October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

:cool1: Bon Voyage, Janice, Linda and Mr & Mrs Woody!:cool1:

Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

Woody....work on getting the girls to switch to Tortola in '09! :thumbsup2

I think the color, and the way the anchors face means something. In normal boating:

Red = port. (think port wine, which is red)

Green = starboard.

If you had been to Girl Scout/YMCA camp, you might remember from the song, "Barges:"

Starboard shines green and port is glowing red, I can see the barges far ahead.

Packing packing like a mad woman!!
I cant find my whiteboard! I also cant remember where to drop off the ToT Candy.

but everything is stuffed into 5 checked bags and 6 carryons! And it's not even 2 AM. Woohoo! See y'all on board!

Last post before we leave for Orlando.

Everyone have safe journeys. I'm really glad to be leaving today because it brings me closer to Saturday and meeting everyone!

In the words of The Mouse:

See ya' real soon!

Sorry, I missed chat last night. My nephew, who is proudly serving this country in the US Army, flew in yesterday for the weekend!! and since we are leaving Sat. morning and I'm not sure when I will get to see him again We spent the night with him!!!

I wish we were flying today!!! Oh, well in less then 24 hours we'll be in the air!!!:dance3: :dance3:

Safe trips to everyone!! See you tomorrow!!!!

We're here:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We are in Room 103 at the Radisson at the Port. We got here yesterday afternoon. My brother arrives today around noon. YAY!!!

The weather is not so great. It rained last night and was really windy. I haven't been out yet this morning but a relative of ours said that the weather down here for Saturday probably wouldn't be that great. :confused3 I will watch a forecast soon and try to let you guys know.

If anyone is at the Radisson just give me a shout. I'm wearing a blue Eeyore shirt today.

Safe travels everyone!

OH OH OH OH I got to see the Wonder yesterday. I was yelling so much I almost made dh wreck. Now I'm really glad we came in the extra day early. We visited all of our family in the area last night and now today I can concentrate on my brother. We don't see each other very ofen at all.

See everyone soon! If you're driving down don't forget quarters for the stupid toll booths and you may definitely want a light jacket while in the area.

On our last (and only) DCL cruise in '06, it was raining when we left port and the "Sailaway Party" was in the Atrium INSIDE!!! I want to experience the REAL THING!!!! :headache:

So, think sunshine everyone. We're taking off tomorrow morning. "Maryn", notice you're in NY. We're going out of LaGuardia on Delta at 7:15 or something like that! :yay: Are you going out of that airport as well?

To the few who haven't left yet, have a SAFE trip and we'll SEE YOU ON THE MAGIC!!!!!!!

First, let me say that I'm jealous of everyone that has begun their vacation. If all goes well at work tonight (we have a go-live this weekend :scared1: and it's my first go-live for my own project!), I should have nothing to do after about 9am tomorrow morning. If it doesn't...well, either way, I'll be the one looking at my blackberry instead of where I'm going.

Anyway, in relation to weather, no tropical storms in our future. The rain here is part of what might have become tropical in nature, but did not. It is supposed to clear out and head north tomorrow. According to weather.com, by 4pm, there is a 30% chance of rain, which is actually pretty standard here in the afternoon, so I'll take those chances. Even if our sail-away party gets rained out to another location, I'll take that over being at home/work! But, I'm hoping it clears out and stays nice for us on the boat!!

It's almost here!!!

We are here in Cocoa Beach and can see the terminal from our window. It looks so lonely and I can't wait to be there tomorrow. We flew in this morning and have gone to the beach and dipped our toes in. Actually Carrie went all the way in when she was knocked over by a wave. We also went to Ron Jons to get some gear.

Can't wait to meet everyone tomorrow.

Today's the day! WOOHOO! :cool1: And if you're reading this, you should be getting ready! I've been getting ready for hours. I've had over a year to plan and prepare, and I was doing magnets at 3am this morning.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone on the ship!
