Well, we'll be bringing Thomas, but, we didn't see him on this last cruise hardly at all, so, I'm hoping for a repeat experience!

Lets see the 3 of us have been eating it for breakfast this morning. It is fantastic. I didn't get any cracks accross the top so I am happy about that also. When ever I make cheesecake I get these valley accross the top of it.

Now the only problem is cutting it. When I go to serve a piece the cheesecake seperates from the brownie. Any suggestions?

I think I missed this conversation - did someone post a cheesecake recipe when I wasn't paying attention?

By the way, Good morning, Carrie!

Certainly the best reason for early dining. And with late dining, you don't feel like eating anything from the late buffets. Maybe that's a good thing?:confused3

What late buffets. Don't tell me we missed those also.

So let see, we missed every show. Then we also missed the late buffets.

I only know about one - there was a late night dessert buffet on semi-formal night. I think it started after 11PM. I was so full from dinner (lobster, yum) and whatever I had for dessert that night all I could eat was a couple of little bite-size whatevers. So, I sort of missed it too.

Good morning to you also

Becky sent us a recipe through a pm before the trip. I just made it last night and it was oh so yummy, brownie chocolate chip cheesecake.

So I am getting a little bummed out. You all have been talking about a KK2. We would love to join you, but money does not make it possible. Specially if we go back to paying child support. (I hope we don't). The other reason is we cannot pull the kids out of school again. We learned that the hard way this time.

Now that you all are thinking no kids I really like that idea also. In fact Kelsey and Kyle could stay with their mom, if she would allow it. But then I have no one to watch Mac for that long. There is no way I want to leave her with my parents for that long. Plus if she was left here she would need to go to school, and my parents live to far to take her to school everyday.

So then I was thinking that it could be just the 3 of us. Afterall she would only be in 2nd grade. But then we will hear from the other 2 how unfair that is. So we are really stuck.

Scott and I have mentioned taking a second one in the future just to do the things we missed. KK2 would be the perfect time. We were going to do an inside room, and low as we could go just to stay cheap.

Then we have another issue. We are doing DL in June of next year just the 3 of us, so that would be 2 years in a row not taking his kids.

Carrie,

I don't have any advice for you except that you don't have to make any decisions now. 2009 is still a long time away - you never know how things may change. Who knows what can happen in 2 years - your business may really take off, giving you extra $$ to play with, the situation with Scott's kids can change, maybe they'll realize you're not the bad guy, etc....

So, don't get bummed about KK2 yet either way. Start posting about your DL trip plans - that will make the rest of us all jealous instead! :lmao:

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. Here is what we looked like 17 years ago......I was skinny and he had more hair.

We were originally supposed to marry on the 28th of December, but his reserve unit was activated for the Persian Gulf War, so I had to start changing everything. We found out late on a Monday night that he would be gone in a week, so we planned and made many calls, and were married on the Friday night. We were supposed to go to WDW for our honeymoon, but we had to cancel. We did New Orleans for a couple of nights, and he was gone by the wee morning hours of Tuesday morning. He was away for 8 months, but luckily he was on a ship and didn't see too much action on the ground once they were in Kuwait. We picked up where we left off when he returned (he still had a year to go at LSU), and the rest is, well, you know.

Y'all have a great day!:goodvibes

what a nice romance story. thanks for sharing. Diane

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy nightie. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want."

So he tied her up and went golfing.

**************************************************

A woman came home, screeching her car into the driveway, and ran into the house. She slammed the door and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Honey, pack your bags. I won the lottery!"

The husband said, "Oh my God! What should I pack, beach stuff or mountain stuff?" "Doesn't matter," she said. "Just get out."

**************************************************

Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.

**************************************************

A Polish immigrant went to the DMV to apply for a driver's license.

First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test. The optician showed him a card with the letters:
'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.'

"Can you read this?" the optician asked.

"Read it?" the Polish guy replied, "I know the guy."

**************************************************

Mother Superior called all the nuns together and said to them,

"I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent."

"Thank God," said an elderly nun at the back. "I'm so tired of chardonnay."

**************************************************
A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

"Careful," he said, "CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD!
You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful . CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!"

The wife stared at him. "What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?"

The husband calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving."

cute jokes. I even got them and I am slow with jokes. Diane

the desserts were good but the line was very long. Remember you can get cookies and mickey bars room service at night. That is what Walt and I did almost every night. No wonder I gained 10 pounds. Diane

This is for Walt: The food at our wedding was so good, it made you want to slap yo' mama! I still remember that gumbo.......

I love Walts mom cooking especially her gumbo. I always gain a few pounds when I visit her. The best fried chicken in town. Walt makes a mean gumbo. He will be making it for Christmas Eve. My kids love it. Me too. Diane

We got cookies one day with room service (we ordered lunch while we were cleaning up after going in the ocean on Grand Cayman day) and they were yummy!

Did you know they ran out of Mickey bars on our cruise? Thomas didn't get one the last night, but our server brought him BOTH popsicles and ice cream with sprinkles instead. He wasn't too worried about it....

We always have gumbo on Christmas Eve as well. Yummy!:woohoo:

I haven't had that happen to me, but of course I always get the valley in the middle of it. I think out of the 20 or more cheesecakes I have made
