Thats a brilliant cake Bethany - well done! Taryn has got her work cut out now! Hopefully she will get to grips with her cake tomorrow (boyfriend Matt here this evening so she has been superglued to the sofa!)

QOTD:

I *think* our shuttle picks up at POFQ at 12:15 .... so we'll get there probably around 1:15ish.

DH and I have 9:30 reservations at Boatwrights that morning. :yay:.

QOTD: We land at MCO at 11:20, then private shuttle transfer. I guess we are one of the later arrivals. Maybe the lines will be shorter, as everyone else from the boards will be finished with lunch by then.

that cakes looks great!!!

We try to get to the port early enough to beat the rush, so we have more goof off time on the ship.

This year we have my outlaws with us, so I really don't know:confused3

I'm working on our t shirts Saturday morning, which is the same day we'll start loading all the bags.

I am SO ready to escape from work for a week! LOL

We are staying at Disney for 3 days before the cruise and then heading to the ship early!!! Our last cruise it was fun to just people watch and the wait wasn't bad at all.

Are you still able to roll a soft cooler through security filled with water/beer/soda...whatever?

WOW!! More details please :worship: We also booked in Feb. '07 - so to ditto Mary - how did you find out and what cat were you booked in?

Okay - here's what I learned (aka... "Iron Ons for Dummies" )

- make sure you measure and check for "levelness" - helps to make sure its centered and also not "squish" (By the way, would appreciate it if no one looked too closely at Alex's shirt :rolleyes1 )

- make sure you load it into your printer properly :guilty:

- make sure you remove the backing before you put it on the material :rotfl:

- to avoid the "scorched look" :sad2: your iron needs to be set to "dry", not "steam" - and I learned to put a thin cloth over the parchment paper - between your iron and the parchment paper

- which brings me to number 5 - don't forget the parchment paper :guilty:

and 6 - make sure it's facing the right way when you place it on the material. I used 2 different types of iron ons, one face up, one face down. I now have a dishcloth with a pic of Mickey on it ;)

I started these with "make sure..." because even though the instructions on the package say the exact same things, someone who shall remain nameless :rolleyes1 still made these exact same mistakes. I'm not saying it was me :sad2: but a ...cough...cough..."friend".

Valerie

Thank you Valerie...:thumbsup2

I'm still a little scared:scared1: , but the craft store is only 15 min away if I need a do-over.:rolleyes1

Are you still able to roll a soft cooler through security filled with water/beer/soda...whatever?

Does this mean you actually got through security with beer in your cooler??? :cool1: Did you tell them it was a special "baby formula"?:rolleyes1  I thought baby formula was the only "fluids" allowed in. Am I just imposing airline rules onto the ship? I am very intrigued by the possibilty of bringing our own beer. DH pirate: would consider that another "Dream come true". :woohoo:

I hear the dryer beeping time to :laundy:

On all of our cruises, we've boarded with a few bottles of wine; also have picked them up in ports along the way. But I'm not sure we did that on Disney...is there a history of confisacation? I was planning to hit a grocery store in town on Friday night!

Also-working on FE gifts-has anyone done Oriental Trading stuff for the kids? I don't want to know your secrets but I also don't want to duplicate (too much).

... We got four flight vouchers, hotel, $60 in food coupons, and flew home FIRST CLASS the next day.

I enjoyed finding this site, and I really am looking forward to this trip, as it looks like many of you are. What a great time to get outta town for a while.

See you soon...

Welcome and Wow! I need your luck when it comes to travel!

Hi guys, I made one last magnet to go on my door. My box of goodies goes out tomorrow. I tried to send it to the ship today but the post office was closed.

This week I focus on PACKING. DD and DH have no costumes yet. Argh. I feel ANOTHER list coming on. Also I have an interview for a new and exciting job scheduled for the day we fly out. eek. I'm going to need this vacation!

Anyway... my latest addition to my door:

I'll try to check in tomorrow night.

See you guys soon!!!

Good morning everyone - well those of you who have seen my daunting to do list will be pleased to hear that a made a bit of progress yesterday...
I managed to almost finish DD's pirate skirt last evening - just got to put on some finishing touches and we're done with the skirts. I also cut out DS's pirate shirt fabric. We also went shopping and I finally managed to pick up some FE gifts for the older girls in my group!

I have sort of worked out a plan for today (although whether I stick to it remains to be seen!)

Plan for today:

completely finish skirts
start sewing pirate shirt for DS
finish fish extenders
print out some stuff (for door magnets and FE gifts) now my colour ink has finally showed up.
start packing
shopping for shoes!

Item 4 is already proving to be a possible failure before I even start as the printer is now refusing to acknowledge my colour ink cartridge ....

Lennie - Have a safe journey and a wonderful start to your vacation! See you on the ship!

Arlene - that door magnet is a really lovely tribute to your grandma.

EIGHT HOURS! :cool1: :cool1:

Tomorrow is Hair Day , and leaving for the airport in the evening :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

DS is taken his laptop so we willl be in touch too

WOW! I can't believe you guys are leaving already! WHOOHOO!!!! This is excitement beyond comprehension!:dance3: :cheer2:  :cool1: :worship: :yay: :woohoo: :cool2: :flower3: Have safe travels!!!

Arlene, I love the door magnet! What a wonderful tribute!

Sarah, did you buy the correct colour cartridge? That is the strangest thing yet! Good luck with THE LIST!

Today is my Grandma's 90th birthday party. It's her actual birthday! So today will be one big party at my aunt's which will be really fun and nice since I know about 85% of her friends coming! They really are a bunch of nice ladies with lots of unusual stories! There's one lady that never married and instead traveled the world! How cool!!!

Another sad thing, my dad's back in the hospital. I have to call today and try to find out why. The only thing he could tell me is that they found enzymes (cardiac presumably) and are doing further testing. He's been there since Saturday but last night was the first he called me! :sad2:

I still have not heard from the following families about their adult volunteer for Trick or Treat!!

Domjans
bbaltes

I need to hear from you by end of today in order to place you and your children onto the schedule.

Sarah, did you buy the correct colour cartridge? That is the strangest thing yet! Good luck with THE LIST!

Correct cartridge but I was trying to use cheaper non-manufacturers ink and obviously the printer is not accepting it! I have managed to get hold of another colour cartridge now and it is finally working:woohoo:

Finished 3 pirate skirts this morning and one fish extender so far - just working on the second one now. Have started printing out things for the FE gifts aswell - so I am feeling a little bit calmer - for as long as it lasts.

Right back to work - I need to finish the second FE before the kids are back from school, as then we are off out shopping!

Sorry to hear about your Dad being in hospital again Suzie - hope he is ok. Hope you have a lovely time at your Gran's 90th birthday party! That is some age!

Today is the day I am going to finish my FE gifts (and hope no more additions!!!-only b/c I will have to go to the store again!!), Ship them, and sort thru everyone's clothesto see what is needed. The kids want me to download songs on their Ipods. But are hard drive crashed not long ago so now I have to reload all our CD's back onto the computer. Just another annoying thing to do.

Suzie, I hope your dad is Doing OK. you really don't need anymore stress!

Lennie, Have a safe journey and we will see (meet) you soon!

I'm going to get started b/c b4 I know it the bus will be outside dropping the kids off from school!! :sad1:

We're trying to do a little each day. I've started looking at our flights, to see what gates they depart/arrive at, and how timely they are. Plotting out when to get our reas breakfast in bed. And, we want to go to Lumiere's for Bfast one morning. DW got some cruise laundry done last night. Also got out swimsuits.

Wow, folks are departing already-safe travels.

Was able to get another day off prior to the cruise, so am now down to 7 days. Hospital is very full. Starting to look like the busy season is here early this year.

Must update the master file of plans now.

Seen the thread of those trying to book 2010? Lots of waiting-by phone or computer.

:groom:

QOTD

What time are you all planning to arrive at the terminal ?
just reading one of the Sept DD and they said the terminal was really busy

We need to return our rental car by 10:00 a.m. :scared1: So we will probably get to the rental agency a little before 10 and then take the shuttle on over... pirate:
