Hi -

We will be joining you on this cruise!!! Yeah!!!

I've been so busy planning our summer trip to visit family that I haven't even thought about our cruise too much!! Hard to believe, I know but true!!

Joining me (I'm mom) are DH and DD 8.

I have not read thru the posts as I just discovered the threads!! we would love to join in the Trick or Treating. Just let me know what I can do.

We are arriving in Orlando on Thursday and staying on property and have a car. So let me know what I can do!!

So looking forward to our cruise.

Things to decide for Trick and treating
Where to start and finish ?
What day and time ? Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2 pm
a cut off date for signing up ? 5th September
Where to meet and leave all the treats ?
We can sort out who will be going with each group of kids and who will give out the clues and out the treat after the closing date
There is no dressing up for this but if you want to wear you Dis T Shirt That s OK
can't think of anything else to add just now

Jumping out of lurkdom again for a quick question.

First of all, you guys have some great info here!

On the first page you have Pirate night on Tuesday/Cozumel night, but then someone got an email from DCL with what nights were the activities

On 7-night Western Caribbean cruises:
*Nights 1, 2, 4, & 7: cruise casual
*Night 3: "formal night" - formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for
women: gown or dress
*Night 5: pirate night with deck party - cruise casual or your best
pirate outfit!
*Night 6: "semi-formal night" - semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket;
for women: dress or pantsuit.


This would have Pirate Night on Wednesday Night/Grand Cayman.

Does anyone know which is correct?

And does anyone know when the Character Breakfasts are? I am assuming we will have 8pm or 8:15pm dining because we have young children and I wondered possibly when our Character breakfast will be.

Re. the fish extender gift exchange

I will be splitting into 2 groups because we have such a large number of participants and to have one large group now would be very time consuming for all concerned.

There will be no set days or anything like that and it will be very informal and relaxed. You can deliver gifts when you like and how often you like. You will be provided with a list of the cabins in your group and the ages and genders the children so that you will be able to buy / make appropriate gifts. You can deliver gifts to the children only, or to the whole family. There are no hard and fast rules, the idea is for it to be fun and easy! Hope this makes sense!

as tomorrow I can book excursions - the long awaited 11th August is upon us mere first time cruisers and I am keeping everything tightly crossed that tomorrow there will be waverunners with our names on them in Castaway Cay! Please send lots of in our direction to help us get those waverunners. Undecided on Cozumel at the moment - so I feel a bit of late night research coming on!

Incidentally - does the booking window open at 00.01 on the 11th, and is it Florida time or California time. Thanks (and what is the time difference between Florida and California if it is California time) I know we are 5 hours ahead of Florida, but no idea how much ahead of California. Anyway I digress - back to the crossing of fingers and the frantic dusting of

I know that some say putting items into your wish list ahead of time makes it a lot easier when booking. Might try that.....

The bookings are EST or Florida time. So don't worry about the California time (although they are three hours behind FL).

is there a chat tonight , we had great fun the night of our booking chatting

Not been on for a while again but just want to wish those who are doing reservations tomorrow...Good Luck!!
We weren't all that bothered about Palo, just as well as I'v just looked and they have nothing at moment, Do they hold some back for the 75 days out ressies?
Thought I'd surprise DH with the Exotic Rasul but thats gone at any time good too...Oh well, did manage to book me a Pedicure though for Monday 27h, that will be much needed after walking WDW before the cruise!
Hoping to book my Mum in for one too, but they can't book 'till tomorow either so wish me luck, it will be nicer to go at same time!

I've been procrastinating in making our reservations for castaway. I finally got around to it last night. While I was able to make reservations for the stingrays for my DH and kids, I was unable to find a time for a massage at Serenity Bay for myself. Does anyone know if there if is any chance I may still be able to book one when we first get on ship?

Does anyone know if the paddleboats are hard to get at Castaway Cay?? We would like to do this with the kids but doesnt look like you can reserve them ahead of time??

One of the things we did on our last Disney cruise was have a room tour. We had volunteers from each category agree to show their rooms at a certain time on a certain day. It worked out well and everyone was able to decide what room they wanted next cruise. Of course we all wanted the Cat 2! This might be too much to do on this cruise though considering all the other activities we have planned

One additional note about Palos- last cruise we booked a month before we sailed and all reservations were full. We still had no problem getting into a dinner or a brunch. You probably wont be able to go to dinner on the popular sea days but you should luck out on one of the other nights. A lot of people cancel on the last night because they realize they will be too busy packing! If you work your packing around that, you should definitely be able to get the last night!

PS. Midwest Cruisers- Laura, Rob, Ryan-5, Kara-3 will be in cabin 7552.

I was up at 5am this morning and managed to book the wave runner eco tour on CC for all 6 of us (3 wave runners). After trying about 3 time slots where there were only 2 waverunners left, I eventually had to opt for the last tour of the day at 3pm on Day 2 to accomodate all 3 of us. I also reserved tube / float rentals for the 2 CC days. I wanted the Fury Catamran in Cozumel but that wasn't an option, so we will need to have further discussion on what we want to do there, and the exotic rasul which I wanted to book had no space left on a sea day (must be popular), so I will hang on and see what we plan to do in Cozumel and see if I can squeeze it into that day. Nothing available in Palo, but I am not too concerned as we were only looking at booking brunch and I can live without it if I have to.

The only thing I was desperate for was the waverunner tour - and we got it - yee ha !!!!!!!

I was able to access my parents ressie today & hoped to book Mum in for a pedicure at same time as me but all gone..I will keep trying from time to time just in case.
There's not much left though is there?!!
