October 27, 2011 ~ Dream 3 Night

Ok so a while ago I asked about CDs. I was going to make 2 for each room, but now that the FE group has doubled, I am going to have to do just one per room. Any preferenced about music. One is older stuff (Burl Ives, Angela landbury, Julie andrews, Disney Chorus, Helen Reddy) The other is more kids movie theme songs type of thing. Which would you rather receive if given a choice? Remember, these are mix CD and span from about 1960's to late 1990's. I have alot of Disney music.

I prefer kids movie theme songs I am with firefighter chris

We did not book any excursion, but thought we might take Bella to the little zoo in Nassau. Does anyone know how far the zoo is from port? Can we walk or will we have to take a cab? We plan to spend most of the day on the ship, and thought a little trip off the ship would be enough for us.

If I have a choice, I prefer more of the older stuff! :)

I'm sorry I have no idea, but that sounds like fun. Maybe try to google it?

I noticed a list from a previous thread so I will purchase items for them ...... plus bring extra.......my daughter has really gotten into the spirit of looking for little items to put into the FE ...... I am hoping that maybe if people have a few little extras that maybe my kids will get little treats too ..... Our state room is 9170 1 girl 1yr, 1 girl 9yrs............ and........... state room 9172 1 adult (keeping the age a secrect!!! LOL) 1 girl 9yrs

I will add you to the list, but since some people are making their gifts, I cannot guarantee that you will receive gifts from everyone. I am not making anything custom so you will receive a gift from our family!

So do you have 2 staterooms? Are there 2 different families?

Goofy..... thank you so much ..... we really appreciate it !!!!!!!!!!! we are one big family ..... x-husband, current husband and kids...... so two state rooms ..... 9170 and 9172 ......
Can you send me a list of all the state rooms that I can drop off our gifts too ........ again thanks so much

Well I was looking for a lifeline, someone to ome and rescue me from everything I have going on. I have had so much going on that I have not been able to get on the boards. Well we are flying down the day before, so for smurfette and I, we are looking at about forty two days and eight hours until we are at the airport waiting to fly out of cold Wisconsin. It amazes me how we can have 91 degrees yesterday and a hight of 68 degrees today.
We are too. Are you flying out of MIlwauakee? What time- I think our flight leaves around 5/6 ish? My kids still have no idea they are going anywhere. We are just going to pick them up early from school and drive from Madison to Milwaukee and hop a flight, stay in the hotel at the airport and catch the shuttle in the morning to port.

Hi PparteKim- I think we need to meet for sure. My name is KIm too and I like to party too. We will have to toast together on board!! Here is to a great vacation!!!

So on the 8/31 disboards show, they said you can bring one unopened bottle(up to 750ml) of wine or champagne, or six cans or bottles of beer, per person. It must be carried on, and can not be in checked luggage. It is about fourteen minutes into the show. so now vodka or hard liquor can be brought on. This rule went into effect today, September 19th. Also your carry on bag is limited to 22 inches wide, 14 inches high, and nine inches deep.
Tell me this- how do they know what is in your checked luggage? We fly with bottles all the time, so on a airplane as long as its checked doesnt matter, so how does the ship even find out? I think they just want us to not buy much and buy there expensive $15 drinks?

Actually, my nickname is the mirror image of my name... But I will gladly meet for a toast.

We never did bring much alcohol on board. Only twice during the WB TAs when we bought Sangria at the port to bring with us, therefore it was in our carry on plastic bags... :goodvibes

We are bringing back our DCL beer mugs we bought during the Alaskan cruise (next time we will opt for the tokens, so much easier and lighter).. :)

Otherwise, if we brought anything it would be a fifth of something (rum or irish whiskey) and use the free pop for mixed drinks.

Mostly, we just do the Tastings ($15/pp)... The Martini one is the funnest (and the most alcohol) followed by the wine and tequila. The Mojito wasn't bad, I just don't like the sugar sweetness (no sugar means no hangover, at leas to me). Haven't done the Mixology yet (but want to), I skip the beer (can do my own anytime).

We're in 9162, we'll probably see you in the hall. :)

JW if there is a FB page for the October 27th Dream Cruise ????
No, we don't have a FB page.

I could be wrong, but I think they can see the bottles when they x-ray the bags. They ask you not to check bottles because they're pretty rough with the bags and it's a good possibility they will break (or get squashed, if they're plastic). A lot of people on the boards are pretty vocal about telling others not to check bottles. I guess I would be too if my luggage was soaked with someone elses alcohol.

That is what I do. I brng a small bottle of rum, and mix my own drinks. I am by no means a drunk. I just start singing. Lol.

Driving from Madison to Milwaukee for a 5/6am flight? That will be a long morning. Lol. Smurfette and I have a 630am departure, and we are staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Canaveral. A little less travel time the day of the cruise.
