We got cookies one day with room service (we ordered lunch while we were cleaning up after going in the ocean on Grand Cayman day) and they were yummy!

Did you know they ran out of Mickey bars on our cruise? Yes! DH tried to order one the last night since he hadn't had one and our server said, "I wish you had ordered one earlier in the week because they are gone!"Thomas didn't get one the last night, but our server brought him BOTH popsicles and ice cream with sprinkles instead. He wasn't too worried about it....

Zachary did have a couple during the week although he would have preferred them if they were Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches!!

Evening all...I have been here....lurking and reading your posts.

I've been busy trying to get my trip report written and not getting very far with it. Hopefully will have the photos to share with you next week.

Don't think Rick and I will be joining you in 2009. We have plans to do a northern european cruise which takes in Russia. Perhaps Jeff can work on him next year on the repo and we book on-board. We'll see.

I agree! They need to change their incentives to reward repeat cruisers whether you rebook on board or not! I wonder if this is something they are hopefully going to be changing to soon because recently when I logged onto the DCL site I was asked to do a survey and quite a few questions had to do with repeat cruiser incentives

we hadnt even planned on thinking that far ahead but as soon as we got back and starting missing everyone we were like crap!!, we should have rebooked.

Robin, did y'all feel guilty the first time y'all did a Disney vacation without your kids? Becky, how about y'all?

Not at all!! We even left our dd in Clearwater with Mike's parents.

She was about 13 at the time. My son was 23 and stayed home in Ohio.

We all deserve some time to ourselves.

yea but that was the first time in 25 years we left them.
i could count on one hand how many nights out we had without the kids.

I don't know if it was because Sean and I became parents early (20 and 19) and missed out on having our own time to ourselves when we were first married. We really look forward to taking that time to ourselves, and the kids are spoiled rotten by the grandparents while we are gone.

So I am getting a little bummed out. You all have been talking about a KK2. We would love to join you, but money does not make it possible. Specially if we go back to paying child support. (I hope we don't). The other reason is we cannot pull the kids out of school again. We learned that the hard way this time.

Now that you all are thinking no kids I really like that idea also. In fact Kelsey and Kyle could stay with their mom, if she would allow it. But then I have no one to watch Mac for that long. There is no way I want to leave her with my parents for that long. Plus if she was left here she would need to go to school, and my parents live to far to take her to school everyday.

So then I was thinking that it could be just the 3 of us. Afterall she would only be in 2nd grade. But then we will hear from the other 2 how unfair that is. So we are really stuck.

Scott and I have mentioned taking a second one in the future just to do the things we missed. KK2 would be the perfect time. We were going to do an inside room, and low as we could go just to stay cheap.


Then we have another issue. We are doing DL in June of next year just the 3 of us, so that would be 2 years in a row not taking his kids.

I don't have any advice for you except that you don't have to make any decisions now. 2009 is still a long time away - you never know how things may change. Who knows what can happen in 2 years - your business may really take off, giving you extra $$ to play with, the situation with Scott's kids can change, maybe they'll realize you're not the bad guy, etc....

So, don't get bummed about KK2 yet either way. Start posting about your DL trip plans - that will make the rest of us all jealous instead!

Ok, so I haven't started my summary yet BUT I just finished uploading Part 1 of my vacation video. Since I didn't take a whole lot of video, I filled in the blanks with some still photos.

Part 2 won't be done for at LEAST a week, maybe longer.

Bless your heart.........I was thinking about you and just praying for you. I know that the upcoming holidays are just the lonliest thing for a girl like you. You know what I mean, it's nice to have no attachments the rest of the year, but Christmas must be so hard for you, you poor thing, expecially living next to a couple that has such a great family life. You have my sympathies, sweetie.

Robin, Addison is such a cutie She reminds me of my great-nephew and great-nieces. They are like little energizer bunnies. I wish I had just a fraction of their energy!

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. Here is what we looked like 17 years ago......I was skinny and he had more hair.

We were originally supposed to marry on the 28th of December, but his reserve unit was activated for the Persian Gulf War, so I had to start changing everything. We found out late on a Monday night that he would be gone in a week, so we planned and made many calls, and were married on the Friday night. We were supposed to go to WDW for our honeymoon, but we had to cancel. We did New Orleans for a couple of nights, and he was gone by the wee morning hours of Tuesday morning. He was away for 8 months, but luckily he was on a ship and didn't see too much action on the ground once they were in Kuwait. We picked up where we left off when he returned (he still had a year to go at LSU), and the rest is, well, you know.
