October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

First a big thank you :hug: for all of you who have given me the support on chat about the job situation but listen to what happened today!

My owner came to the facility where I was sent to and spoke with me about the job. Here is what I was told would happen until I decided.....

I am to take a Leave of Absence from my current facility and apply for a temporary Administrator's license and be the administrator at the other facility for the next 6 months. :eek: I will still need to decide rather quickly so that if she needs to find a replacement that process can start.

I have already had to fire 2 key people and remove 2 others from their supervisory postions. :sad2: Talk about stress! I will so need this vacation when it comes!

Got it! Those are the cruises we love to go on. And have double dipped ourselves twice, and didn't even know! :laughing: Thanks!
 
Dana, breathe.....I'm so sorry that this did happen. Oh boy, I will have the drinks ready at the Hyatt :drinking1 and make sure we have some in the limo!!!
 
Oh Dana.. so much stress before the cruise, I know it will all work out, just keep thinking about what is best for you and your family now and in the future and I know you will make the right choice. Your bosses must think a great deal of you and you have proven you are certainly capable of whatever they might "throw" at you. Just know that we are all here if you need to talk, vent etc.. Too bad we are not staying at the Hyatt I could join you and Suzie in some drinks!
 
Cindy, we have a couple of families that we are friends with that have nut or someother allergy within. It is VERY important/life threatening and needs to be handled correctly to avoid cross contamination. Ed and I already discussed tonight what we need to do when doing the bags.

Thank you!! I truly appreciate what you are doing for the boys. :hug: It is so nice to find someone who understands food allergies and how serious it is. As you probably know not every one 'get's it'. :confused:

If you need me to supply some "safe" treats for the boys, I will be more then happy to bring some items. Just let me know.

How will you know to give the 'special' bags to JC and Chris. Are you going to have them labeled and set aside? Do you want them to ask for them?

I am sorry... job stress really sucks...

Hopefully you can look on the bright side and see that the head honchos must think highly of you to put you through this... kind of ironic huh?

Anyway... in 36 days we will all be climbing aboard the floating most magical place on earth and (hopefully) ALL of our worries will fall away with the dark, murky water... :thumbsup2

checked with DCLand they told me there is no 30 rule or anything about room assignments, they told me it has happened b4 that you dont get your room until day b4 sailing, your docs would just say GTY for the room#. She said everyone will recieve their docs about 2 weeks b4 sailing, and that it will prob be until then that we will recieve our room #s. arg! so i asked what about the people who are leaving b4 the cruise to spend time at disney b4 the cruise, will they miss getting their docs in the mail because they already left for vacation?....

Cyndi, we will have them tagged and set aside. Since I have you and your DH being their group leaders, just let us know when you get there and we'll get them to them.

I really think we will have enough non-nut/non-nut factory candy but if you want, it can always be used for the other kids! I will have the drop off schedule out soon so that you can make sure to get it to me (I'll keep it seperate from the other candy that gets dropped off). I may need to ask you some questions about candies too.

I really never understood some allergies until we had this sweet little boy in our church nursery. I swear that boy is allergic to the air! We all had to learn to really wash up before he got there. All the kids had to be wiped down (faces, hands, etc) since he has a SEVERE milk allergy. Even if you had milk on your cereal and kissed him, he would have an immediate reaction - bad enough it could be anaphylactic! We have such strict rules for nursery snacks because of Seth and another boy that had severe allergies too.

So, thank you for letting us all know about it! I would hate if something happened to either one!

last time we picked up our docs at the DCL deck at the resort before we left had most of it filled in on line before hand
you can keep checking on the DCL web site to see if your room comes up
we have had GTY twice and got our room number about 4 weeks before each time Good luck with the upgrades :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

My husband and I are Cast Members. I work at the Beach Club and my husband works at the Contemporary. Our best friends (they live in Pennsylvania) are joining us also.

We were on the same cruise last year and ended up not making Castaway Cay. Hopefully with two stops planned we'll get to make up for it this year.
