**October 27 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

I got through at 7:45 AM after trying for 45 minutes. Hold time was 20 min but her computer stopped working. She had to transfer me - you can guess what happened - into the black hole! Had to go to work til 11:30, so tried right when I got home and got through on the 2nd try!

Hold time was about 10 minutes and I got everything except CRT.
2/15 1900 Park fare 7:25 PM
2/16 Sci Fi 1:20 PM
2/17 Garden Grill 5:50 PM
2/18 Boma 7:10 PM

Everything was within 10-20 minutes of my requested time. Now to keep trying for CRT!

I was so thrilled to be on hold for 25+ minutes. But then Josh (cm) informed me the system down until late afternoon. Please let me know when you get through.

FYI - I had Josh too! Told me the same thing. After waiting on hold for 25 minutes, he said I'm sorry but the system is down, we can't book anything right now or even get into it, please try to call back at like 4 or 5pm this evening.

My wonderful DH kept calling while I took a nap and he finally got us a spot in the phone que!!!

Oh, and my experience with all this: it STINKS! I was one of those who stayed up all night hoping they would open the online system early and I was very upset when the online dining didn't work at all. I have no problem with it being slow, which is what I expected, but those of us who were up that whole time know the system never went live at all and that pushes my buttons . Then, as I tried to get on the phone, I started trying at 5 minutes to 7am and got connected right at 7, but my call we disconnected before I got through the question about how many trips I've had. After that, I kept calling untill 7:45am when I had to help DH get DS5 ready for school and take the 1 mile walk to get to school. We started trying online and calling again at 8:40am and both DH and I tried at the same time until 10:15am when I just had to stop and lay down. DH continued trying to call until 10:45am when he went to eat lunch with DS. He began trying again @ 11:40am and got thru at 12:08pm and it says my wait is "less than 25 minutes".

I'll update when I can.

This dining reservations system is so unfair, not that I have any ideas on how to improve it. Unless you have hours and hours (my boss actually expects me to WORK) to spend dialing the phone today you are screwed. I am not feeling any pixie dust today.

Just got done with 75 mins on the phone with a wonderful CM named Nina. Booked 6 res. for our trip in early Feb. I waited about 25 mins. before she came on and then the rest was rebooting and searching. Slllllooooooowwwww, but it worked I hope.

I booked Cali Grill, Princess Dinner in Norway, Jiko, Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef and Ohana Breakfast. CRT isn't up yet, but I'm just going to roll with it. DD really wants other princesses besides Cindy anyway.

Skunked again by DVC! 0-4 today that 0-3 with MS 0-1 with DD! I get through then Bam! down goes the system!

I think the best thing to do is look at the menu's and decide. Everyone will have a different opinion. If it were me, I would do Mama Melrose and Tony's.

I've been trying all morning with no luck - got up at 4:30. I decided to have my friend who will be with us try and she got through pretty quickly. I also had my husband try and he got right through. Between the two of them, this is what I got:

Jan 30 - WCC dinner
Jan 31 - CRT breakfast (really wanted Feb 4 but it wouldn't come up)
Feb 1 - CM dinner
Feb 2 - Plaza lunch
Feb 3 - 50's Prime Time lunch
Feb 4 - Narcoossees dinner
Feb 6 - CM breakfast

Happy I have some stuff. My husband tried for CRT breakfast on Feb 4 but nothing came up. He tried for Jan 31 and it came right up at the time we wanted. The CM said that was the first time CRT had come up for her all day. I'll try to change to Feb 4 (our 10th anniversary) later. Good luck.

I got through to M.S and was only able to make 2 reservations until the system locked up or was very slow.. Over 20 minutes and they could even pull up my 3rd reservation. I told them I would call back later since I got the most important 2.

Don't you hate it when after gettiing busy signal after busy signal and tha phone rings just to get the "All circuits are busy" message.

Another 1/2 hour on lunch to try constant dialing on my cell. What time does the ADR dept close?

I finally got through and was told the system was down. I BEGGED the CM to put me back in the queue because she said she couldnt just keep me on hold. It took me so long just to get through I don't care if I hold I just don't want to lose the connection... she gave an estimated time of 15-20 minutes... I am hoping for the best....I am back in the queue waiting for the next CM and will ask for the same if I'm told the system is still down... I am off work today! I can't go through this again...

bummer, on hold for 49 minutes with DVC member services, system crashed, she could not get anything to come up. Very nice DVC CM, tried all she could, guess I will try back later.
By the way I told her I had been watching updates all morning on line, and she asked "on the Disboards?", How funny!

Wow! This is awful for everyone it seems.

My 180 days is next week. I hate that Disney didn't get their act together and weren't ready to go today. I'm hoping that they will fix it by next week
