October 25, 2014 Fantasy Western "The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014" Part 2

happy mothers day to all you mom's in the Usa and Canada. we had our mothers day in the Uk in March. hope you have a great day with your loved ones today

Would anybody be interested in a chocolate/candy exchange. I haven't sorted the specifics yet just wanted to see if anybody would be interested first.
candy would be state related
maybe exchange at the meet and greet
must be sealed, as it was when purchased in the store

I know there will be lots of candy on this cruise already as we have the trick or treat. I just thought as an international cruiser it might be fun to exchange goodies from my home country.

thanks sarah

......what does the meal rotation look like these days on the Fantasy? ...

My research indicates the following for our sailing.

Someone sailing in June on our itinerary called and confirmed rotations, formal/semi formal nights, and pirate night. I guessed at the show order for nights 2, 3, 4, and 6.

Oh..... and yes.

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms out there. :worship:

Behind every great man, there is a greater woman. :duck:
Regardless of children. She may have an adult child, ..... her spouse. :lmao:

Of course those who have, or have had kids, deserve special recognition on this day.

Thank you for all you do. :)

I am blessed and fortunate to have an awesome mom, and a wife/mom to my two kids.
I am man enough to admit, without them, I would not be half the man I am today. :scared1:

Thank you, moms everywhere.

:goodvibes

ETA; OK, that may seem corny from a dude but .... my wife's .. what, ... 2nd cousin maybe, lost their 4 y/o girl this past Monday.
So hugm' and play, while you gottm'
:cloud9:

Sorry for the downer. It wasn't intended that way. It's a reminder.
Love them while you got them, IOW. :lovestruc

I'm so sorry to hear of your families loss. Something like this always brings our own (and our families) mortality, front and center. Hug often and don't miss an opportunity to tell those you love, just how much they mean to you.

Bear3412 Day 2, the first sea day, during the day, is most likely the Dismeet Trick or Treating fwiw.

What's does fwiw mean?

I thought the dis meet trick or treat was to be scheduled for the second sea day nearer to actual halloween, maybe Maggie (travoria) will confirm soon

Sorry for your family's loss,

Bear - that is heart wrenching. No one should have to lose their 4yo. I am so sorry.

Oops. You're right. Thanks. I edited my PP. That was a copy and paste from a while ago. I only proofed the sea day/port stuff. My bad.

fwiw = for what it's worth.

Tshirt designs will be uploaded on Saturday, we have 4 entries thus far

I wish I had computer graphic skills. And even knew how to upload something. :sad2: :lmao:

I can only hope the submitted T-shirt graphics reflect the new builds. Visually speaking. ....
That was my thought in the past thread.

However, it's all good regardless. We will be thrilled to have the oppurtunity to participate in a specific T-shirt design for this sailing. We have shirts from our other sailings. :)

Hey. I'll be happy to asssist in the distrubution of the T-shirts in any format if needed.
Obviously this needs to occur previous to boarding.
If I can help let me know.

I'll admit that it's kind of weird not knowing how the ToT station sign up is going. Or the T shirt situation, or the private mixology. ? ? ? Or anything else. ? ? ? Is all this occuring outside the Disboards?
Is all this occurring on facebook?
Where is all the specifics being posted? ? ?

Most Dismeets discuss all this. We did last year. Do we not now? ? ?

I miss the days past where all this communication was here.

Is all the planning posts for our sailing now relagated to PM's and FB ? ? ?

I hope not. :sad2:

Perhaps someone could post here; who, when, what, and how much is needed in case someone on the disboards may be intereseted in participating, or assisting in the activities.

Or, ..... perhaps ....... the alternative.

My thoughts for the night.

"I emailed Ms. Alma about this group. She said she would start booking the meet and greets about thirty days prior to sailing. She also said I could arrange the mixology classes, beer tasting, wine tasting, tequila tasting, etc that you guys may want to do. If it's ok with everyone I'll wait until closer to time to create and maintain the list of folks wanting to attend a tasting or class. Let me know if everyone is ok with me organizing the meet and greet and classes. If someone would rather do it, I don't want to step on anyone's shoes. I'll do whatever I can to help in any way, just let me know. Thanks!

The disembarkation meet and greet onboard always takes place in the DLounge between 2:30 and 3:30 ending right before safety drill. I should also state for any class or tasting at least 20 people must sign up and no more than 25 or so. We had 30 on this last cruise and he bartender kept saying it was too many.

T-shirt entries, is their anybody else who would like to submit, we have 4 entries so far.

Would anybody be interested in a chocolate/candy exchange. I haven't sorted the specifics yet just wanted to see if anybody would be interested first.

None of these are mine, but HTH keeps everyone in the loop.

I did want to know if anyone was going to sign their teen up for the teen excursion at CC. Nico will be 14 so I thought about letting him sign up.

Thanks Bernadette, the only 2 activities not yet shared on here was the meet and greet, and the mixology but that's only because they were only posted on facebook today and Liz hadn't had time to post here

Ok so I printed out your post, and made some notes, and THANK YOU! Very helpful to get an idea of what it might be like. I think I might remember seeing it on the other thread, but I'm not sure.

We requested a certain dining rotation, so hopefully we get it, and my notes aren't totally wrong! lol
