Annual Pass Mardi Gras Float Rider

Just released today about 5 minutes ago - but the website is already broken - reminds of of the Epic Opening day fiasco - "We are experiencing a technical issue that is currently affecting the ability to make float riding reservations. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue."

Sill - its a free perk for AP holders if you can get it, so that is pretty fair.

I’m getting event is full after I put in our AP numbers

Logged in as soon as que opened. Waited 1.5 hours for my turn and event was full. Since they are selling dining packages for this event I’m assuming there are a minimal amount of spaces open. Did anyone get a ride??? Haven’t heard of anyone getting on.

No luck this year - I usually can get a spot if I log in immediately - this is the first year I did not.

Personally I'm not too bothered - in all the years I was never actually able to use the slot I reserved and ended up cancelling as my dates change often. This year I'm not 100% sure ill go as the whole Epic not part of AP thing is pretty annoying.

That said over a week long trip (usually 10 days) I've typically been able to snag 2-3 nights on a float.
Weekdays are best for that. So in the app you can get a spot when they are released - yes it takes a bit of luck.

So before you go take a look for that. I may also book a night paid if I do go - I think its worth it just to be sure - its a lot of fun and a very unique experience.

My wife and I got shut out.....damn! We desperately want to jump on a float. Can't afford the Ride and Dine option. Any tips on how to snag 2 spots? Is there a standby line you can sign up for upon park arrival? First to sign up has a better chance of riding? Please hel

It's not clear to me how standby will work this year - I've heard a lot of rumbling but nothing concreate.
As I understand it there were also issues with less floats and some empty floats as well. May be related to permits?

In the past you hung out over by animal actors on hour or so before the parade and kept checking the app for a virtual que.
I heard something about a "standby" but again nothing specific other than there is a standby of some sort.

I'm trying to track this info down myself as I wont be going at all unless I know there is a good chance I can get on a float standby.

According to google AI: "For 2026, the standard mobile app Virtual Line for float spots has been largely discontinued in favor of in-park, day-of distribution. Reports indicate that guests may need to visit the Fear Factor Live area to see if a raffle or standby distribution is taking place for that day's parade." As I understand it that was how it was done in the past.

I also wonder if there will be availability at the Visa Passholder lounge.
