Nobody in chat...

Did anybody pick a final chat night? I recall it ends at/near the last of the month. Would be nice to have one last big group fest.

Sean,

It's gotten to the point that I don't even check chat anymore - GASP! I know, hard to believe - ME of all people - but it also doesn't help that I've been running around like the chicken with it's head cut off trying to get ready for Christmas! If I remember correctly, about this time last year Amy and I were begging people to join us in chat - so I think it's also the time of year. Would like to get a final chat night in, though - don't know what kind of turn out we'd get until after Christmas, and I have a feeling it will be shut down by then.

Funny - when checked this thread today at work (yes, still do that :rotfl2: daily :lmao: ) was disappointed to see no new posts. So quick poll - to see who, besides me - is still holding on a little!

Who checks this thread on a regular (or daily!) basis, and although disappointed to see that no one has posted in awhile, still doesn't post themselves!

Valerie
(Does the above admission to not checking into chat mean I have to give up :scared1: my "Queen of the Addicts" title :scared: ????)

HI Valerie

I am subscribed to this thread and am notified if anyone posts so if I see a new post has been posted then I always read the post. I was never really able to get into the chat sessions due to the timings of it - but I can imagine that it is really sad for all the chat addicts that it is coming to an end. I will always have a soft spot for this thread as it was my first ever cruise!:goodvibes

I'm still here too

I'm still here and check a few times a day. Forget about chat all the time since I have so much going on here....!!!! But would try to make one last chat session if someone wants to designate it.

We're having a very simple, close to home Christmas this year. Dad is very ill and been in the hospital the last two weeks. If he makes it out, he'll be in a nursing home for the short remaining time of his life. Chances are not looking good at this point, so once again, Christmas will suck this year (dad's colostomy surgery was this time last year too and he wasn't supposed to have survived that!).

But to all our dear cruise buddies, have a wonderful Christmas and a joyous New Year!!! Keep coming back to the thread until they shut us down!!!!:lmao:

Hugs to all!!!!:santa: :santa:

So am I ! But I still check everyday :rotfl2: even sometimes several times a day :lmao: "just in case". I guess I do still deserve my "Queen of the Addicts" title :rotfl:

Suzie - sorry to hear about your dad. Thoughts and prayers are will you!

We still check, and are still in touch with our Welsh Pirates" Totally Angelic "we never took part in the chats much due to time differance,it will be sad to see it end as it feels part of us all. Hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Nobody in chat just now. We check the thread sometimes. The whole email when there's a new post thing didn't seem to be working at all for a couple of weeks (see also, the tech board). For some reason, we only get sporadic emails of new posts. For example: there were, what, 6 posts since ours? Only got email about Valerie's one right after us.

Now, to prepare for snow overnight...

i check the threads daily also, and no1 is EVER in chat....so sad tsk tsk tsk. JEN totally FORGOT about us:banana:   along with some others, bummer. ANYWAY! i have been extremely busy getting ready for christmas, got it all done now though...phew! my feet hurt, im tired and cranky, hungry too i just figured out but its too late to eat sompin now, its after midnight....:surfweb: ok tata for now, gonna go saok in the garden tub with LOTS of bubbles ahhhhhhhhh:love: :cloud9:

HI everyone!

Suzie - so sorry to hear the news about your Dad - sending you lots of

How is everyone getting on with Christmas preparations - with only 3 days to go I still gave plenty of gifts yet to buy, food to buy, cakes and cookies to make, one 12 hour shift at work to do (tomorrow), cards and gifts to distribute, ALL the gift wrapping to do, and PLUS I now have a horrible head cold which is making me feel really miserable. We are heading to my Mum's house on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with Mum and my sister and brother-in-law, back home on Boxing Day and then DS's birthday on the 27th (great timing!). I am looking forward to January when I am going on a diet (again) - trying to lose the weight I found on the cruise (and more since I got back!)

What are you all up to over the Christmas period?

HEY AMY!!!!!

Deb and I tried to get into the new cruise chat thingy but cant seem to get in, would you come back soemtime soon to the Bring back the magic , thread and teah ow to get in!!!?!?!?!!?!?!?

I know you are busy getting ready for the holidays just when you get a chance...........THANKS!!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!!!:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

We just returned from a 10-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera/Sea of Cortez, which was very relaxing. Our goal was just rest and relaxation.

There were six ports and we did not book a single excursion. At three ports -- Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas -- Mrs. Woody did not even get off the ship. (Been there, done that.) I went sightseeing in each of the port towns, and even saw the cliff divers in Mazatlan from the adjacent sidewalk. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

While the Holland America "Ryndam" is NOT the Disney "Magic," it doesn't carry the Disney price tag either. Our cruise fare for 10 nights in an ocean view cabin (equivalent to Cat. 9) was $599 pp plus tax and port charges. We spend that much on airfare, hotel, and a rental car just to get to the Magic.

Some of the highlights on the Ryndam were robes in the staterooms, fresh squeezed orange juice, a "made to order" eggs Benedict station at the buffet (with 5 or 6 samples on display, like at Palo), two omelette stations at the buffet, hand scooped ice cream (4 to 5 flavors that changed daily), culinary demonstrations with a real kitchen, a 3-room library with books galore (with over a dozen Mexico guide books alone), daily 3:00 pm tea, and a classical music quartet.
