I am leaving for my sons graduation,

Enjoy the Graduation

Last time I made up some door magnics as part of my gift for the FE
and I wasn't the only one

We are down to page 2 again :scared1:

Checked in on the chat last night
no one around :confused3 to early this time :rolleyes1

Just looked at my count down count
5 months today we will be heading to WDW

Have a wonderful time at your son's graduation!:goodvibes

We are happy for you to invade our space - you are a sort of honorary member of our cruise thread now anyway.

I agree!! Invade away and feel free to change your mind (again) and join us!!!

We have friends on the WB trip right now who have been blogging about it ....

Getting more excited with each passing day :)

Thanks for the link! I caught this just in time before it turned head on and not recognizable as The Magic!!!

Does anyone else remember the really cool video that one of the Diser's did that was arranged to Van Halen's Panama back in 2005? That was such an awesome video!!!! Wonder if anyone has that link??

OH! Found the youtube of it....check it out.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=iYJbjPpgJJg&feature=related

another one that's really cool http://youtube.com/watch?v=8Z_BAdkyqJs

We were the last cruise to be in FL before the ship left for the West Coast on it's inaugural trip back in 2005. The crew was so excited!!! We had such a blast being our first cruise and they had us as guinea pigs for the new menus!! It was cool to be a little part of the first Panama cruise!!!! Ah, memories.....someone stop me before I start singing all of Cats!!!

I used to go through Panama Canal every 10 days when I worked for Princess cruises - it never failed to impress though. That said, I would love to go through one day on the Magic as a passenger.

There are some great pics of the Magic going through the locks on the webcam right now - really close close-ups!

Here are some of the pictures I saved from the webcam of the Magic going through the Miraflores lock this afternoon.

Thanks Sarah
watching all day but missed the last one

How cool to have a "nurses week" - do nurses actually benefit in any way! I don't think we have anything like that over here.

What is the general consensus on the Fish Extender exchange - having never done it before I am not that clued up on what is a manageable number of people / rooms. I'm also sure we may have some more signing up before we leave. Perhaps we should do a poll.

My Halloween tickets encountered a problem and could not, for some reason, be delivered by Fed Ex - so I will have to phone Mickey to sort it out. It appeared they left a letter out of my home town and maybe that confused the computer or something. Hopefully will get it sorted.

We (DH and I) are having a day out shopping today - looking for some cruise clothing :cheer2: and having a nice lunch out. The weather is lovely here at the moment which makes doing anything at all a lot nicer. Sorry to hear you are still having snow Valerie!

Arlene - you seem so busy - hope your house move goes well :wizard:

and some more  for Michelle and Angelina!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Taryn and Rachel and anyone else doing school exams at the moment!

HHhmmmm did I benefit from Nurse's Week?

Well, one employer gave us a beautiful breakfast and a gorgeous bear that was personalized for each of us.

The others? I got a votive candle from one, and nothing from the other two.

C'est la vie!

Thanks for remembering though! That probably means the most! ((hugs))

just a quick pass through:

Thanks to all for posting the PC photos!

Thanks to our own JNS for starting the PC thread today. What is it now, 14,000+ views and over 500 responses. I thought the passing was tomorrow. Oh, well...

Oh! I did get my inlaws booked into a gty cat 10!

Wonder if the upgrade fairy will strike?

This is their first cruise!

Just wondering if anyone has started making or buying anything specifically for the cruise yet?

I have started making my Fish Extenders and am hoping to start on the pirate costumes this week ( I have had the patterns for a while but have been putting off starting for some reason, probably because I just know it will be harder than it looks)

I am getting worried that we only have just over 5 months to go and I have so much to do, and just look how quickly the past 5 months has flown by :scared1: (it seems only 5 mins since Christmas).

The other thing we need to discuss is, will we be having an official DIS meet on the ship, and when is the best time and place to do it? Hopefully all you repeat cruisers will know the best time and place. :confused3

I seem to be completely obssessed at the moment - and I'm sure I am not the only one! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Well done Sarah, great pictures pity we missed the live event.:thumbsup2
Great excitment as we can actually see 'our' veranda (thou there are obviously some people borrowing it at the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hello fellow cruisers!!!
Just a little update on Angelina. Friday I took her for a CT scan. They could not sedate her and it was very difficult. Anyway I pray that they got a clear enough picture otherwise she has an appointment for June 6th with sedation.
totallyAngelic
I have been buying stuff since last year:laughing: I bought Angelina a bunch of dresses for dinner (too many in fact!!!) When there is a sale I shop!!!!I have a big tote full of items that we have used on prior cruise ( pirate stuff etc) I feel time is flying by and I never feel like it is to early to start packing.
Cruise meet...
Last cruise we met at 3:00 in the promenade lounge. It was a perfect location, out of the sun and much clamer then up on deck. I would suggest holding our cruise meet there.

Hope the scan results are readable and everything is OK :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

last time we had the Dis meet at the Goofy pool ,as we were late boarding we found it all very busy and rushed
was reading a trip report lately about them all having a meet on the second day as well as the first day but the second day was at promenade lounge for the group photo

Think it would be a good idea to have name tags as well

We like the 3pm Promenade Lounge idea. A chance to meet everyone on the first day, no sunburn (or rain), might be quieter. Rooms open at 1:30, so enough time to get a little settled in. Not complaining about our meet at the Goofy pool last fall, just might be worth a different venue, to see.
