I'm sure we will be quite an active group in both places! :thumbsup2

Hope everybody has a fabulous Monday! We are one week closer!!!:goodvibes

I will visit both DIS and FB I am most comfortable on the DIS

One week closer :) I like the sound of that! Can someone tell mother nature that today is the 18th of March (not December, January or February!)! Our weather Channel is telling me we are to expect 15 to 20 cm of snow tomorrow :( And again, today, it is brutally cold outside :(

I am counting each and every day as it passes. This cruise cannot come too soon. I too am facing the possibity of more WINTER. I am so over the cold it just isn't even funny. Lois

Good morning!! We have decided that we are just a bit nuts! Janet and I have three dogs (one 50 lbs and two at 20 lbs each) and two cats. We also work with a rescue group. Right now we have four pups at 10 weeks who are almost ready for adoption. One that is 17 weeks that has a leg injury that we are working on correcting the damage. On top of that we also are fostering a mama who is expecting 5 or 6 babies any day now. Each of these pups were pulled from a shelter where they most likely would have been put down. The rescue group will be able to find them a home where they will be loved and cared for.

As I write this I have 4 babies on my lap It is really very sweet and provides us both with much joy!

So here is a question for each of you. Tell us about the four legged fur babies in your lives.

Wow that's a lot of dogs! We have a Yorkshire terrier called scooby who has lived with us for 9 years he is now 12 and a stray cat that we named bella, yet when she was spayed found out she was a boy, oops. My mum is emigrating so we have also taken on her Doberman, jaz! Sopiest dog I have ever met.

Maybe this weekend I will try to post pictures of our dogs and fosters (If I can remember how)

I do not believe that we are expected SNOW :confused3 again!! This is so very old. I will hold a positive thought that all who continue to be stuck in winter (like us) can stay warm and safe!

Left work earily due to snow and me tripping out. Do not like to drive in it. Would have been better if I had worked the whole day. Then I guess we are getting even more snow on Saturday!! This winter has been one of the longest in a while,

I really need to move. I hope that when 2018 comes around I can still afford to more. If not at least I have a home. You know the best laid plans of mice and men.

Till later, Lois

Where are you looking to move to Lois? I would say come join us in Mickey's backyard, but Florida is not for everyone. It has been very hot here lately; today was a reprieve from the heat with a high of 70. But the tradeoff for the wonderful winters are the several months of almost unbearable heat. But if you did move here, you could visit Mickey whenever, and be in much closer proximity to DCL's Florida ports. :sail:

As for the 4-legged friend question... well, I have 8 legless friends! My only pets are my pond fish :). I have a big guy that is pretty old, and 7 that are still fairly small (darn raccoons do a number on my fish population :sad2: ). The big one will swim in front, and the little ones all follow behind, like follow the leader :). One day I'd like to get a dog... but for now, the fishies keep me entertained. :fish::fish::fish:

I would LOVE to see pictures of the babies. It sounds like a little bit of heaven in your house with all the furry babies you have :flower3:

I am a mom to 3 fur babies. My Goldie is a beagle/collie mix and is 52 pounds of love and 5 years old. My little girls Dior and Chanel are Yorkshire Terriers. Dior is 6.8 pounds and her sister Chanel is 4.6 pounds. My little ones just turned two years old in January. My big dog Lucky who just passed away this past June was an Akita/German Shepherd, weighed 102 pounds and was 12 1/2 years old. I grew up having 6 dogs as a young girl. I adore my fur babies......

I miss my Lucky more than words can say........

Of course we plan to move to Florida is there any place else. Just need to wait till the fall of 2018

I would love to have a pond with fish. Watching them can be very calming. I can see the swiming around in your pond doing the follow the leader.

I will attempt to get them posted to the DIS this week end. If you are friends with Janet on FB you have seen pictures as she posts them almost daily. Our Mama Foster still has not given birth. We are told she is carrying 5 or 6 pups. Hopefully birthing will go will and all of her pups will survive.

I remember when you got your little babies. I have watched them grow up. Every time I see a picture I just want to grap them and kiss the top of their little heads.

Good Morning and a very happy week-end to all. We are reported to expect any thing from 7 to 12 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. Have just a few things to do outside this morning then I am going to hide in the house and not go anywhere.

Stay safe this weekend and we will visit again soon. Lois

We got teased with a couple warm days, then back to winter. :sad2:

I hope we don't skip spring and go directly to summer.

We are expecting a slushy mess in our town soon. What's today's date again? :lmao:

And what is up with the wind. I never recall so much wind.

See you all soon. Oops, I mean in 581 days. :rotfl2:

Welcome new folks. :cool1:

Well, I'm kind of in cruise la la land right now... I need to get off my but and get some work done.:rolleyes1 We have a cruise in less than 6 weeks and one of our ports (Grand Turk) has been getting cancelled on recent cruises because of an illness going around the island... I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what they might replace Grand Turk with if they don't straighten things out before we sail. The most likely scenario seems to be Jamaica. So I've been researching Jamaican excursions. I'd mentioned a few earlier in this thread, but now I've really started to research. Dunn's River Falls looks really interesting... Check out the site for it http://www.dunnsriverfallsja.com/ ... Also a private tour company seems like the way to go. Look up Peat Taylor. He has several different tours from Falmouth and most include the Falls. Irie Blue Hole is one of the popular spots on his tours that looks like a blast... If we don't get a chance to try it out in May, we'll have another chance on our November cruise. We'll be sure to report back to everyone if we give this a try.:cool2:

DH & I did Dunns Rivers Falls about 8-10 years ago and it was a lot of fun.

For the fur baby question - our boxer, Laila, passed away last May and we haven't replaced her. Hopefully, when we get back after our April trip, I can talk DH into it.

Still snow here, too. Getting pretty tired of it.

So sorry for your loss. When the time is right you will find a new fur baby or he/she may just find you.

It is starting to turn bad here in Kansas City Lois

Wow, that sounds exciting. Can't wait till you get back and we can get your trip report.

We have 3 vacations coming up. Since we live in California we have decided to go and visit our tourist places. We are looking forward to visiting Half Moon Bay, San Francisco, Monterey and Carmel. We have been to these places before but you never get tired of seeing them. Then in June we are going to Las Vegas. We enjoy the sights, the shows and the fine dining. We were married at the Bellagio 13 years ago in Vegas so the trips are very special to us.

In October we are going to Oahu for the first time and are staying at Disney's Aulani resort. We are thrilled to be able to go there as a couple and to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary in paradise.

Our weather here is California is in the mid 70's. Just waiting for the dreaded heat waves of July, August and September. Blech......

The puppies woke me up at 3:30 AM. So now at 4:45 I am on the computer and I have FOUR puppies sound asleep on my lap. There is something really wrong with this. I feel an early morning nap may be in order.

Since Lisa will be celebrating her 9th B-day, I'm guessing Anna will be 3 (if my math is correct) and Megan will be 11... Am I right? I'll go ahead and put those ages in the roll call for now and if they are incorrect, let me know and I'll fix them.

Pretty close, Meg turns 11 in December, but correct to Lisa and Anna!

Ron[/QUOTE]

Tried that whole yellow box quote thing but it didn't work out for me Ron. I would also love to figure our how to get those cool logos of upcoming and past cruises on my profile. LOL anyone......
