Radisson, and you like Italian food, I recommend Kelseys! ::yes:: Great pizza!!

We used Tiffany for our last cruise. I'm sure this was an unusual case for them, but I'm sharing it just the same: I double checked the ressie with them (I always call at least twice) about the limo and the grocery stop and the credit card payment . The driver showed up on time (good start). "I don't have no stops listed in my paperwork, but o k ". He drove us to a Walgreen's drug store. (For wine and beer??? Hello! McFly!!!) When we got to the terminal, we wouldn't take our credit card, only cash. Claimed he didn't have his "machine" on him. So, right there before we even started our vacation we had used up all of our cash. (We didn't bring much because how much do you need on the boat?) Yeah, we could have made a big deal out of it in frotn of our kids and in front of everyone already staring at us, but who wants to start out a vacation that way? ----- that's my little story about Tiffany. I'm going back to Tom's next time.

 Hey Cheri...

Is the dumpster full????

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar
