DH here...Christine chose to hibernate, instead of pursuing the varmint. It does look like the groundhogs in the corn field behind us were up this morning, shoveling the snow out of their burrows.
Intense research and negotiation going on here.![]()
Growing likelihood of booking the 10/25/08 DD.
Researching rooms (DCL site is very busy).
Category 7 again, perhaps on deck 6? We've read in the Passporter that the cat 7 rooms are 42" deep on deck 5 (where we are this fall), but 48" deep on decks 6 and 7. But then we thought: what about a cat 6? With the more open verandah. So, whilestarts lunch (pizza), I'm off to ask our DIS friends if anyone has stayed in a category 6? Did they enjoy it? 6 or 7, whichever we do, we'll probably get something in the aft. We don't mind bringing up the rear.

Congrats Sean , would it have been cheaper for you to book onboard thou? I am not sure how that works since we have never done that.
We were wondering that, but PJ mentioned a good plan recently: book now, when the dates first open (usually lowest pricing). Check discounts and pricing while on-board. If cheaper, re-book then with discount and cancel previous booking.
The price for our cat 7 in 10/07 is about $70 less than what our 2008 cat 6 will be. (I think I saw where a cat 7 on the 10/07 cruise is now about $250 more than we are paying)
Accomplished today? Oh, there was laundry, grocery shopping, gas in the autos, and a whole lotta DCL planning!
Just got the new Passporter, and have penciled in PJ's plaplap dining rotation, ports of call, etc into the calendar. Fine tuning Palo thoughts. Reading up on shore excursions.

plus- reservations/excursions at 105 days out, having a dining room/living room, boarding in the first group, and having a room close to Mr. Gent![]()
Wow, those are big differences... I imagine a big price change goes with it!
Ok.... the cruise I was looking at for December of 2008... is $2700 MORE than the Halloween cruise. So... looks like we'll be a double dipper next year too!![]()
