perhaps we could have a meet on two days, that way if anyone misses the first one they can go to the other one, and people can even go to both if they like. What do you all think?

Everyone pretty quiet on here this weekend! Long weekend here, but only the diehards have gone camping - our weather has been lousy! Yesterday was the first day we've had sunshine in 18 days - 17 straight days of rain, drizzle and fog! Depressing!

Just got back from outfitting the boys for ball hockey, and started getting Adam ready for baseball - the joys of having active kids!!

I think the name tags for the dis meets is a great idea! Actually, dana4disney suggested the same thing last night on chat. I'm never going to keep everyone straight, and I expect I'll be hopelessly confused trying to match dis names to real names and faces!

Okay, going again - Adam wants to take dog for a walk and I figured I'd get off my hinnie and go with him. Talk to you all later.

Anyway we had a BLAST! it was a "Red Carpet Masacre!"

Oh Lynn! Your pictures of your son's graduation made me tear right up! (((hugs)))

Are you sure you won't change your mind and cruise with us?

Lynn - your photos of the graduation look stunning - your son looks really smart in his cap and gown, and you look very much the proud Mum! Thanks for sharing! (you also don't look old enough to have a son of graduating age by the way!)

Amy - great photos of your concert - you had a really goood spot there - I am usually miles away when I go to a concert and end up needing binoculars!

So shall we plan for 2 official meets then: one on the embarkation day at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge, and one on the first sea day (any suggestions as to where and when?)

I have some exciting news to share - my Disney theme park tickets arrived today!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

DD and I also went shopping and she managed to get me to buy her lots of cruise clothing. I am trying to teach her to mix and match with what she buys and stick to particular colour schemes, hopefully to minimise the packing a bit. I hope I can manage to apply the same principles when it comes to my own shopping!

Dizzi
Thanks for sharing you photos...
Amy
I am so jelouse I LOVE Duran Duran. Back in high school I had a group of friends who also loved them . I was suppose to marry Simon I guess he didn't get the memo.. I haven't been to a concert in many years I looks like it was a blast.
Sarah
I think the 2 meets would be a great idea. Maybe we could all meet over lunch on the sea day. What do you all think?

If i could come JUST ME!!!!
I would definitley come!

BUT i dont think i can get off to do that, and the reason i changed was not taking kids out of school.

SO UNLESS SOEMTHING WONDERFUL HAPPENS, Like Dh saying go ahead and go on the other cruise too............

i wont be joining you!

If anyone else is staying at one of the resorts the night before and taking the shuttle (we were wondering if we should look for anyone when we board at POFQ)

Good news Sarah,so glad the tickets have arrived:dance3: We will meet at any given time suggested, thats if we can calm ourselves from all the excitment.

The lunch meet sounds interesting. Since they do Palo brunch on at sea days, some might be there instead. If we're free, we'd be interested. Perhaps Lumiere's? Time TBD (at this point)?

Last Halloween, several DISsers got together and booked the private room at Palo for brunch. I think minimum is 10, and maximum 14 persons. The first group was couples (JNS was there), and the second time girls only. We didn't get in on the group, but perhaps Jackie remembers how it was all organized. I think those interested sent their info (not sure exactly what) to a DIS designate. That person faxed the info to DCL. The thing I remember is that they didn't know until shortly before the cruise if they got the room. So, to not miss out on Palo brunch, you had to book on your own for a brunch slot. Once the group you were in got the room, your individual ressie had to be cancelled/was cancelled for you.

Anybody with first-hand experience with this?

Someone mentioned the Palo room earlier in this thread, months earlier. I don't know what came of it.

It sounds interesting.

Yes I was there but wasn't the one that arranged it
Sean I think that is how it is booked
we did book a palo lunch and then when the prizate room came up we were changed to that
it was nice but a lot of standing about been told about the food
Lynn (Dizzi) and Pam were in our group too

think myself and DH are going to do this ourselves this time

Dizzi the photos of your son are lovely
he has really grown up

great photos of Duran Duran
sound like you had a great time

I think we will be giving Palo a miss on the cruise ( :scared1: shock, horror!) for the following reasons:

1. it is our first ever Disney Cruise so we don't want to miss any of the dining room experiences as it will all be new to us.

2. I don't really want to eat dinner separate from the rest of the family, as this is first and foremost a family holiday. We will save Palo until it is just me and DH cruising in the future.

3. Brunch would be no good for me as I only tend to eat a light breakfast and lunch (will make up for it at dinner though).
