October 27, 2011 ~ Dream 3 Night

Trick or Treating? I didn't know that would be taking place. Is it done on Pirate night? I though we didn't have an official costume night on the 3 day cruise. Please tell me more.

I had heard they do trick or treating on boat the last two weeks in October. I dont know what night, but I think its the pirate night anyway- so most people might have something costumey on?pirate:

did any one else get an e-mail for this cruise with a credit listed? We got one this morning and it shows $7.86 as a credit on the final cruise price.

I received an email this morning, but it doesn't say anything about a credit...

Lucky you! ;)

Take a look at the cost of your cruise (3rd section down,) mine had a Balance due of ($7.68). :confused3 We booked back in January for this segment and paid in full at that time. I wonder if port fees somewhere came down.

I would think that everything would be cleaned up by the time we leave port and arrive in Nassau. We will all have to make the best of whatever happens. I am just looking forward to my first non-military cruise and I will be happy no matter what happens as long as I can spend my vacation sailing the sea. The ports are an added bonus for me.

I called today as I received one too and they said it was for taxes. I guess they came down in price. It will be credited back to the card you paid with sometime this week.

Or, if paid by DVC points it will be provided as on-board credit. This has happened to us on a few cruises and it is always nice to even if it is only a small amount. :)

It was driving me crazy wondering what was going on at CC, so I called DCL yesterday and the CM told me that they had minor damage and that it would all be repaired very quickly. They said that probably only one or two cruises would miss their stop there. I was so relieved! Looks like we will be stopping there for sure! :woohoo: (Assuming nothing else happens!)

I heard that DCL is changing the alcohol policy as to how much you can carry on. Did anyone hear anything?

There have been a lot of threads about this. I believe (and I am not 100% sure about this) that you are now only allowed to bring on 750ml bottle of wine or a 6 pack of beer on board (per person).

Do we have an official number of cabins participating in the FE? :goodvibes We are cruising NEXT MONTH (in case you aren't counting down the days like me... :rolleyes1)!!!

I had been reading all of the threads related to this too. We are not big drinkers, but I don't want to bring alcohol and have it taken away, so I called DCL. What I received was a very "canned" answer of "nothing has been decided." No matter what I asked or how I phrased questions, I got the same answer. I even asked how much notice would DCL give on a policy change (similar to the notice on the port opening time) and was told "nothing has been decided." I then emailed DCL with the question and the response I got was that "there are no current plans to change the policy but, as with any policy, it is subject to change at any time."

Bottom line-it hasn't changed yet, but they reserve the right to change it at anytime...including before we sail.

Im counting down the days, cant believe finally under 2 months!! Looking forward to spending some days relaxing by the pool watching Disney movies with my kids.
