Heather, Once Chris sends that logo over to you are you planning on printing that to a transfer and ironing it onto your new Fish Extender for the repo??

Sure wish we were going....:cutie:

No I've put it in my signature.

Heather

Can you send me the image file for the pirate logo in your signature? Haven't figured out where they are stashed.

You know you can right click on any picture and do "save picture as" and then insert it from your computer.

I've done that with many of the holiday smileys - SINCE NO ONE EVER SENDS THEM TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

Just leave me out of your little worlds. Fine. I'm taking my ball and going home. :snooty: (to the repo cruise that is)

Nah, just kidding. Suz made the comment this morning "if we get to go". She thinks she'll have issues with the time off at work. Her boss is not cooperative with her since right before xmas. Luckily, he's retiring April 1. Even if she doesn't ask now, if I put the $1,500 depost down on Saturday on the Disney VISA, I have six months to pay it off. He'll be gone and she can ask the new boss. I'll also have her reconfirm at about 120 days out so we have a month to cancel if need be.

My boss on the other hand had no issues. He's says you have no problem here. I have vacation time like the Europeans - 36 days. I just have to move my audit up a couple days that year and it will finish just before the cruise (we're a 6/30 year end).

DS will miss the first 3 days of school, but who cares, he will only be in 3rd grade. I think actually seeing the canal is more educational than learning about it that year or the next.

Harry Potter 7 is being released on July 21, 2007!!!

Speaking of Harry Potter, I saw an article online the other day that says the actor who plays him in the movies is doing a pretty "revealing" play  (or maybe in his case it's :magnify: :lmao: ) . Not sure if that is a good idea for his HP character.

Yeah, he's in a West End (is that right, UK friends?) play called Equus. Rather mature subject matter but good for him - if he wants to be known for something other than playing Harry Potter he's gotta break out soon.

I'm going to have a hard time getting anything work-related done today...I'm already putting my guest list together!

Yes that's right the west end just over the road from The sound of music, did you get "how to solve the problem of Marie" over in the US?..The kids and My 80 y old dad loved it..:)

ps...I remember as a kid going to see it and my dad having come in with us because you had to be 12 y old to view the film....how times change eh,Ryan will only sit and watch a film were theirs a huge body count...:rotfl2:

No one in the UK has anything to say about Harry Potter and the last grab for your dollar? :lmao:

Heather thanks for the link to U switch, ive swopped... dumped British gas and gone with EDF, who are alot cheaper per unit.!!! The amount of electric we go through, they estimate I will save £404 a year. so thanks!

Karen thanks for the links, i havent looked a them yet, will wait till Elouise is in bed.

Ok, now this really isn't nice! I had just mentioned to DH that there was alot of interest on the Aug Repo sailing. He has to go and open his big mouth and ask how much it is? I told him the prices that have been floating around, and now he's intrigued! Problem is, DCL says the sailing is SOLD OUT! :sad2: Actually, they said that there are alot of options open, so maybe on Sunday, when people haven't paid their deposits, there might be some open space.

UGH! Why? Why does he have to even be interested in it? This is just teasing me! So, I'll probably be on the phone with DCL first thing Sunday morning. Yah right! As if they'll even have any cat 3 or cat 4 available!

Really not interested in doing the West bound. Would HATE the long flight home. Wouldn't mind the long flight to CA as much, it's just at the start of vacation. But at the end, when we're already depressed about getting kicked off the boat, no thank you!

OK, could I possibly whine anymore????? ;)

Whine away, Tina!

We got a quote from DU last night for the Eastbound Repo, category 6 for about $8,300. Hacked me off because if I were really going to do it I'd have gotten a better rate on my own early yesterday morning when the same category was going for about $7,200 on DCL's site.

No matter - we're not biting now. But I can almost guarantee you that a lot of cabins will open up after this weekend, which is when the deposits on the initial reservations are due. Lots of people double-booked from what I hear.

Will you still be sailing with us if you end up going Repo?

Tina hope you get to still sail with us, what ever you decide.

Brenda saw this on another disney/Orlando site, thought you might like to know.

Harry Potter at IOA !!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi everyone, thought i would update you with some interesting news i have been given today. Everybody knows that they have been crying out for a new attraction at IOA for years, but it seems the wait has been worth it. I have heard froma reliable source that The lost continent at IOA is to be transformed into a harry potter themed island !!
Duelling dragons will stay , along with the flying unicorn ride, but there will be a new themed eating area and part of the island will be transformed into diagon alley !! Any thoughts on what the other new attractions should be ??

Well now that sounds interesting, doesn't it? Thanks for the info, Linda - I'll have to keep my ear to the ground on this one.

So, anyone wanna road trip to my house in July? Good food, good drink, good people... good bookwormie fun!! All are welcome!! :goodvibes

Tina,

I agree with Brenda. I think you will see a lot open up, possibly as early as Saturday if people actually call to cancel or move (yeah, like they'll be nice enough to do that. I'm sure a lot of people will just let it fall out of the system). I thought I had a good room but now want to move up a couple of staterooms towards the mid elevators, so I'm waiting until Sunday and am going to call and get it switched.

Good luck. I know it won't happen, but maybe DCL will roll the price back a little. One would think if they had auto triggers that increased it, if the counts go back the price would trigger back the other way.

Jeff

O'Fallon MO..here we come!!

P.S. Who's Harry Potter??:lmao:

Wingardium Leviosa (to bump us back to the top of the page)!

Nancy, I'm just going to pretend you didn't ask that question. ;)

I just knew Brenda would jump all over that! Sort of disappointed she didn't! :lmao:

Not to worry! We're still going in Oct! Not much can tear us away from our Konked Kruisers! I'm sure we probably won't do the Repo. Just an idea we were sort of bouncing around. :Pinkbounc I may still call on Sunday, but after the major splurge we're doing this year, not sure if we care to keep paying on a cruise for next year too.

Wow! Did you all see the number of posts on the Aug Repo cruise thread? Over 7000, almost 8000! That's amazing for a thread that's only been open a bit over 2 weeks. That's a lot of chatter! I have a hard time keeping up with who's who here sometimes.

Tell me about it. I just skimmed through about 100 pages from yesterday alone.

I didn't even think to look at that thread yesterday when everything was going on. You read the frustration people were having with the phone lines as well as the internet. People on hold for hours.

I guess I got lucky. Got through shortly after 8:00 EST (I used the Castaway Club number), it said 3 minute hold but it was really 25.

The price we got is looking to be pretty good - $5,200 for the 3 of us in a Cat 9, Deck 2. It is going to be a shame if we have to let that one go (DW asks tomorrow if she can have off). Even if the answer is "no", I think I am still going to put the $1,500 down. I will put it on the Disney VISA so we have 6 months to pay for it. I just don't want to let it slip away that easy.

Just bumping.....

Trying to keep my mind in a happy place...and the Dis Boards is it!:thumbsup2
We found out today that another very good friend is off to Iraq in a while......

Another friend is attending a funeral of one of his young Marines tomorrow.....

I do not mean to bring anybody down....I am really a very upbeat and happy person!:)

Just had to do a little venting..........

Ok, here is me in my happy place.....let's see the rest of y'all!!

Have a good night all,
Paige
