Hi everyone

Still no news on baby Kira?

We fly into Orlando a week before the cruise then have 3 days afterwards. The day we get off the ship we're off to Kennedy cos we havent been there for years, and we are looking to do the MNSSHP before the cruise too. When do the tickets go on sale?

On the UK dibb site, quite a few people have mentioned a boat trip that you can see wishes or illuminations from. Sounds cool so we might look into that. I think the boat holds 10 people at approx $25 per head (I think).

I also only just found out that Seaworld do a halloween thing as part of the ticket price. Might look into that too.

Anyway, I'm back upstairs to look after my little DS. He's been ill for 2 days now and cant keep anything down - dont you just love winter and colds

If I remember correctly, MNSSHP tickets go on sale in May. At least that's when I thought I bought ours for this year. Should be by June if not May.

We are in Orlando from the Thursday ( a week before the cruise) so we 9 nights at the World. Staying in the Movies ( Elouise's choice) we liked the look of the moderates, but she wanted to see the big dalmations!!........... so we saved the $'s !

We plan on perhaps doing some parks, and shopping first.

The cruise is to relax. year right ! then we have one night after before we fly home.

Karen Elouise really enjoyed the Spookaular, cos it was in the day time, and there were lots of good quality sweets and craft stops to make things.

We did MNSSHP on Thur 12th, it wasnt sold out, but it was buiser than we expected, and certainly busier than any day or night time we had been there on a normal day ( we were there for 3 weeks ) we were surprised about this. It was fun to do ,however we didnt feel it was particualry worth the money. We saw Hallo wishes on a normal night, anyway. So the only extra was to trick or treat, the parade and cinderella coach. Now we have done that unless there are changes, or more rare characters, I think we will miss it out.

To be honest guys, we have been looking at Freedom of the seas, it looks outstanding and soooo much bigger than DCL. The water area and pools and jaccuzzis that hang over the side of the boat look so much fun.
I dont think we will do it in 07, (Ive got to know you guys so much already!) however for 2008 a 14 night cruise is looking good. Its cheaper than DCL and Elouise is keen to try the ice rink and rock climbing wall.

Any one been or know about the kids club on it ?


Any news on baby Kira yet?

Jeff - I'll have to put it all in my 2007 diary to get the mnsshp tickets etc or it will slip my mind with all the cruise planning

So far so good - DS has eaten a corner of a slice of toast (and it hasnt appeared back on my carpet in 2 minutes - sorry - too much information - hope youre not eating lunch right now )

Lindy - I'm off to look at freedom of seas - dont think I'll get hubby to agree to another cruise though (til he's been on the disney one of course!)

Wouldnt it be lovely for Kira to arrive on thanksgiving day - that WOULD be something to be thankful for

LL,We did the 14 nights Royal Caribbean‘s Legend Of The Seas out of Southampton last year around the Med in a cat2,thier are pro's and con's for doing both but the main one we found is aboard DCL you all have one thing in common with each other "YOU ALL LOVE DISNEY"...With RC you simply don't have the friendship thing going on IAHO...If you have any other questions feel free to PM us we'd more than happy to help....

ps.....Not as many Kids as on DCL but plenty of coffin dodgers....

I'm just popping in to see if there is any news from Rob....I'm hoping Cass is doing well.

Lindy, my friends went on the Freedom of the Seas in September, they had a great time, they have been on several RC cruises and Disney cruises too, in fact they did the DVC member cruise on the Wonder in October. They are in their 40's with grown kids, so no reports on the kids areas, but they really enjoyed the adult venues. They say the food was great, as well as the service. They said their balcony cabin was comparable to the cat 6 on DCL. I saw all the photos they took, and the only thing I didn't like, was the huge one dining room you eat in every night ( I like the rotating between restaurants on the Magic) and more "casino" look of the ship
I like the understated elegant look of the Magic).
I did really like the looks of the shopping mall area of the ship (I forgot what it was called).

B, How much are MNSSHP tickets?

I think the tickets were running about $40 per adult. We were able to take advantage of the 10% discount offered to DVC members so that did make a difference since we bought 4 adult tickets this year.

If you decide you want to go let me know - if they offer a discount again I'll order them for you and you can pay me back.

Since we're all insulting our elders today...Jason and I usually just refer to them as "fossils."

Our daughter was born this morning after 10hrs of pre-labour induction treatment, plus 19.5hrs of hard labour, and was finished off with 24minutes spent in final delivery with a birth time of 0754hrs this morning, a very cold and snowy Calgary morning (total of 30hrs spent trying to get Kira into the world).

Timon (Cass my wife) was touch and go for most of it due to her Lupus which caused very low blood platelet counts (from 20k to 26k, normal is 100k) and a very slow dilation for most of the labour. A C-Section was imminent at midnight until she dilated 2cm from 10pm to midnight to be at 6cm at that time, which postponed what could have been a very risky surgery.

Both mom and daughter are doing well at Calgary’s Foothills Hospital and are expected to be home by the 27th.

Lindy - we did a Carnival cruise in 2003 and 1 thing we did notice is the little time you spend in each port. You seem to get longer in each port on the DCL cruises. Think it has something to do with the Casinos.
