October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

I just want to thank you all of your kind words and support. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to know all of you. Hopefully some day we will get to cruise together.
As of now I have us book on the 09/19/09 cruise. I only picked the date because my sons B-day is the 20th and I figured it will be a little easier on him planning something special for his B-day. Anyone want to come along???
Thanks again everyone and happy planning. I will pop buy soon .............

Closing on 7/27. Time to get those plans written down, and check out the web site. :surfweb: Let's see if I recall what PJPoohBear taught us last year: first book Palo brunch, then Palo dinner, then excursions, etc. Time for more laundry, and a hair cut, while :bride: works, and pluto: sleeps.

:groom:

Sean do you know what we can start to book on the 27th need to get the time change right
we are 5 hours before you here I think

I can't believe it's almost 90 days. Tonight we are having a family meeting to discuss excursions. Cozumel we are doing a ruin tour but not sure which one and Costa Maya we may do the Turtle Farm or just have out a Margaritaville. I guess we will have some debate and compromise.
Sorry to have to tell you but we are not cruising to Costa Maya now but going to Grand Cayman instead
check out the first post in this thread for all our cruise details

Thjanks jns. I know of the port change, my brain must have left me for a moment.

OK ... so if we are booking a Palo Tea, a Cozumel excursion and a CC cabana massage, which should come first? :confused3

i would think it would be the order you listed it in. Since there are 2 CC days, there will be more slots for the cabana massage than a typical cruise.

Shoshie, where can you add a cabana massage to a wish list? I'd like to get a time and send the boys bottom fishing, but cannot find the spa-CC Cabana Massage link?

What day is brunch available? There were usually three days (at sea or late dock at Key West) but with the extra day at CC, does this make brunch much harder to get?

Have finally been doing some reading, and I note that the PassPorter keeps mentioning that you can only get one Palo reservation. Either, tea, brunch, or dinner? Have the 120 day folks found this to be true?

Also a plug for the StingRay City Snorkel Tour in Cayman if anyone is dithering. Not the most relaxing, but the Disney boats were just about first on the reef and the Rays were awesome.

Anyone done the bottom fishing at CC? With just six per boat, are they already full?

P.S., how do I get to the chat site? I'm blocked, who is the gatekeeper?

We are in 6610, DS12 is Ian, DS15 is Martin. We are older parents, 'nuff said about that.

We have done Cozumel, CC, Costa Maya and Cayman and Can Cun (a lot of the sites South that are in the excursions) before, so anyone with questions, I might be able to help.

Carla

Brunch was listed as available on the 2 at-Sea days.

We've seen that in the Passporter, too, but for both last year and this year, it would let us book a brunch and a dinner (didn't try for tea).

I believe we can book everything: Palo, excursions, Spa, Personal Training, etc. There was even a button for child care (not lit up for us). I recall the following buttons: reserve Palo, reserve excursions, reserve on-board (I think), and reserve child care.

Just shy of 5pm (1700) here at this time.

Yes - you can book 1 dinner, 1 brunch and 1 tea. Not more than 1 of each type.

The massage is under the spa services. Click on Onboard, then activities, then spa & fitness.

So are we sure that it is midnight Eastern time??? The last 2 Disney cruises I was on was 3 Am Eastern (Midnight Pacific).

I think it is Midnight Eastern, but are morning people. We don't stay up for the bookings, we get up really early the next morning.

Thanks to all for the hotel info. Just wrote it down, and will research those. Any experience with the Holiday Inn (I think it is by rt 482 and the Wyndham?)

Hello everyone:flower3: ,

My Family will be joining you on this exciting Halloween cruise. :dance3: This cruise is my Birthday Gift from my wonderful DH. :cool1: We are actually celebrating my birthday a week early, so we can also celebrate Halloween & my DD 15th birthday!

My family will be: me of course and DH, DD (will turn 15 on the cruise!), DS (13), DS (10) and our youngest DD (8)

Where are you finding the Fury Catamaran excursion to book? It wasn't on the list when I booked and furycat.com only lists the Key West one.

Thanks!
