Hey, we got to 700 posts and still have over a year until we go. :cool1:

So without manipulating the post count, how high do you guys think we can get this thread?

Are we now officially the "Konked Kruisers"?

If so, do we need Steve to change the title of our thread since he started it?

Just curious.

No it was excursions i was thinking about, you see were just not "trips" people,my better half just loves the sun thats why i get the .."didn't you go with her looks" after every holiday we've ever been on :sad2:.But with this being are LAST DCL cruise i'd like to see alittle more of the places we visit and am just looking for afew idea's of what to hit and what to miss during are cruise...

ps....does that lady Lucifer still sit on deck 6(?)with them "come to me,come to me you know you want to" eyes?.....If anyone see's anyone from my family within 50 feet of said lady PLEASE report back to me at once...:scared1:

I have had a look at the trips on offer but they are nearly all to do with string rays :confused3 and I hate the things :sad2: . They make me shiver just looking at them in a tank so I certainly wont be in the water feeding them, I'll be :beach: while hubby and son snorkel - ewk - who wants to see fish either! - yes I am a total baby when it comes to fish and things. It all started a few years ago in Greece.... I was floating on my airbed in the sea and scooped up some water to cool me down. I only scooped up a bl**dy fish and threw it on myself  . Well,.... it landed right between my legs and obviously started wriggling and flapping all over the place - I'm not sure but I think he was probably a little more frightened than me . I fell off my airbed in panic, went straight under the water (didnt realize how deep I had floated out,), drank half the ocean, looked down to see a lobster pot full of lobsters with their pincer things trying to nip at my toes. It was probably way below me but I didnt stop to find out.

Lets just say I swam to shore quickly, never to re-enter the sea that holiday. :sad2:

I now have a fear of fish and anything remotely fishy - cant even eat one :sad2: , so if you find a trip that DOESNT involve snorkeling or feeding stingrays let me know!

Having said that though - I could "do" dolphins. They are cute :lovestruc

I'll help keep us on page one - I check in most days, so I'll just bump us.

Wow- that took so long to type I'm about 400 seconds closer to cruising than when I started! :rotfl2:

bye for now everyone :wave2:

Our excursions will primarily be of our own making...we have Hard Rock Cafes to visit! :teeth:

However, we did the Fury Catamaran Snorkel, Sail, Beach Party in Cozumel in 2004 and really enjoyed it, and I don't snorkel...I stay on the catamaran and bask in the sun and watch everyone else. I think the entire excursion lasted about 5 hours (45 minutes of snorkel time) and the price was pretty good, too - about $45 per person. We will probably do that again next October.

And, we always go parasailing at Castaway Cay - it's so much fun! And then we like to follow it up with a little lunch, a little alcoholic konking, and a cabana massage!

Can't wait!

We will definitely be doing the Stingrays again this time, it was one of our favourite experiences from our cruise in 2003. We will book with Captain Marvins as they allow small children unlike other tour operators where they don't take kids under 5.

In Cozumel, we had the Fury booked last year but we missed it since we never made it to Cozumel and they don't take kids under 5 so I think we are going to Chankanaab for the day and doing the Dolphin swim encounter, which amazingly also let's you bring a baby!!!

Key West will be a short day I think with a trip to Kino's, Hard Rock and maybe Southernmost Point if it's not ridiculously hot and humid, which it always is, otherwise it's Kino's and HRC

Castaway Cay will hopefully see us parasailing in the morning. This will be our 5th attempt at parasailing in the last 6 years. From Hawaii to St Thomas to Key West to Castaway Cay, we have booked it 4 times and ALL 4 times it has been cancelled on us so I told Rob that if this one gets cancelled then that's it...we weren't meant to parasail for some reason!

well count us in. we just changed our cruise date from april to oct 20th 2007. robin just started a new job and we didnt think she would get time off as soon as april so we changed it. we like the oct cruise as thats the week of our anniv (will celebrate our 32 year on cruise.
we cant believe its been a year since our last cruise. so much has happened. we have our first grandchild now. what fun.
we did get to sneak a week at wdw before robin started her job. we flew down from ohio. we have been taken probably 40 trips to wdw and this was only the second time we flew. must say we were very impressed with disneys magical express system.
we did the halloween party. we dressed as The Incredibles and had a blast.we actually have toyed this year with me taking my retirement and moving to florida and work at disney part time. but then the grandbaby came and we figured there was no way we could leave her.
alright timon, we also are going to try parasailing. we too have been trying for years and for whatever reason it never seems to happen.
anyway, we are signed up so looking forward to sailing with you all. cant wait.

Welcome aboard! And Happy Anniversary a wee bit early!! It looks like you will be at WDW sometime this month, too. Some of our group is there already and then a few more of us are lucky enough to be leaving next week (the hubby and I are leaving on Wednesday... popcorn:: ).

Glad to have you with us! :goodvibes

no, we had to cancel the oct trip and we moved it up and went sept 15 - 24.i just havnt figured out how to update our profile. you guys will have to be patient with me as robin is the computer expert in our family and im still a one finger typer. she laughs at me all the time about it.

Welcome all Newcomers!! :wave2:

We have no real plans for excursions yet. I'll have to read up on them before we decide. All I know is that Key West is a long walk to Southernmost Point, Hard Rock Cafe and Margaritaville.

Don't know about Cozumel or Grand Cayman yet. Chuck wants to see dolphins so I think we have to work that in somehow.

Oh yeah..just found out that I'll probably be making a trip to FL next spring by myself. I have a good friend who moved to Daytona Beach and she loves all things Disney and her DH does not. She's willing to pay for my flight so all I have to come up with is spending money. :cheer2: Hope it works out for us.

Yay dyerneeds!! Welcome aboard!! It will be cool to cruise with some DISers that's we've already met ;) Let me know if you want me to add you to the Who's Going Page for our cruise, I can even use your pirate picture from the last cruise if ya like :rolleyes1

I know some of you are DVCers...did you hear about the new AKV?? Wooo hooo!! Sounds pretty cool! The new changes sound very interesting! We just may finally buy there if we end up liking it. We always thought we would buy at BCV when we finally had the money but I really love the AKL, and I think it would be a great place to stay at with kids!

Hopefully the first phase will be open by 10-09-07 so we can stay a night or two to check it out :rolleyes1

 welcome dyerneeds!
DH and I will be celebrating our 32nd anniversary on the cruise too! Only our actual anniversary date will be the week before, Oct 11th :sunny:

We have not planned any excursions yet, I have to do some research first. I do know that I want to go to Margaritaville in Key West and see Ernest Hemingway's house. Maybe Mel Fisher's treasure museum, if there is one...anybody know about this??

But I love planning trips so I'm looking forward to it.

I just realized I'll be in WDW when we hit the one year date for the cruise! :hourglass
It's getting closer!

As I said earlier... Go Cards!!! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Nancy and Jo are used to this...I did it on our cruise thread last year, too, until Jason and I left for Florida.

I'll try to keep the baseball stuff to a minimum until we leave next week. But you can't blame a girl for having a little misguided optimism, can you? :teeth:

PS. Happy anniversary, Jo!! :goodvibes
