So, who all rebooked now?

Who's all looking at Oct 2009?

Who will go Alaska in Aug 2009 if it comes true? If not, will you go Oct 2009?

Just wondering what we're planning for KK2.

we tend to not look that far ahead and just live for the moment. we know i have another valve surgery in the future and thats kind of the reason we didnt rebook. we probably should have but we are looking at a few wdw trips in the next few years and its easier to be more flexible on cancelling those trips last minute if we have to.
but if everyone is planning a kk2 you can count us in. we had a great time meeting everyone.:thumbsup2

We rebooked and will be there for KK2!!! We also booked my sister and family and my dad so Alex can stay in his room so we don't have to go to a cat 4. Harrison is booked for that one!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Anyone catch this on the DCL site? Is anyone watching this storm?

Tropical Weather Update

As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007:

Guests sailing November 1st who have questions regarding their voyage and the effects of Tropical Storm Noel should be aware that the safety of our guests and crew is always our first priority at Disney Cruise Line® and we continually monitor a storm's progress through the National Weather Service.

Based upon the current projections of the storm's path, we do not anticipate a need to alter our departure from Port Canaveral, FL.

Should weather conditions change, our Captain can alter the ship's course or itinerary for the safety and well being of our guests.

If we were sailing this week, I don't think we'd get to CC. From what I've seen the storm should pass over CC on Thursday. That means they will have to evacuate the CM's by Wednesday and they probably won't go back until sometime Fri or Sat. Not to mention what damage may occur.

Wonder where the Wonder will end up going on Thursday (or right now for that matter). Don't think the 3 night this Thursday will be going to Nassau or CC. My guess would be Key West and a day at sea - bummer.

We will probably rebook on next years cruise....KK2 sounds great and DH and I both hit the big 4-0 that year.

Well hopefully it will be cleared out and nice by Sunday. One of the teachers I work with is taking her girls on their first Disney Cruise.

That will be 3 cruises in a row we'd be together Becky.

Would you do Alaska if it happens? Or are you a Caribbean (warm weather) person?

Maybe we'll just have to do both Aug and Oct that year to see all our new friends. :thumbsup2

It will be out of there by Sunday. By Thursday at 2 PM it should be on the north side of Great Abico (sp?) - the island just east (which you can see from the ship) of CC.

The track, however, takes it right over CC Wed into Thurs. Not sure if they'll be back up and running for this Fri or Sat.

The Sun cruise goes there next week Tuesday, so there should be a good shot they'll get there. Stingrays may be gone though. They release/lower the nets when storms come.

Hi!!!

I didn't get any video, but we are the family you kept running into at dinner, the Mayan ruins, Palo brunch, finale, etc...

I hope your family had a safe trip home.
Hi! We live like 30-40 minutes from the port so we were home safely by 9am! Thanks....hope you all had a safe trip home too!

Think it's time to try the main board to see if anyone caught that on video...

Don't know if we could afford 2 in a year, but it would be easier to convince DH for Alaska vs the Caribbean. That's one cruise that is on the list to do. I just don't think that the ships will be going there, I've heard they aren't equipped for Alaska sailings. I wonder if they will put the feel out for Hawaii and cruise there to see if there will be a demand in anticipation for the new DVC opening in 2011.

Jeff, 2009 sounds great but I don't think it'll be in the cards for us. When we cruise again, I think it'll have to be in the summer months. Getting back to normal is kicking our butts. The kids are knee deep in work (getting all caught up though) and with Rob away, I am pulling double duty, so it takes me twice as long to get anything done.

We don't mind the heat of summer and the crowds on the ship couldn't be any worse than last week. In fact the heat in KW felt like mid summer to me.:rotfl:

So.....as of now we are still eyeing 2011 when Emily graduates and Rob retires from active duty.

That being said, we will be at WDW 13-25 July 08, so if any of you are there, please track us down. We'd love to visit. Christmas 08, too.....

Time for bed.

Y'all have a great night.

How 'bout we start posting pics, people?

DD Sarah said this is what she wants to do when she graduates in 2011. We may do the drive cross country and see the sights on the way there, cruise, and fly or drive back depending on what time we have. Not sure if we will do this in the summer though, the humidity was draining us on this cruise. The dream would be to do a Christmas/graduation celebration cruise, but then again what would be the weather driving there, and the big question could Sean get the time off.

hi fellow kkers. just thought id pop in to say hi. didnt get a chance to meet many of you last week but i noticed a lot of the guys watching me on deck 10
you know who you are.:cutie: :cheer2:
as far as my getting my dream guy,..i did a lurking bigred thing all week and saw how happy he and the blue jay seemed to be and i just couldnt find it in my heart to break up another marraige.:sad1:

:rolleyes1
as far as a kk reunion, i have rebooked so count me in.:thumbsup2

Scott here:

Hello Everyone!! I had an awesome time on the cruise and it was a pleasure meeting everyone. Well almost everyone, sorry, I didn't get chance to meet you, Big Red.

Soooo, Big Red, you were wandering around the top decks. I thought I caught a glimpse of you once near the adult pool, but I wasn't sure. Come to think of it that must be the real reason why Cinamike was hanging around up on Deck #10. It makes perfect since now. And, he told me that he was up there whipping up on some Jr. high age kids in a game of basketball. Yea, right! He probably got schooled. I do remember spotting the Tart Annihilator up there too and she was all over him like white on rice. I guess she had gotten wind of your presence also and was going to make darn sure Cinamike behaved. Too bad!:lmao:

We should all get together and do it again sometime. Oh, that's right we are planning to do it again in 2009. I'm siked!:woohoo:

Hello to my fellow KKers!

It was so wonderful to meet all of you! Like Robin said, we've been chatting together for so long, it's hard not to keep it going!

We had a great time. The first few days before the cruise were sooooo hot, we couldn't believe it was late October. Felt more like late July!

Our suite was gorgeous! The pictures haven't been downloaded yet, but I'll try to post them sometime. Our concierge hosts were just terrific, unbelievable how many goodies were sent to our cabin. There's no possible way we could have ever eaten all the food we got, even with 6 of us in the cabin! I never posted here before that we were going to be in the Walt suite, as I never wanted to seem snobby or anything. We got the call in August asking if we wanted to upgrade from the cat 2 to the cat 1. Who would say no to that? The upgrade from 3 to 2 was four times more expensive than the upgrade from the 2 to the 1. Amazing!

We stayed at the Poly for 1 night after the cruise. We were in Epcot all day on Saturday. It rained, but at least the sun was hidden. I really didn't want another hot day in the parks. We tried Tutto Italia that evening. While the service was good, the food was disappointing. For those prices, we were expecting something much more impressive. Sigh, I miss the fettucine at Alfredos.

We got home on Sunday evening, and ordered pizza as we had nothing in the fridge! Monday was doctor visit day for John and Katie. Both were pretty miserable the end of the trip with colds. Actually, turns out Katie has an ear infection, and John has a sinus infection. Glad we took Monday off!

Well, I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I was supposed to be in bed an hour ago, but told DH I was just popping by here for a quick visit. I guess his "quick visit...not very likely" quote is holding true!

I do hope we can all keep in touch!

The Magic does have a 3 week dry dock after the EB Repo and the special 5 night cruise next year. That is 1 week longer than normal.

I'm just going on some of the rumors on the main thread. I think Alaska will be the only one that will peak my interest, but I don't see repo cruises back to back.

One might think the Wonder would go instead since it is its 10-year anniversary, but that ship will not be suited for that climate.

Hopefully we'll know in the next 8 weeks.

Paige,

We may see you in 2011. The first new ship is coming out that year and we've talked about cruising in June some year.

Maybe KK3? :confused3 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Ok something somewhat scary just happened. I was scanning the boards while laying in bed and the mattress shook and the house creeked. Didn't think anything of it because DH is laying here sleeping (and slept right through it) and I thought he just moved. Nope DS comes in and says did you feel that. Nothing on the news yet but think we just had a mild earthquake.

News just came on 5.6 quake near San Jose, CA which in the Bay Area, about an hour and half away. No other details so far. The news is now just talking to everyone with the same story, it rolled. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of feeling a quake, it doesn't necessarily alway shake, the ones that I have felt feels like you have waves going under you feet. Haven't felt something like that since the SF one in 89.

First off I don't think posting the ultimate upgrade would be seen as snobby. Someday I hope to be as lucky and stay in one of the Disney suites, when I win the lotto of course.:thumbsup2

It must have been going around the ship, we all came home with it as well.

DH here...Just saw a news blip on it, but we caught the tail end of it. Glad it was a rolling one and not the sudden shift kind. Growing up in the southern part CA, recall those oh sowonderfull quakes. First on was when in '71, I think. I recall having quake drills once a month throught school. Glad to see you all doing OK. Hope no major aftershocks come.:grouphug:
