So on the 8/31 disboards show, they said you can bring one unopened bottle(up to 750ml) of wine or champagne, or six cans or bottles of beer, per person. It must be carried on, and can not be in checked luggage. It is about fourteen minutes into the show. so now vodka or hard liquor can be brought on. This rule went into effect today, September 19th. Also your carry on bag is limited to 22 inches wide, 14 inches high, and nine inches deep.

Actually, DCL has chosen not to implement the new liquor rules at this time, but that could change at any time.

Pj, where did you hear or read this? I was planning on bringing one bottle on board with me, and my source is a crew of people that work for dreams unlimited. I just want to make sure either way.

Pj is right...a direct email from DCL stated same. Think they ruffled some feathers on that one!

I think it ruffled a lot of feathers. I searched it now, and there is thirty one pages to read. I am glad I am not the only one who was upset. Lol.

I have only ever brought a single bottle of wine on board and we ended up leaving it sealed for our stateroom host.

But it is nice to have the option with the methods the DCL allows.

Ok I need some advice from some FE veterans... We are still working on ideas for our FE items to give away, several great ideas - lack of consensus. If we don't have time to make a actual Fish extender will something simpler be ok? I was thinking of hanging a nice reusable shopping bag or a disney themed bag... Will this work? Will Disney allow it? Will it upset or fellow FE cruisers?

I don't have the links handy for the FE threads that I have looked at, but I do recall several that were not typical FEs. One had a Tshirt and shorts that had been sewn shut and the shorts were the pocket for "loot". Another was three canvas bags (from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc) tied together with ribbon and names were on the outside of the bags for each family member. I think you can do whatever you have time and energy for. Make sure you take along a zip tie to attach the bag to the fish or it may disappear.

Lisa (Goofy4Ever) is organizing the FE exchange. The cut-off date to join was September 1st. Some people have already made/ordered/bought all of their FE items, so it may be too late to join. Sorry, Lisa could probably give you a better answer on that.

I am a first time cruiser, but from what I've read, I think pretty much whatever you want to do is fine. I had some time this summer, so I bought felt pieces from Hobby Lobby craft store and made ours. It's a little crooked (I'm not by any means a seamstress), but I think it's cute anyway. (and just cost $3.00 to make!)

Lisa is over our FE. She will probably respond when she checks in. The cutoff was Sept. 1, but I think we were going to let others join if they wanted after the deadline (just know some people ordered or made custom gifts and you might not get some of those). I was planning to bring a couple of extras just in case, but I don't have anything custom.

I noticed a list from a previous thread so I will purchase items for them ...... plus bring extra.......my daughter has really gotten into the spirit of looking for little items to put into the FE ...... I am hoping that maybe if people have a few little extras that maybe my kids will get little treats too ..... Our state room is 9170 1 girl 1yr, 1 girl 9yrs............ and........... state room 9172 1 adult (keeping the age a secrect!!! LOL) 1 girl 9yrs
