Hey guys - saw on another thread that the double dippers from September have their Castaway Cay time on the first day shortened. Just looked at the DCL website, and these are the port times for both cruises...

Thought it interesting the switch in GC and Cozumel. They have longer time in each port, but we have longer in CC the first day. Not sure which I would prefer - maybe the longer times in each port . Doesn't leave us very long to do much in Grand Cayman - especially when we factor in tender times. I think we'll just explore around port now - like someone said on here earlier. Thoughts??

I am glad we have two full days at Castaway Cay. Being able to enjoy two days at Disney's private island is the reason we booked this cruise.

I wonder why the times keep getting shuffled? Do you think the ports have appointed times the cruise ships can be there?

Maybe this is to accommodate other cruise ships?

I hope they shuffle it again and give us more time in Grand Cayman - especially as we were hoping to book a 5 hour tour - if it stays at 11 - 4 there won't be time to do what we planned at all. Do DCL often change timings like this?

This was the main reason we booked this cruise, too. But, this is starting to get rather confusing...and excursion bookings open in just over a week.

We have decided that is when we will sail again, and the kidsa re just going to haev to miss school.

that will give them 2 years in there new schools, so i think by then it should be okay.

We plan to cruise withall our kids and there significant others at that point DD is married and DS willhopefully stillbe with his current girlfriend.
So i guess one more time i will miss out on dinner with DISSERS but at least i willhave other people to talk to besides my DH!

Well, I must say I am disappointed not to have received anything yet from DCL. I wonder what the SOP is for sending those out? Hm....

Blueberry Chutney Turkey with Berry Bright Salad and Fruit CRunch Parfaits

30oz lemon garlic turkey breast tenderloins
1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
1 cup fresh blueberries
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup mango chutney
1 TBSP Dijon mustard
1 TBSP jalapeno pepper jelly

Preheat grill on med-high heat, cut tenderloins into 1 inch slices. Drizzle oil over both sides and grill 5-6 minutes on each side. Meanwhile prepare sauce: place remaining ingredients into small saucepan on med-high, cook 8-10 min until blueberries break up and flavors are well blended. Serve sauce over turkey.

Salad:

5oz spring mix salad bag
1 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
3 TBSP blue cheese
1 cup fresh strawberries, cut into bite sized pieces
1/4 cup raspberry vinaigrette

Place all ingredients into bowl and toss


Parfait:

1 cup fresh strawberries, cut into slices
1/4 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 TBSP honey
Can of whipped cream
1 tsp cherry extract
1 1/2 cup granola
1 cup fresh blueberries

Combine cheese, cream, extract and honey in medium bowl and whisk for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Chill until ready to serve. Layer all ingredients into parfait cups and top with whipped cream. Enjoy!

I dont know if we will sail on a NEW ship or not Jackie,
I guess it will all depend on Where they are all sailing from and too.

I definitley want to leave from PORT CANVERAL, it isnt the same leaving from somewhere else.

As far as where we go i relly dont care and i guess i dont care about a new ship when it comes right down to it. Just all of my kids being together for a vacation might be a once in a liftime experience.

Our plan is to have one verandah for us and littlest kids and one INSIDE (ha) room for the other 4. At least we will have one verandah to share.

We received the same letter.

Could you imagine the reaction of those who are not on the DISboards and are learning of the changes for the first time?

I know it may be dissapointing to have shorter times in ports, but it looks like Disney may be looking out for us. According to www.porttime.com the days we port there a smaller number of ships in port.
