October 23 and 24

First time to Disneyland. We will be there on Oct 23 and 24. Not getting park hopper. Which park should I go to on the first day? Which will be less crowded? Thanks so much!

We will be there those days as well. Not too sure about which would be busier on what day, but Monday is the Halloween party. Usually DL is slow on those mornings, gets busy after 4pm, and closes for non party guests at 6pm. DCA then gets busy from all the people that just left DL.

I would go to Disneyland on 10/23 and DCA on the 10/24. 10/23 Disneyland hours are 8-11pm and the SoCal Select pass is blocked out. Though weekends are crowded in general, Disneyland will close early at 6PM on 10/24 due to the Halloween Party and you will not get the whole day there. DCA will be open from 9-8pm on 10/24 so you will be able to enjoy the full day there, as well as ride Tower of Terror in the dark. DCA shouldn't be that crowded in the daytime on 10/24 but it will get crowded at night starting at 6PM cuz all the day people at Disneyland who didn't get tickets for the party will all start to migrate to DCA. I agree with the above(DL on 10/23 and DCA on 10/24) but also for the reason that you would be avoiding any extra magic hours on those days as well.
