I just typed up Kyles excuse for the front office at his school. Scott needs to drop it off on Monday. They need to have it on file so if he misses any other days then this trip they will not take us to court.

Sean's teachers are being pretty good about this trip. Most have said that they would give him work while he was out or he could make it up when he comes back and wished him a nice trip...
except...
his AP biology teacher.
She said that since it was an unexcused absence that she didn't have to offer him any assistance.
It's true, she is right, but......................


How did it go with Kyle and Kelsey's teachers?

Wow, CA schools don't get to that point until after 9 unverified/unexcused absences.

Ugh, it's always one.......seriously I don't understand these types of teachers. You teach because you want the kids to succeed, so why punish them because they are spending some quality family time. Some families don't get the standard summer off (like mine), so I don't understand this.

Wednesdays "Are you excited to ride in a plane?"

Her answer "Yes, really, really, really"

Thursdays question was "are you going to swim at the hotel"

Her answer was "yes"

I am doing what my DD teacher/counselor/ and psychologist told me to do and calling her in . I know it's fibbing but if I don't she will have to do 5 Saturday schools with the disciplinary issue kids. No I don't think so.....

Not as good as I thought it was going to go.

Kyle's one teacher said she would be glad to give him everything ahead of time. But we have nothing yet. I wish she would have sent it home last week so he could have done it over this past week break. Now if she does give it to him he will have to take his books or we will have to run out a make copies at the last minute.

Kelsey's teachers. Are half and half. Her math teacher gave her everything except the test. She can take that when she gets back. She is supposed to have her book work done by this Monday so I can go over it all with her. She was going to work on it over the week at her moms. Her Science teacher has not even communicated with us. PE she has to do daily on the trip. Spanish has not communicated with us either. SS. Has not communicated with us but we know that she has 2 current even articles due while we are gone so she was supposed to work on that over this past week also. Her lang arts teacher has not communicated with us either.

Mac's teacher, said she was going to give us stuff, but I am now doubting that so I am making work up for her on the plane and in the airport. She is easy to do that for.

For us it is 10 absences either way. But Kyle has already had 2. So this trip buts him at 8. They said if we have a letter on file then they will not take us to court over the 6 days we are gone.

I finally caught up here. It has been a nice relaxing time reading back. After I put little one to bed I will be paying bills so I will be back on then.

Good evening. We just got home from a football game. Our local high school team got a spankin' on homecoming night! What a pity.
