October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Ok, so I talked to Rob on the phone tonight....Out of the blue, he says, "It'll sure be hard to wait 4 years to cruise again. In fact, it'll be hard to wait until 2009." I said it'll be easy since we don't have the money to cruise until then. But he is the "money guy" in the family, so.......

I think he wants in on KK2!!

But I am torn. I really don't want to pull my kids out of school.....He says that's 2 years away, we'll never remember it as being hard to get back to the school routine. Long story short, by the end of this long conversation, we were thinking of having his parents come and stay with the kids and we would cruise alone. We would call it our 20th anniversary-1 year early.

It's funny how missing your family (he'll be home in the next couple of weeks) and missing your wedding anniversary (17 years tomorrow for us) makes you lose all common sense.....:rotfl:

Happy Anniversary to you. Diane

Not at all!! We even left our dd in Clearwater with Mike's parents.

She was about 13 at the time. My son was 23 and stayed home in Ohio.

We all deserve some time to ourselves. :goodvibes

I agree even though all during the trip I thought how much the kids would have loved it. old and young. grandkids and kids

I like early dining because we weren't rushed to get to Rocking Bar D...:happytv:

Also, able to save chairs and hear the band twice...:confused3

Walt:cool1:

Certainly the best reason for early dining. And with late dining, you don't feel like eating anything from the late buffets. Maybe that's a good thing?:confused3

great pictures. I need a few of those pictures if I can. Oh by the way I lose 5.8 pounds this week. not bad. 3.8 pounds more to go to get back to my weight before the cruise. Diane

Good for you Di

Good morning everyone!

Cass: Great pics! (as usual) :thumbsup2

Paige: Happy Anniversary to you and Rob. Thanks for the great song selection for Spencer. It's being added onto the playlist.
BTW: What's the term they use in Louisiana for a mixture of celery, onion and peppers? I watched Emeril the other night and now I can't remember the term. :confused3

Di: Great job on the weight loss. :thumbsup2 I leave in 10 minutes to see the damage I did.

Robin: Fantastic pictures too! :woohoo: I feel like tossing all of mine and using everyone elses.

Becky & Paige: Chuck and I did our first WDW vacation without the kids in 05. Then in Oct of 05 we did our cruise. I did feel a little bad about leaving them behind for WDW but not the cruise. And they couldn't believe that we would go without them. :rotfl2:

Thanks to everyone who sent me a song for Spencer. Keep 'em coming!!

Happy Anniversary Paige & Rob! :goodvibes

Laissez les bon temps roulez!!! :thumbsup2

Er... did I spell that right? :lmao:

Thanks, B, the good times will be rolling with only me and the dis I am afraid. Rob won't be home until some time between the 18th and the 20th. Now that he is hinting around that he wants to do KK2, I have a hard time thinking about anything else...:rotfl:

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. Here is what we looked like 17 years ago......I was skinny and he had more hair.

We were originally supposed to marry on the 28th of December, but his reserve unit was activated for the Persian Gulf War, so I had to start changing everything. We found out late on a Monday night that he would be gone in a week, so we planned and made many calls, and were married on the Friday night. We were supposed to go to WDW for our honeymoon, but we had to cancel. We did New Orleans for a couple of nights, and he was gone by the wee morning hours of Tuesday morning. He was away for 8 months, but luckily he was on a ship and didn't see too much action on the ground once they were in Kuwait. We picked up where we left off when he returned (he still had a year to go at LSU), and the rest is, well, you know.

Y'all have a great day!:goodvibes

Evening all...I have been here....lurking and reading your posts.

I've been busy trying to get my trip report written and not getting very far with it. Hopefully will have the photos to share with you next week.

Don't think Rick and I will be joining you in 2009. We have plans to do a northern european cruise which takes in Russia. Perhaps Jeff can work on him next year on the repo and we book on-board. We'll see.

Heather dear would you like me to apply any pressure on Rick for you...:rolleyes1

Morning Lady's,has their been any kind of roll call as to who maybe going on KK2?....:rolleyes1

Walt, Di, Mike and Robin want to be tablemates with Jeff and Karen since they got all the attention and hugs from the same servers. Also, we ordered first but they seemed to get the hot food first every night....:lmao:

Walt :cool1:

Really? - I cant say I noticed:eek: - I was probably too busy eating or gettin hugs:lmao: :lmao: - you can be on our table anytime:goodvibes

Does everyone want to see the partying at Rockin Bar D?

Some of the pics are blurry. It wasn't because I was drunk when I took the pics... people were moving too much. :rotfl2:

There is more than one page.

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy nightie. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want."

So he tied her up and went golfing.

**************************************************

A woman came home, screeching her car into the driveway, and ran into the house. She slammed the door and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Honey, pack your bags. I won the lottery!"

The husband said, "Oh my God! What should I pack, beach stuff or mountain stuff?" "Doesn't matter," she said. "Just get out."

Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is a husband.

A Polish immigrant went to the DMV to apply for a driver's license.

First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test. The optician showed him a card with the letters:
'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.'

"Can you read this?" the optician asked.

"Read it?" the Polish guy replied, "I know the guy."

**************************************************

Mother Superior called all the nuns together and said to them,

"I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent."

"Thank God," said an elderly nun at the back. "I'm so tired of chardonnay."

**************************************************
A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband.

Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

"Careful," he said, "CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD!
You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful . CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!"

The wife stared at him. "What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?"

The husband calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving."

MMMM, I'm trying to decide if I am going to totally blow my diet and make one for my birthday next week. Please let me know how it comes out.

Lets see the 3 of us have been eating it for breakfast this morning. It is fantastic. I didn't get any cracks accross the top so I am happy about that also. When ever I make cheesecake I get these valley accross the top of it.

Now the only problem is cutting it. When I go to serve a piece the cheesecake seperates from the brownie. Any suggestions?
