Where is everyone? Working overtime to afford that Repo cruise??:rotfl2:

I wanted to join the fun :)

We just finished our first cruise ever, Eastern 1/20 - 1/27, and decided that we needed to try the Western. We just booked yesterday - I may be addicted to cruising :yay:

We even booked the same room we had on the Eastern - 7544, loved the location. It will be me, DW, DD (will be 8), and DD (will be 6).

Looking forward to meeting some DISers this time.

Bill

Welcome to the Spacy9 family!! :welcome:
Please introduce your family by names. We have a running total of our DISers and will soon open up a separate Yahoo site in addition to this thread.

The DISers on this thread refer to themselves as the "Konked Kruisers". I am Nancy (51) and DH is Chuck (50). You will find us a fun and VERY chatty group of people. We are lucky enough to have DISers from the U.S.,the U.K. and the beautiful country of Canada!!
We will be playing a game of DIStag on board this October. Once I find the instructions I'll post them for you. You can then see if it's something you'd like to join in on.

Glad to have you onboard!!:yay:

Nancy:flower3:

if i dont loo at the pages for a day or two ive had it!!! far to much to read.

is there any serious bikers on our thread? peddel power!!! not cc !!!
ive just been talked into doing a sixty ( yes sixty) mile bike ride to raise money for very sick children , its the biggest bike ride in the north west of england from manchester to blackpool!!!! in july so i will be the thin one with the wonky legs on the cruise!!!

i havent been on a bike for eh well years the last time i had a bike it was a red three speed chopper in 1975!!!

Poohbush, lots of dust stuff coming your way! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I know it sucks having to go through that long wait in the ER. My pregnant sister was there a few weeks ago and spent 10 hours there before finally leaving since her back was so darn sore from waiting 10 hours in the ER chairs!! She never even got to see a doc!:sad2:

:welcome: spacy9!!! You picked a great cruise to join, everyone here is so awesome! :cheer2:

Cass, I don't understand! There you are in bright red writing.:lmao:

Poohbush how is Sammie? I had Rachel in the ER last night, she now has pneumonia  We were in the ER for about 3 hours total which I guess isn't that bad, maybe it helps a little bit that I work at the hospital but no one in the ER really knows me. They gave Rachel antibiotics so hopefully she will start feeling better soon. I just gianed a shorter work week because she can't go back to school until Wed. so I had to find people to work for me tomorrow and Tues so I can stay home with her.

Welcome to the Spacy9 family :welcome:

Cass Speaking of Canadians being left out in the cold, did you send your bitter cold Canadian air down to us in WI? The thermometre in my van was at -6 this morning and they are forecasting windchills of -30. This is way too cold for me :cold: ! Is it this cold by you often?

medicalman Good luck with the training for your "bike ride". Wow 60 miles is a long way!

Nancy glad to see that your tax problem seems to be getting better!

Ok Ok OK im off for about a day... .( ebaying instead to get some cash for the cruise!) and look at you chatty lot!!:cool1:

I hope I dont forget anything..... or anyone.......

Paige Thinking of your friends in the war zones, hang in there, you will soon be in your "happy" pllace again:) remember if you do want to vent this is the IDEAL place to do so, with a whole bunch of people ( friends actually) to support you.

Tina hope Sammie is better soon. :grouphug:

Sean fair play to you for cycling for sick kids. I know I couldnt do it, but I' m more than happy to sponsor you, PM the info on how much you would like ( within reason of course;) .... i have a cruise to pay for !) can I post a cheque or do an IOU till the cruise?

Nancy, honey how are you? did I miss a Birthday?? please forgive me. xxx REALLY pleased your tax problem in sorted.:cool1:

Karen, any news on the house?? Good luck, you have great taste, ... your house is similar design to ours !:thumbsup2

Bill HI and WELCOME to our thread.........:chat: :hyper2: :hyper: we DO talk alot here:rotfl:

Cheryl also thansk for the info on the two trips I said about. :) Elouise has seen a picture of paradise beach and so wants to go. We are ok for the beach for half a day, but we all burn quite easily so will have to sun screen up well.
The stingrays Wayne and I did in Cancun as part of the package he brought me to be a dolphin trainer for the day at Wet and Wild in Cancun. The dolphins were well cool, but I know what you means about the stingrays almost knocking you over for food. Im not sure Elouise will do it, :confused3 she says she will ( shes actually quite brave for her age) but I dont want to give her a fright.

Saying that me and her did Terror Towers, while Wayne held the bags :rotfl: ............... thats my girl :thumbsup2

LOL Nancy!!!! :rotfl:

Cheryl N. WI, Actually we've had a great winter so far. We've only had two cold spells, around -20 C but mostly it's been about 0 C to 10 C (32-50 F) most days with hardly any snow. Watching the news, seems like most of the northern half of the USA has had a much colder and snowier (is that a word?? ) winter than us!

I know I shouldn't complain because I'm in Ohio, thus our temp and wind chills aren't as bad as our northern neighbors (the high tomorrow is 4 degrees not counting any windchill), but it is COLD!!!!! I hope this cold air kills all the bugs! Last year our winter was pretty mild so we had mega bugs during the summer. I hate winter. I hate winter. I hate winter...................:cold:

I hear that - we were down to single digits this morning with a wicked wind out of the Northwest. We haven't cracked 30 degrees in more than a week (average high this time of year in St. Louis is about 40). The good thing is that February is a short month! :thumbsup2

I'm trying to convince Jason that he wants to spend a week with me in Los Angeles in March 2009 for the World Figure Skating Championships...somehow he just doesn't see the allure...

I don't think I can justify going by myself for a week. It was one thing last year when Nationals were in St. Louis and I could drive in every day - other than the cost of the tickets and parking / gas it wasn't too bad. But flying to LA and spending a week out there... not sure about that one.

Oh well... off to bed I go. Busy week (as always) ahead.

BTW - for those who would like to start using the the Yahoo group, please send me a PM with your email address. I will send you an invitation to join and the rest should be easy from there.

Thanks! :goodvibes

And Brenda, if you are too busy this week, just say the word. I'll help with those invitations.
