And will i have time to do so????????? If so WHEN???????????

I will be doing treat bags for 24 kids to be added to the big treat bag.

Packing.........we don't usually pack until 2 or 3 days before, but I do have lists........& I am thinking of making a spread sheet for what I want to make sure we do on the cruise.

Woohoo :woohoo: it's one day closer.

:laundy: The LAUNDRY room.......when is it opened?????
Is it opened 24 hours??????????
Can i iron any time it is open???????????

I think the trick there is to just tackle the unpacking all at once. Unpacking generally goes pretty quickly because there's a finite amount of stuff in the bag (unlike packing where the possibilities are endless) and there's only so many places it can go in the cabin.

We generally try to do this as soon as we can get in our cabin and have our luggage (even if not all of it has arrived). Unpack and shove the luggage under the bed. Ahh, you're home!:cloud9:

I find all the packing comments quite funny- don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing at all, it's great to be organised, but I leave Van for England a week tomorrow, and get back on the 22nd. On the 23rd I leave for Seattle airport in the afternoon, so I basically have the morning to get my clothes turned around between trips! Haha, should be interesting!:laundy: :laundy: :laundy:

Thankfully I guess I'm packing warmer stuff for England so I shouldn't have to wash my shorts!!!

Chris, have a safe trip- random Q, do you support Leeds Utd by any channce?! If so my mighty (or not so as the case might be) Gillingham actually took 2 points off you last weekend! :woohoo: Serious note though, where in W.Yorkshire do you live? the last yr I've been in Vancouver, but before that I spent the last 3 yrs in Morley.

Anyway, happy packing fellow Disers!!

This is the reality of packing!!! Men have it easy. If it were up to Sean, he would pack 1/2 as much. Fortunately, I have a DH who does his own packing, but one of the tips I saw somewhere on this forum is supervise your husbands packing!! You don't want to be surprised when you get out at sea and find out he brought not enough clothing!!

Keep packing Moonies :laundy:

Christine

Good Morning Moonies! I wake up this morning to my son staring at me. He has a fever again. I think it's his allergies making his nose nasty. It's only 100, nothing a little advil won't cure. I don't have any vacation time to spare so I told him he either goes to school or gets another shot in his leg. Guess which one he chose! Now, before you all think I'm terrible, this is the same child who will go outside and play with strep throat and a temp of 102. He was complaining he hated school yesterday so any little thing will make him say he needs to stay home. If he can just make it until at least 230 we'll be OK.

Chris-Have fun dear! YOU behave and don't do anything I wouldn't do.......well........maybe you should be a little better than me:lmao: . Not much longer now!

Well, off to make breakfast and pump my child full of advil and Claritin!pirate:

And a note on packing........I've forgotten things before when I've cruised and I still had a great time, didn't really miss it and didn't pack it the next time:lmao: . Seriously, I've just decided if I forget something, nobody will know I forgot it unless I tell them. I'd only stress if I did't have my bathingsuit. You know how hard it is to find one that fits half way decent.:rotfl2: I'd even be ok if my formal was forgotten. That just means buffet dinner for us that night with an excuse! Not making fun of anyone, just letting you know if you do forget something, chances are you can find another one on the ship or in port. Unless it's your costumes, then you are probably out of luck.

So, with that said, here are my essentials:

1. Paperwork to get on ship
2. Passports
3. Bathing suit
4. Credit Card
5. Change of clothes

Even if that's all you brought, you could get everything else on the ship or in port! I saw a dude just have a duffel bag once. If I could only get it down to that!pirate:

Chris if you aren't already gone..............have a wonderful time. Warm up the Magic for us & we will see you in a few weeks. duh, I didn't look at the ticker.......thought you were telling us bye meaning you were leaving. I was really envious thinking how long you were going to be on vacation.

Everybody else have a great day too!!!!!!!!!!!! One day closer.

Hope Ethan feels better Paula.

I must second this. I pretty much do this by default because I'm in charge of the actual packing of the suitcases (if he did it we would need twice as many suitcases. Didn't everyone play with puzzles as a child?). His job is to gather everything he needs and put it in a nice little pile for me. For our last cruise I was checking his shirts (yes, counting) and noticed that the pile was missing some ones we had just bought. "Um, hun, where are those nice new polos?" "Oh, I should take those?" "Yeah, you don't need as many play shirts. You're not going to be doing lawn work on the cruise."

Also sometimes a good idea to have DH try on the shirts before putting them in the packing pile.:rolleyes1

No problem! Do you have Office Publisher? If so, I can email you a set and you can pick and choose your own? If not, I'll print a set just for you two... and bring them on board! ;)
