Mike and Walt,

Hmmm you may have talked me into early dining. We will have our nephew and niece with us this trip and they will be 5 and 8 so I guess the early dining is better for them too. I guess we could do Flounders for a couple of hours for the adult shows if she doesn't fuss too much.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again!

Walt, I will get your info up on the site in the next few days when I get some time.

Just dropping in to say "Hello" to Walt and Di !!!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas????

Sale was mad, we took over £567,000 in one day................ and EVERYTHING was 1/2 price or less. We had over 1000 queueing at 5am ! Crazy I know! We had to shut the doors, as the store was too full.

I could have said the codes, sorry, I didnt think................ dooh!!!

Anyway off to play on the WII... with the strap on! (Thanks Medical man, for the tip, obvious, but we werent using it ........... whoops!)

Happy new year all.................xxx

Thanks Timon...Good to put a face with a post...

Will try and catch up on the postings when holidays are over......Don't know where the smileees (sp) are, but mine has disappearred....Help...

Looking forward to meeting everyone on the ship......

Although Diane and I are sailing alone, we will be in the lines taking pictures with our favorite characters....Mickey, Minnie, Pluto....

DD, DGS (9) and DGD (5) will be joining us next year...Checking the logistics ...for them....

Walt

Sorry Karen i dare not wait any longer...BUMP..

Bump away my good man, bump away:thumbsup2

Been to the travel agant today to get an armful of brochures. Trying to plan our summer hol for July/ Aug. Havent a clue where to go. We're all Greeced out - we go inbetween Florida to ease the wait til Mickey ,but I'm a bit bored and the only nice quiet places involve planes then ferrries etc and I dont fancy that.

Someone has suggested Antigua but I think its their rainy season - and I want a tan not an umbrella:rotfl:

Turkey is another option - been to Olu Deniz a few years ago but nowhere else in Turkey. I fancy Austria but hubby doesnt - he knows I'll be bursting into songs from The sound of music if we go there!:rotfl:

Anyway, these brochures should keep me busy for a few hours so I'm off to make a big mug of tea and sit down to find a beach I fancy lying on next summer:beach:

PS - Lindy - we'll know where to come next summer for the Next summer sale code:thumbsup2 . Most of the stuff I have ordered has already arrived. I ordered Ellis loads of age 7 stuff, so you'll probably recognise most of his wardrobe when we're cruising! Next is the only store that the clothes fit him cos of his skinny waist (wish I was the same!) I went today to our little local branch and it was empty! Picked him up some nice trousers and jeans all half price and size 7 and my friend some teeny tiny clothes for her newborn. They are like dolly clothes but still too big for him:goodvibes .

I hope it wasnt too awful for you ob Boxing Day - Birmingham branch was manic and the queues started at the crack of dawn :scared1: - they must be mad:confused3

byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:wave2:

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year.

I am working tomorrow, then straight to my own party :rotfl2: .... hopefully Wayne will have done the shopping and cleaning, so all I will have to do is "pretty myself up " ( could take a while :cutie: )

Have they changed the smilies aroound ????:confused3 or is it me ???

Karen, I use to holiday in Turkey, 5 weeks at a time , so I can give you some info on a few places,.................. I was learning Turkish, i can still remember some phrases, Important ones............ like 5 beers please!

Ibiza is always nice, we go in May/June and its a really pretty island, we go to Portinax in the north. Not the clubbing area, too old im afraid. Thought last year we had a week with out Elouise, so we did go to Manumisions (sp?) closing party............. GOD was that a rip off, sooooo expensive even for a bottle of water. I had to sleep before going out, as it didnt start till 1am ......................... we were super trendy, and even had breakfast in Space, after the party. We then went back to the hotel and slept for 20 hours solid!!!....................."done it once, no need to do it again thanks. "

Have a great new year.....:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Still thumbing through these brochures:sad2: Its driving me crazy..... We might try Port Aventura to get our roller coaster fix in before WDW. It takes me days to find a holiday I like...all hubby has to do is pay for it:rotfl:

Yes Lindy - the smilies are different - you're not going mad;) , mind you... going to manumission maybe you are:scared1: :rotfl: :rotfl: - you're braver than me:rotfl:

Happy new year to you all:banana:
No partying for us - I dont like new years eve - find it quite depressing when they start with the Auld Lang Syne song.:sad1:

Have a Happy & Healthy New Year everyone.

I'm afraid we have no plans for New Years. I'm battling a cold anyway. This sneezing is making me crazy. (I guess I was due. I haven't had one in almost 2 years.)

Drive safely.

Walt & Di,

We're linked with you for early dining. :woohoo:

Robin

Walt & Di, your info is up on the site now!
http://www.cassworld.ca/dcl2007-who.htm

Woo hoo, our crew is getting bigger and bigger!!

Almost New Years....must go eat more shortbread cookies :tiptoe: :crazy2:

Thanks Timon....

Group seems to be seasoned Disney Cruisers....

What is the story behind shortbread cookies...Tradition for New Years ???

Our southern tradition is a must eat black eyed peas on New Years Day for good luck....

Hope you feel better Robin...Thanks for checking on linking...
We have no plans for New Years...

Walt & Di

First, thanks for the New Year's wish. I echo your sentiments to all onboard (and offboard :thumbsup2 ).

I'm wondering if Cass meant to eat up all the shortbread cookies before the New Year begins because if she is anything like me, a new diet begins tomorrow!!:lmao: I consider this day "Fat Tuesday" (or Sunday) because I too shall eat until I can't anymore. D-day is January 2nd for me (Can't start a new diet with leftovers in the house from the night before).

Black Eyed Peas for good luck? We shake dollar bills outside the door at midnight. I guess it's some type of Irish tradition. Chuck is of Irish decent. My parents were born in Hungary and raised in Germany until I was born and they moved to the U.S. "Germgarian" tradition is to eat, drink, eat, drink, repeat.....:scared1:

So...now that Christmas is over where are my U.S. DISfriends? Sure, our U.K.'ers agree to Jeff's challenge as to who can post the most and now we run scared??

Frankly, I'm a little worried about Brenda (Oybolshoi). I haven't heard from her on this thread or email for about 2 weeks. Maybe Jason surprised her with a trip to Fiji or somewhere else nice and warm. And where's my friend Jeff? Still partying from Christmas??:dance3: One more week until his cruise and I'd like to wish him a safe and fun trip!!:yay:

Well, gotta go. Our friends just called to invite us to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Ahhhhh, the gluttony begins!!!!:dance3:

HAPPY NEW YEAR
EVERYONE!!!!!!
Nancyparty:

Walt & Di, ahhh yes Nancy is correct that I must eat all the shortbread cookies before tomorrow! LOL! No tradition, just gluttony ;)

I need to lose 25 pounds before the cruise....I need to get back into "WDW Walking" shape and so I can eat lots on the cruise of course! I think I may have to order TWO Amaretto Cheesecakes this time!!!

Hmmm hope Brenda is ok....and Jeff too...hopefully they are just too busy with all that holiday eating...or playing with their new xmas toys :yay:

Happy New Year everyone!!! May it be a great one for all! And we can all finally say that we are cruising THIS year!!!

Happy New Year to all my future cruise freinds party:

I will be eating my black eyed peas for good luck... with pork it's even luckier, so most southerners eat Hoppin John on New Years day, and although this website just calls for rice and blackeyed peas, most people I know cook it with bacon too..........
http://members.aol.com/RSRICHMOND/hoppingjohn.html

So my Southern Friends...what do black eyed peas taste like anyway? Can you compare the taste to something for us Northern Folk? We don't really have the opportunity too often to eat Southern around here but I have tried a few things. I LOVE GRITS!!! Had them this morning at the Cracker Barrel. I compare them to Cream of Wheat, a staple in my household when I was little. Mmmmmmm, Cream of Wheat, cinnamon & sugar and canned cherries. Not the pie filling kind of cherries but freshly picked cherries which my mom and dad canned for the winter. Hits the spot on a cold winter morning. :cutie:
