Brenda,

If the schedule is like it was this year, MNSSHP should be on the Friday night before the cruise. Again, if it is like this year, it will NOT be on the Saturday night after the cruise. Book early because this past year it was sold out (per a CM I talked to prior to the parade). But don't think sold out is crowded, the CM said the limit was 27,000 tickets.

Like Nancy, we are looking at going down early on Friday on Midwest. Our plans now are to go to MNSSHP that Friday night and stay in the World that night.

On the back end, we are looking at going to Disney's Vero Beach. We went there this past October and really liked it. DS loves the beach and I'm sure he'd like one more day at the beach.

Jeff

I was reading the "schedule" for 2007, on the DIS, if it is like this year and the MNSSHP was on the 18th not the 19th next year. We are planning on going down early on the 18th, hopefully on Midwest and then taking a nap and going to MNSSHP that night. If we can't then we will go the Sat we return from the cruise.

We are staying at the BCV as of now but hope to change the the VWL at the 7 month window.

Happy Thanksgiving & congrats Cass on the beautiful baby

I think we're going to pass on MNSSHP this year if we end up at WDW in October. It was fun but it's starting to get a bit pricy.

I look at it slightly different. If we get in to Orlando earlier that day and wanted to go to a park, even on a 10-day park hopper, it would be $41 (the per day price). MNSSHP when prepurchased is around $36. $5 less than burning a Your Way Ticket to go to one park and a lot less than buying a 1 day ticket. It is enough park for us that day and even though parks can be quieter some days that time of year, I know there will be no more than 27,000 people there.

Now if you have AP's, then it wouldn't be worth the extra $$$.

It was on both the 19th and the 20th this year, so that would be the 18th and 19th next year. It was sold out this year on the 20th, the Friday. The only other day that sold out was the 31st.

If you look at the actual information that DIS has on the WDWInfo pages, not the threads, you will see the dates listed. http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

Not sure what "schedule" would be out for next October already. I'm just going by this year's days (not dates, but days of the week).

Try Crown Currency - if you have the money now and can wait to receive the cash then you can get in excess of $2.00 per £1.00

Heather

Yes, she was born on your US Thanksgiving Holiday; but for Cass & I, it's Thanksgiving every day now that she is in our lives; she was not only wanted, but planned, desired, and prayed for.
I even got back to the hospital in time to change her first diaper!
What a thrill, Cass took photos of course ;)

We were up at 4:30 and got everything we needed done.

Started at Kohl's, then to Walmart, onto Menards and then Radio Shack. Got home and got my last thing from Circuit City's website (that's a whole other issue). Anyhow, we're done with the door buster items.

With Circuit City, I was on their website yesterday looking at the items I wanted, 15" LCD TV and Canon SD600 camera. I was able to put the Camera in my "shopping cart" and I swore I could do the same with the TV. Well, when I went back a few minutes later, the TV was no longer available online. Wasn't sure if I wanted the camera, so I didn't purchase. Got home last night after going to the outlaws and looked again. Now the camera wasn't available. I wasn't a happy camper. Fine, I'll just go with DW to Kohls and help her out and then see what Walmart was offering. Got to WalMart and they price matched the camera. :cool1: One of my items was done. Got home and went out to Circuit City's site and the TV was now available. Score. Have it being shipped to me by next weekend. Best thing, I didn't have to wait in line this morning. :thumbsup2

Actually went out to Comp USA last night and it was a mad house. Left there without anything. Went past Best Buy to get there and they were 100 people camped out at 9:00 p.m. Went past Circuit City and they had 30 people camping out. Who says our economy is hurting?

Sorry I rambled off topic.

Happy shopping to all that are out this weekend.

Jeff

Question for the non-USA residents:

Do you have a crazy shopping day like we do? Always wondering.

Also, what is Boxing Day?

Thanks,

Jeff

I remembering doing DS's first. Man was that messy. Luckily the Nurses' took care of the rest. I got to do his first bottle as well. But both were great things and I wish I could go back and do it again. DS will be 7 in February. Where does the time go?

Again, Congrats.

:welcome: party:Welcome to the world baby Kira party: :welcome:

:bday:

Congrats to Cass and Rob - she's adorable

PS- boxing day is the day after xmas day. Dont ask me why cos I dont know. :confused3

We have January sales but no specific shopping day.

Jeff for you sir,

"Centuries ago, ordinary members of the merchant class gave boxes of food and fruit to tradespeople and servants the day after Christmas in an ancient form of Yuletide tip. These gifts were an expression of gratitude to those who worked for them, in much the same way that one now tips the paperboy an extra £20 at Christmas time or slips the landlord a bottle of fine whisky. Those long-ago gifts were done up in boxes, hence the day coming to be known as "Boxing Day."

But for most here (men anyways)it's about more beer, yes more, more food and most importantly THE FOOTIE....Boxing day in Britain is a HUGE day for many sports in England so if your brave your either watching or playing it live or in my case nowadays sat on the Settee watching it..... :teeth:
