Jason and I may be the only two people in this country who don't watch American Idol...who is she and why should we keep her? :confused3

I think she was also the co-host of the show "So You Think You Can Dance", or something like that over the summer. I noticed too on the Grease show that another British woman is the co-host. I think Americans like the female British reality show co-hosts or something. :confused3

Jason and I have three shows that we watch on a regular basis:

The Simpsons, The Daily Show, and the Colbert Report.

Other than that, if it's not baseball season, the TV tends to be silent. To say that we are clueless when it comes to current popular American culture is a gross understatement. :lmao:

PS. I forgot that we do watch Battlestar Galactica on a regular basis, too...didn't mean to leave out the geeky sci-fi!

Oh Brenda, you forgot skating!:cutie:

Now for me? I love tv!! I do have my favorites though. They would be reruns of the Golden Girls & The Love Boat. Current shows of American Idol, Greys Anatomy, and The Office.

I thought about adding the figure skating, but it's barely on TV anymore so I wasn't sure if the random two weeks I get to see during the year count as "regular" viewing.

So, you coming to our party in July? :goodvibes

I'm right there with you on Grey's Anatomy. I don't care if I watch any other show in any given week except that one! I used to be that way about Lost and Desperate Housewives but I lost interest.

"24" is our new favorite! We are half way through season one on Netflix. There are many others on prime time that we like, but I have to admit that "The Young and the Restless" is the best in daytime for me!!:goodvibes

Oh and on HBO, we love Rome and Sopranos....if it ever starts back up again!

Ok, guys. I need some hugs and that "dust stuff." John took Sammie, our 2 year old, to the emergency room over an hour ago, and I haven't heard anything yet. I'm trying not to think too much about it. She's got a horrible cough, high fever, been throwing up, and shaking real bad. My poor baby. Why do kids (and dogs) get the sickest on the weekends? How do they know?

I'll read some more posts to keep my mind off of things.

Yah! "24" Definately a fave here. Paige, if you really stick with it, then Season 5 is the best! Oh, yeah, we love Rome too. Though DH is getting a bit tired of them "screwing up history" this season. He's a major history buff!

Nope, you're not the only ones. We don't watch it here either.

Nancy Belated Happy Birthday :bday: :cake: party: Did you do something special to celebrate? Here is some of that "dust stuff" pixiedust: hoping that you get everything figured out with your taxes quickly!!!! I am now so glad we escrow on our own even though I hate having to come up with the money at the end of the year to pay the taxes on our own. Sounds like you too are very busy at work. Hopefully these next few weeks will go quickly for both of us.

:thanks: for the Birthday wishes. DD and DFDIL(dear future daughter in law???) made dinner on Sunday night. DD gave me Disney On Ice tickets for next Friday so the two of us will have girls night out. We're going to Major Goolsbeys for a quick bite before the show. I'll have to have my $6.00 cup of popcorn popcorn:: and maybe I'll hold my breath until she buys me a laser light sword. So about $200.00 later, we'll head for home.

Got my "paid" tax bill in the mail today. It was stratigically paid on the 31st of Jan. It also recorded an overpayment by the homeowner. I better get that money back soon. I've been on the phone with the mgt co for the last three days demanding interest on the escrow they took from me in December, a letter to Uncle Sam saying they screwed up and that those taxes s/h/b paid in Dec, requesting they plead my case to the county to backdate the payment, and a trip for two on the EB Repo Cruise in the Walter Disney suite.:lmao: I think I would forgo the first three if they gave us the last request.:genie:

I need that money back so I can go to Brenda's H.P.Party. H.P. stands for "Handsome Pete" right Brenda? :yay:

My parents, sister and her 2 children had the same thing over the New Year's holiday. It turned out to be the flu. They were down for a few days with it. I imagine they were dehydrated as well. The cough stayed with my parents for about 3 weeks. Dust stuff to you.....pixiedust: Remember, children are resilient! Keep us posted.

Thanks guys. Still nothing to report. I know emergency room visits take a long time. My poor Sam. And John too. He has to be pretty miserable, sitting there with other sick/hurt people around him. What a depressing place.

OK, I need to find something else to do for a while. I'll let you guys know later what's happening.

Just looked up our cruise price - its gone up $364!

The cat 10's are now $3267 - Jeff, thank you for offering up your sph if you cancel but we couldnt justify the extra $604 to move up now we are hopefully moving house.

We'll stay in our cat 11 and pretend we have a window/verandah, unless of course Disney throws a bit of pdpixiedust: on us and we get upgraded to Walts suite:rotfl:

We watch at work everyday in the lunch room. That show drives us crazy but we keep watching, and it makes us feel better about our own lives!

Hopefully she is OK and you all don't come down with this. This year has been brutal around here for the flu and stomach virus.

Good news! I've been reading your tax nightmare. I'd have definately been losing sleep over that!
