DH plans on throwing all his stuff into a suitcase the night before we leave :earseek: I made him a list "just incase"

My DH has been doing that for every trip he has taken for the last 10 years!!!! I don't even think he would let me make him a list...Did I mention that he was very British????

I know what you mean...I can't believe that I am only 25! I can't even remember the last Saturday night that I wasn't either at home or at Chucky Cheese's :confused3 I'm still at that point where I feel like I'm "playing" the part of a grown up...husband, house, 4-year-old, career...did I mention that I need a vacation? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OMG that is EXACTLY how I feel...." like I'm Playing house :rotfl2: ...

 :scared1:

No corgie gog!!!! We didn't buy any coupons. We walked around for a little under an hour, saw an acrobat show, went into one of the big exhibit rooms where everyone was hawking their wares.....thanks for asking.

OMG for the love of Gilligan!!!!!!! WICKED WAS WICKED FANTASTIC!!!!!! It answers so many burning questions like: just where DID flying monkey's come from???? It's kind of a prequel. I will not give away the 2 biggest surprises at the end in case someone wants to see it down the line..but it gave back story of how she started out...her friendship with Glinda, the good witch....how Glinda started out as "Guhlinda" but why she changed it to Glinda (or as she said the "guh" was silent), how she became the "wicked" witch, how the ruby slippers became ruby, the importance of them, how the Wicked Witch's sister was buried under the house, how the tin man, scarecrow and cowardly lion came into being and lots of other things. Absolutely fantastic. Carol Kane was in it!!!!! Everytime I saw her I kept thinking "bye bye boys, have fun storming the castle :wave2: ) And another actor that was on Married with Children, he played the neighbor, was the Wizard.

Okay...next to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz is one of the freaky-est movies ever. To this day I can not watch either one of them. :scared1:  :scared1: I draw the line at flying monkeys and humans turning into gigantic blueberries.

But seriously...the writers HAD to have been on crack when they wrote these..."normal" people just don't write stuff like that.

BTW...if anyone ever finds out exactly what "normal" is...please let me know :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Ever hear of Falcon Crest or Dynasty.. great Crystal Carrington's ghost... by the way I bet you don't even know who shot JR.

Watched 'em both!!!! And...I correctly guessed who shot JR!!!! Both my parents said "NO WAY!!", when I said who I thought it was, but was proved right in the end......I think they thought it would be Cliff....

yes, but at least I now know WHY there are flying monkey's. Love Willie Wonka and Chocolate Factory...for awhile Saralinda was watching it 2-3 times a day!!!! Got sick of it for awhile...now I like it again.

OH how I loved Journey    my mom would buy me all their albums for my birthday and Christmas and stuff, but I never got to see them in concert. When they reformed and came to Dallas, my husband surprised me with tickets, cuz he knew how much he loved them. I think I cried thru half of the concert, because I had just always wanted to see them and I finally was!!!!! Plus the new guy sounded JUST like Steve Perry...it was erie :earseek:

PS: Did I mention that Beano got his DOCS????

:rotfl2:

So, where's Ophie when I need an "old geezer" smilie!

All this "young" talk....I was class of 84'.

Watch out! We (TZM, Beano and myself) have been known to sing Wizard of Oz and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory tunes on the stairs.........oh yeah, and sometimes even Brady Bunch theme songs! :rotfl2:

 Tinkerbell 80: "normal" = common....and who wants to be that!

Then you would LOVE!!!!!! Wicked!!! The singing was fantastic!!!! I really love good singing, no matter what the story. The lighting, the costumes.....absolutely fabulous. I think that was the best show we saw this season. Can't wait to see what will be here next season.

Tenor...

Steve Perry is from my neck of the woods.......about 30 miles from where I live. I too, had all the cassettes (for you young folks.....cassettes were made after records and before cd's) :rotfl2:

Oh man.......they prolly don't even know what a record is either :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, thank heavens! There seem to be so few of us around. I have to laugh every time Timmy plays that song, 1985, 'cuz it's all so recent to me (alhough I did not shake my "a** on the hood of Whitesnake's car" - come to think of it, never did have a mini-skirt made of snakeskin either) gotta send you a PM about some of these other posts (geezers only)

So that is one phrase I dread hearing. I think I was in 8th grade or so when that happened and all I heard for the entire hiatus was "did you shoot JR?"

I still get that from time to time (okay all of the time) GROAN

Ronnie Jo--I'm not quite as old as you :duck: but I'm not too far behind. You've got me by a hand of fingers in age ;) :rolleyes1

What a crazy week!
Sue Ellen

We still have about 3 dozen records. The kids used to call the 45's frisbees.

I remember having to listen to stuff on my tape recorder because my dad wouldn't let me get a radio in my car because he said the music would "distract" me from driving!!!! What a nightmare that was....but too long and boring of a story...but it was awful, buying that car with him, (had to because I needed co-signer) sat in dealership and cried....
